So Depressing

I really enjoyed the first part of Lorrie and Hunter's story in 'Wrecked'. Even though there was some pretty emotional topics, the book, as a whole, was sweet and fun. Unfortunately, 'Rescued' was greatly lacking in the "fun" department. It was just sad.

Picking up right where 'Wrecked' left off, 'Rescued' begins with Lorrie back at her Aunt and Uncle's home. Soon after, Hunter follows, looking to mend things with Lorrie. Both have to air their secrets, which gives new perspective to their relationship.

Once they've kissed and made up, the book pretty much details their daily life. Lorrie continues her therapy. Hunter helps renovate her aunt's kitchen. Everyone plays with the kittens. Blah, blah, blah. It was sweet, but pretty uneventful for the most part.

There were a few issues that came up toward the end, which made me wonder if our happy couple would be able to weather the storm. Eventually, they made out "okay" but I just couldn't help but feel that the book was just too damn depressing.

Overall, I give it three stars. It was "middle of the road" for me. Maybe it was my mood. Maybe it was the anticlimactic feeling that this book birthed. I liked it, but I just wasn't feeling it like the first one. It was just too depressing!

"Rescued" is the conclusion to Lorrie and Hunter's journey to a healthy relationship. I must say that this book had a lot of angst, and it was a very realistic romance between two troubled people.
The first book "Wrecked" had left us with not knowing what was going to happen between Hunter and Lorrie. Not only that but Hunter was hiding something, and I know I was dying to find out what the heck his secret was. When it finally is revealed, I have to say that I was stunned...It definitely to the story into a direction that I hadn't seen coming. This book will not be for everyone, as it is quite heavy and very real. There is not a lot of lovey dovey flowery situations going on. There is lots of emotion, heart, and my heart bled for this couple. They ended up with so much on their plates, and I constantly wondered how there would be a HEA?

I have to admit that I would love to be able to spill the beans about what Hunter's secret is; but that just isn't my style. What I can say is that I could relate to Hunter on so many levels, and I think that because of it I felt deeply for him and even Lorrie. Hunter is a guy who amazed me with his inner strength, and the ablility for him to look to the positive things in life despite the cards he was given. He just refused to ever give up, and I highly respected that quality in him. He is most assuredly a character I will never forget. As far as Lorrie goes...well..I could take her or leave her. She does pull through in the end, and she has to grow up pretty fast. I felt though that her problems were a lot less than Hunters. That isn't me being fair though, as her problems were real to her and she did try and better herself instead of totally wallow in her crap.

This is a book that I recommend to readers who like more realism to their romances. The writing in it was top quality, and Priscilla West is an author that I feel will go far if she continues on the path that she is on right now.One of my favorite quotes was said by Hunter:

"Sometimes, things happen to us that we never understand and we worry we'll never get back to normal. But there is no normal, Lorrie. All we can do is move past the pain and hope that we have someone to stand next to us."

Another line that got to me, was of course by Hunter again!

"You have me," he said between heavy breaths. "As long as you have me, you'll have somewhere to go."

How can you not fall in love with a man that says these kinds of things to the woman he loves. Sign me up!!! He is one of my all time fave book boyfriends, and someone that I will always hold dear to my heart.

Thank you to Priscilla West for honoring me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review. This book is set to be released on February 24,2014.

I really, really wanted to like this book. But I just couldn't. If I hadn't received this in exchange for a review, I probably would have quit after a chapter or two. It was boring . I was tempted to put it aside and read something else.

Once again I hated Lorrie. I tried. I swear I tried my best to like her this time, but the girl is too dramatic and childish. I don't have patience with those type of heroines!!! It's like she's unable to grow up, even though she appeared to understand and support Hunter. I don't know if it was this book or what, I just know that I can't stand her lol.

Then there's him. I loved Hunter in Wrecked, but I also hated how good he was with Lorrie considering that she was an asshole to him most of the time. I wanted him to grow some balls and stop being a pussy. I felt real bad that he had to go through the pain with the MS and have to deal with bitchy Lorrie at the same time. The guy didn't deserve any of that.

The dialogues in this book were way too cheesy and annoying for my taste. I think I wanted something big to happen and kept waiting for that BOOM that never came. For example, the plot with Marco was interesting and at the same time unnecessary. I didn't expect what happened with him and definitely NOT in a good way. The author didn't know how to deliver what could've been an intense plot and that made me mad. All that drama for that? C'monnnnnn.

The Wrecked Series is not a must-read. Sure, you can read it, just I don't think it's really worth the time. However, I am not going to give up on the author just yet.

Please keep us posted on the release date. I'm not a big fan of cliffhangers and probably would've waited to read Wrecked #1 so I hope not to have to wait too long. Please don't leave us in suspense for long

Book – Rescued (Wrecked #2)
Author – Priscilla West
Publication Date – February 24, 2014
Type – Conclusion
Genre – Romance, New Adult
Rating – 4 out of 5 Stars

Book provided by Author in exchange for an honest review.

Review
To be honest – I liked the first story better than this one – I don’t know why because I know that Lorrie was more annoying in Book 1 but I think it was because the story moved so quickly and there seemed to be more of a build up to the relationship. I know they go through some really rough times in this story and Hunter finally comes clean but it just seemed to be missing something.

It wasn’t Hunter – Man Oh Man….how I lust after Hunter! I just wanted to grab him in the story and reassure him that everything was going to be alright. So, that only leaves Lorrie – part of me believes that she doesn’t deserve Hunter and maybe that misconstrued my judgment on the story.

Give me Hunter any time of the day and that would make me a happy girl!

Re-Cap
Hunter will stop at nothing to get Lorrie back – this means even taking a break from his normal life to prove to Lorrie that he is serious about their relationship.

Hunter finally reveals his secrets to Lorrie and she is ready to be there for him and help him cope with his life and future. While Hunter still plays a major role in Lorrie’s recovery from the trauma in her past.

Will these two make it? Or will the obstacles be too much for them?

That’s all I can share with you – if you want these answers and more….get the book!

Wrap-Up
What is Hunter’s great secret? Will Lorrie ever find out why her step-dad murdered her mother? Stay tuned for scenes for next week’s episode!

I was so excited to get the conclusion to Hunter and Lorrie's story and I was sadly disappointed in this book. I enjoyed the first book Wrecked so much; there was good banter between the characters, it was set in a college setting, their story worked together as a couple and the storyline was interesting and kept me hooked.
Rescued did none of the above. I felt that the crazy cliffhanger we were left with was just sent flat by the beginning of the story. By the time Hunter and Lorrie were back together, their relationship had no spark. They were together, but really there was nothing that made you feel that way. In a way I felt that this book made Hunter seem weak and Lorrie weak and whiny. Not at all how I felt about the characters in the first book.
Such a Bummer...

This was the perfect conclusion to Lorrie and Hunter. Their challenge against physical limits and tragic pasts was tested in Rescued. The difficult journey was beautifully written, and I couldn't get enough.

Wow! What a great follow-up to book one, Wrecked. I love how Priscilla was able to take two very serious and difficult situations and show the struggle of her main characters, while giving them hope beyond the pain and confusion.

We leave book one with Lorrie trying to come to grips with the letter that she received a letter from the murdering bas***d of a step father. The confusion and pain in receiving that letter kept her from seeing that something serious was happening with Hunter as well. Her life completely falls apart when she learns that Hunter has MS, and instead of sharing this news with her he's been leaning on his ex-girlfriend Ada.

Feeling guilty, hurt, and confused from all of the misjudgments and misunderstandings, she leaves to stay with her aunt and uncle again. At this point Lorrie is more lost more than she ever thought. Everything seems so useless until Hunter comes in search of Lorrie, and is determined to make her understand that he needs her and they need one another.

Together they being down the path of dealing with Hunter's illness and Lorrie's traumatic past. Just as things start to look up for these two the world sends them another curve ball and Hunter is down for the call. Struggling to deal with being handicap, and once again having to give up on another one of his dream–MMA fighting, Hunter realizes that as long as he has Lorrie by his side his fight may be almost bearable.

Lorrie on the other hand continues falling into a rabbit hole waiting for answer that only Marco can provide–why did he kill her mother. She's invested so much time and emotion into what his answer will be, so when disappointment hits again she doesn't know if she has the strength to carry on. Of course she didn't realize that her strength wasn't only within, but in the one she loves–Hunter.

The Best Thing:
This was such a change in pace from what I'm used to reading by Priscilla West, and I must say she did a great job. I was emotionally invested in both Lorrie and Hunter from book one and have been cheering for them ever since.

The Worst Thing:
We don't know much about Marco, but that's okay because what we needed to know was shared–he was a horrible person.

I have a love hate relationship with how the book ended. While it had a very realistic approach to how one may deal with the issues these two were experiencing, the lack of answers really grated on me. I absolutely understand why Lorrie felt like her world was just slipping away. Marco's big meeting was a huge blow to her sanity and strength. This basically left me feeling as hollow as Lorrie felt. I just couldn't believe what I was reading, and to think that that was it. There was no more that Priscilla had to offer. Again, a total love hate relationship with the end of this book.

Rescued was a great conclusion to the Wrecked Series!!

What I liked: ✪ Hunter!! PURELY…Hunter!!♥ I loved after the ending of book one, he chases after Lorrie relentlessly until she finally gave in.

Which brings me to my ONLY QUALM with Hunter...

Why Lorrie?! Why her?! She was so frustrating at times while he was so sweet, sexy, and charming. If I could meet a guy like Hunter I would be all over him!

*Sorry!! Got side tracked there!! Mini rant over!!...*

→ Now back to why I LOVED Hunter♥!!←

I mean, as new challenges, revelations, and even more twists and turns presented themselves, I liked how Hunter was the rock to hold himself and Lorrie together. As for Lorrie, I don’t know. I wanted her to be more pro-active and stronger but she kind of fell short for me. I'm not saying that she's a bad or horrible person because she's not. She did have some redeeming points throughout the story BUT...I REALLY WISH she was more ardent and more like worthy and engaging like Hunter. Just saying.

What I didn’t like: ✪ There was NO real punch to this
story. :(
✪ And as USUAL, Lorrie was still annoying and
over dramatic. Ugh.

Over all, a lovely read that had its ups and downs for me at times but nonetheless I enjoyed over all!

I really reveled in the struggles that each of the characters go through and seeing how far they come along to make it work. In a way, you could say, they rescue each other from their own personal hells and bring out the light in one another.

I’m so sad that there will be no more Hunter from here on out but I’m glad that I can be satisfied that our characters have FINALLY found some peace and order in their lives. And have each other as rewards!!

Awesome two- part series!

**ARC PROVIDED BY PRISCILLA WEST IN EXCHANGE FOR AN HONEST REVIEW**

Where do I begin? I absolutely LOVED Wrecked! It took me by surprise, which is very hard to do these days. Like everyone else who read it, I was going a little crazy waiting for Rescued! When I was given the opportunity to be given an ARC, I couldn't wait to start on it!

That's pretty much where my excitement ended. This book was NOTHING like the first one, and not in a good way.

This book was BORING! Normally I can get through a good book in a day, easy. I had to force my way through this one, and actually welcomed outside distractions.

Hunter and Lorrie both had some issues. Hunter with his health problem and terrible childhood, and Lorrie with the death of her parents in tragic ways. Hunter seemed to be the only person who was maturing and working on himself as well as his relationship with Lorrie.

Lorrie was annoying. Seriously. The only good thing I can say about her in this book was that she got back together with Hunter and didn't leave him when his health problem took a serious turn for the worse. She was so consumed and obsessed with Marco, his letter, his motive, and all things Marco, that she was neglecting and ignoring her relationship with Hunter when it needed focus and attention the most. It was frustrating!! Hunter had some moments when I wanted to smack him for being so stubborn, but he was at least justified. Lorrie was just downright irritating with her selfishness at the time. I did feel bad for her at the end when it came time for her to try and get some closure about her mom.

There were some questions all the way up to the end for me, and even some new ones that came up in the end with absolutely no explanation. Why even bring up and propose such a question, just to never get it answered? There was so much left unfinished and unanswered, I felt. The "action" (which was actually non-existent) went all the way up to the last chapter. The author seemed to try and tie all loose ends up in the short epilogue, but failed. It only raised more questions for me. I'm very disappointed. I feel like this entire book could have been included in the first one. I just expected more.

There was also hardly any mention of the kittens who still seemed important to me. All of a sudden they were brought up in the epilogue when told which kitchen went to whom. This book, the characters (and kittens) weren't given the justice they deserved. Ada needed an ass kicking that never came, and Gary needed a confrontation that never happened.

This book lacked serious depth. I feel like a completely different author wrote it. I'm not completely turned off from this author though. I will still look for more books from her, if that's any indication.

I would give this book a 4.5 stars. It is a pretty quick read and it picks up right where book 1 left off. I was so happy that there wasn't any lost time waiting for Hunter to be reunited with Lori...they didn't wast any time jumping into the deep waters. I found this book to be much more engaging then the first...I'm not sure if it is because I was already invested in the characters or I just liked this part of their story better. Beautiful love story with a pinch of angst....and a reminder to us all to keep fighting and cherish the ones we love!

This is a two book series that should be only one book. It's needs to be heavily edited. Really wasn't worth the time. A real disjointed plot line. Many dramatic story arches are left unresolved or solved with no reason or effort. The ending was beyond abrupt. I liked parts of the beginning of the story but only just.

If you are looking for a cage fighter, this isn't the right story, he basically stops fighting right in the beginning of the book. Go try Real by Katy Evans instead. Her first book is really good and even the follow ups aren't as badly written as this is.

Rescued certainly had different tone from Wrecked. It was more somber and the direction of Lorrie’s and Hunter’s life took totally different direction. I didn’t expect Hunter’s condition to deteriorate to that level and it was sad seeing how he had hard time coping with it.

I like the book but I didn’t like how the story ended. I felt there was some unfinished business. Throughout the book she was so obsessed with knowing why Marco killed her mother. I understand why but why was he screwing up with Lorrie? We never got the answer. Lorrie finally accepted that she was royally screwed without answer, but I still need to know why

Oh by the way I wonder how her aunt and uncle could stand having not only Those two deserve some kind of medal for being good/understanding human beings.

I received an copy from the author in exchange for my honest review, so here it is. After Wrecked I was very anxious for this one and wanting to know what happened with Lorrie and Hunter. This is an emotional story and both are fighting there own past. Lorrie is still trying to move past her parents deaths and the step-father who wants her to forgive him for killing her mother which lead to her father killing himself. Lorrie is haunted by Marco and she can't move past it. Hunter has finally decided to tell Lorrie he has MS and wants them to move forward. Can Lorrie and Hunter be there for each other? What happens when Hunter has an MS attack will Lorrie help or run? I loved this series but did feel that this one was missing something and for me the ending needed a little more. The story is well written and flows well, pick up Wrecked and Rescued and decide for yourself.

This book was perfect, with its imperfect people, unanswered questions and shitty situations.

Life is not perfect, so I was glad when Priscilla West continued how she started (in Wrecked). There were still situations where life dealt Hunter and Lorrie some crappy moments, but by creating their own 'normal', with love, patience, support, a ton of gumption, and someone at your back, worked well for them ...

"I know it's been difficult for you." I shook my head. "It's okay. That's what we're here for right? To save each other from doing stupid things? You've saved me a few times already, so I guess it's my turn now." He nodded slowly, a thoughtful expression on his face."

"You have me." he said between heavy breaths. "As long as you have me, you'll have somewhere to go."

This is a beautiful sad story with a empowering theme.

The conclusion to Lorrie and Hunter's journey to a healthy relationship. She didn't really get answers but she got Hunter. I love this book although I got frustrated with Lorrie and her stepfather(the murderer). This seem like a very realistic romance novel. Loved it....

4.25 stars. I actually finished this yesterday BUT I desperately needed to read the 2nd book so I forgot to write a review. So I'm doing a 2-reviews-in-1 type of deal.

Wrecked starts off with college student named, Lorrie. She is starting school again after taking off 2 semesters to deal with the death of her parents. Her mother was murdered by Lorrie's stepfather, and her dad killed himself because he couldn't live without Lorrie's mom. While contemplating her life, Lorrie sees a cat and falls into an ice lake. She almost drowns but a stranger saved her. They go back to his house to warm up, but Lorrie does not want to form attachments because she wanted to find herself and feel normal first (which I actually think it a very reasonable thought after all she's been through). So after she dresses, her mysterious Tattooed & Muscled (she nicknames TIM) stranger goes in for a shower. She runs away stealing his clothes, but not before stealing his garbage to repay him for his clothes.

Days later Lorrie and her best friend Daniella go out to a bar on a terrible double date. As she tries to ditch her Justin Bieber date, there is a commotion going on. Apparently, they have MMA fights to attract crowds. Lorrie goes to see the fight, and low and behold, is her TIM hero is one of the fighters. She tries to leave but it seems TIM remembers her too and catches up with her. She soon finds out his name is Hunter Jensen. They both have an instant connection with each other but neither want to pursue anything because of their personal issues and fear of getting close to anyone. However, that does not stop them from being drawn to one another.

Hunter and Lorrie's story is filled with so much heartache and pain. My heart broke for Lorrie in Wreck but my heart really broke for Hunter in Rescued. I really enjoyed their story. It sort of felt like a Beautiful Disaster thing going on BUT, I thought the issues Lorrie and Hunter had to go through were much more devastating. Hunter and Lorrie are both incredibly strong characters, and I would not know what to do if I were ever in their position. And they both are made even stronger with each other.

I really loved these books, granted I did not read the 1st books in the series but I would like to go back to them. I just wish the epilogue was a little longer. I was hoping to see more into Lorrie and Hunter's future. 5 years down the road are they still making it? Is Hunter's disease progressing? I NEED TO KNOW! lol There were just so many tough roads ahead I wish we had gotten more. But besides that, I really liked these 2 books and I am happy to have read them.

Wow, this was a totally unexpected two book mini-series. Yes I was attracted to it because it was YA/NA and about a cage fighter but this book is so much more!

Both of the main characters, Hunter and Lorrie, have suffered and are continuing to suffer at the hands of fate but in finding each other they try, sometimes unsuccessfully, to save each other.

After the cliffie at the end of Wrecked I couldn't wait to read Rescued and to see how Hunter is after his last fight both within the cage and with Lorrie.

Lorrie has returned to her Aunt's house after being contacted by her stepfather and after having her heart broken by Hunter. As Hunter recovers from his fight though he knows that it's Lorrie he wants at his side for the most important fight in his life.

You feel your heart breaking when you realise what demons Hunter and Lorrie are facing and Hunter especially, tattoos and muscles and all, is especially vulnerable which is hard to witness in someone perceived to be so strong.

Everyone saw the tattoos and muscles, but Hunter had shown me something deeper today. He wasn’t a mountain of meat that could take any abuse thrown at him in a cage. He was real. He had hopes and dreams and a heart bigger than that of anyone I’d ever met. I had broken that heart once, but he still came to find me.

I would seriously recommend this series to anyone who loves their fighter and NA/YA books. The stories are extremely well written and cause your emotions to go onto overload.

ARC provided by author for honest review

**Please read Wrecked (Wrecked, #1) before reading Rescued

I was head over heels for Wrecked! I loved Hunter and Lorrie. I enjoyed reading about their journey to love. At the end of Wrecked I was devastated by Lorrie & Hunter’s refusal to share their darkest secrets and was eagerly awaiting Rescued so that I could find out what happens next in their journey.
While I didn’t love Rescued as much as Wrecked, it was a great story! I think my issue was that in Rescued Hunter and Lorrie have to deal with the reality of what their lives are going to be. Hunter dealing with his MS and Lorrie dealing with the devastation of her mother’s murder (by her step-father) and her Father’s suicide. These are really heavy issues and understandably brought more of a somber feel to the book.
Lorrie handles Hunter’s revelation of his MS as one would expect. She has a lot of questions and Hunter is very open and honest (finally) with what he is going through and how he is feeling.
Hunter is shocked to find out that Lorrie’s step-father has been in touch with her. He encourages her to try and get closure so that she can move on with her life.
There was not as much ‘sexy’ time between the two and that made me a little sad. They had such chemistry in the first book. They do get a few stolen moments, but it is hard since they are living with Lorrie’s Aunt & Uncle.
The epilogue kind of frustrated me a little. It just seemed too contrived. Like everything is all tied up in a little bow and handed to you, cats, friends, family and all. Nothing is left out. I like a HEA, but this one just seemed to spoon feed.
All in all Rescued was a great sequel to Wrecked, a book that I loved! Very satisfied.

I read both Wrecked and Rescued as a series so my review speaks to both.

Cliffhangers....everywhere I turn anymore, there are freaking cliffhangers! I am seriously glad that I got to read this entire story and not left hanging at Book 1.

These two books were a mess of emotions, painful situations and guarded secrets. Priscilla tackles some pretty strong subjects amazingly well and enough to captivate you and make you want to come back for more.

In "Wrecked," we meet Lorrie and Hunter. Lorrie is lost, emotionless and broken. Her mother is dead, her father committed suicide and worst case scenario, she has absolutely no idea what started all this in motion. Hunter, the bad boy MMA fighter finds Lorrie and of course is drawn to her in a way he can't understand.

Lorrie has no desire to open herself up to anyone but Hunter's charming personality convinces her they need to be friends. An intensely beautiful friendship develops which in turn leads to a romantic relationship. But even that relationship begins to take on a life of its own when they ignore the outside world and retreat into each other. You can tell they continue to hide what is really hurting them inside.

Things come to a head at the end of "Wrecked" leading to one heck of a cliffhanger. "Rescued" picks up at the end and finally gets to the reveal of what Hunter has been hiding. I truly can't offer much of a synopsis without giving away the entire story.

These books perfectly compliment each other, are extremely fluid and wonderfully written. I will say that neither books were exactly what I expected. There are some times that are fairly slow but the buildups are perfect.

Pick up this intense series and get another sexy, steamy book boyfriend to add to your collection!

Rescued, the follow up to Wrecked, by Priscilla West, is an emotion filled roller coaster. At the conclusion of Wrecked, things with Lorrie and Hunter are completely messed up. Due to a series of huge misunderstandings and total lack of communication, Lorrie has fled college and Hunter. The murder of Lorrie’s mother by her stepfather is something that she just cannot put behind and her and her stepfather is hell bent on not making that any easier on her. Hunter is afraid to tell Lorrie everything that he has been hiding from her for fear that she will either leave him or pity him. Not many young women want to deal with a man who has a progressive debilitating disease. He does come to find her and win her back, but as we already know it will not be an easy road.

I loved the Rescued just as much as I loved Wrecked. There is a lot of heavy subject material to deal with here, so if you’re looking for a roses and sunshine wrap-up you will be disappointed. Given their circumstances and their relationship, everything is very realistic and relatable. My heart ached for them both. They needed each other so much, but the things they were dealing with made it so hard for them to communicate. Neither wanted to seem weak or needy. Pride is sometimes not a good trait to have. It’s not all doom and gloom though. There are some incredibly sweet moments that Lorrie and Hunter shared, and I feel like I appreciated them more given the hard times they were having.

Again the last third of this book was like a freight train. I absolutely devoured this book. I had to know how things were going to play out between Hunter and Lorrie as well as how they deal with everything in the outside world.

This book hits you with a one-two punch to the gut. It leaves you wrecked and emotional, sobbing into your pillow, and then gives you the ray of sunshine you need in order to recover.

This book picks up where the first one left off. After the emotional break-up Lorrie and Hunter went through at the end of the first book, we finally get to see what Hunter was keeping secret. Why he was so determined to keep fighting and to keep pieces of himself from Lorrie. He didn't want to be a burden to her, but he didn't realize that she needed to have no barriers between them.

This book took you on a journey as they struggled to be there for each other, while dealing with their own struggles. It shows the fine line we walk when we are drowning in our own pain and suffering, yet trying to keep it from those we need and love the most. The struggle to be strong, and to remain independent, is a real one. This story addresses issues that most people will never have to deal with, and it does it in the most beautiful way possible.

I must admit that I wanted to thrown my Kindle several times while reading this book. It was just that powerful. While this series has some similarities to other fighter stories, this book was completely different in the most important ways. This story had me captivated from beginning to the end. The author certainly has a beautiful novel on her hands here, and I cannot recommend it enough.

I received this as an ARC from the author. This was a pleasant surprise since my review was not 100% favorable. I would like to say that this book changed my opinion of the series.

So we have Hunter and Lorrie in the middle of their relationship breakdown. These 2 have seriously never been in an relationship if communication and secrets are at the forefront.

Yes, we know they both have personal issues to deal with but haven't they learned they can do it better together than apart. As Lorrie struggles to find herself and deal with Marco's betrayal we see how strength and weakness can destroy someone.

I liked her strength and I liked how the author made her flaws visible without making her look like an idiot. I also liked how Hunter made himself visible in her life without acting like a macho alpha-male.

As the story continues we see how their struggles turn to strength and how they deal with it separately and together.

My only negative is the ending I didn't like the abrupt way the story changed to the future. I did not like how the epilogue came to be. However I did like the fact that the story had not just ended without knowing how our heroes fared.

Overall this story has improved and I have grown to like the characters but I loved the story it is worth it.

I received a ARC copy of this book in exchange for my review.

I was SO excited to get my hands on this book and find out what the future held for Lorrie and Hunter. This book was good, but in my honest opinion it didn't feel very well thought out. It almost felt like, well there needed to be a conclusion so I just wrote something. I felt like it was way to short to begin with. There were so many situations that could have been more developed. Hunter chased after her right away and with a 5 minute conversation, they were back together and working on a future. It was almost like.... all the build up in the last book, the big cliff hanger, all for them to just get right back together within the first pages of the book. It seemed so rushed.

I still loved the book. It was nice to see that they got it right and worked things out. BUT there was just so much that needed to be expounded on. The whole thing with the step father could have just been left out of the book. It really made no sense. I mean, I understand Lorrie wanting answers, but it just seemed so forced. I would have loved to see this book be more about their reunion, and getting though Hunter's illness troubles, then a 3rd book about them a few years down the road.

I do appreciate the chance to read this early, and I do love that they finally got it right :)

I'm so glad that Hunter and Lorrie had a happy ending on this story! Having a Multiple Sclerosis is a very big deal. It's an ordinary case especially Hunter is too young have something like MS. It's really scary. I'm really happy with the result.

Multiple sclerosis (MS) affects the brain and spinal cord.
Causes of MS: Genetics, the environment, even viruses may play a role in who gets MS.
Symptoms:Early MS symptoms include weakness, tingling, numbness, and blurred vision. Other signs are muscle stiffness, thinking problems, and urinary problems. Treatment can relieve MS symptoms and delay disease progression.

It's really scary. So after learning that Hunter has MS. I got pretty worried for what will happened on this book. But the ending is major satisfaction! Another thumbs up! Though I hate that Hunter and Lorrie moments are kinda limited, I'm hoping for more!

Great read if....you enjoyed the first book, new adult novels, romance stories, over coming obstacles, facing challenges, haunting pasts, hot sex scenes, college stories, defining relationships, fighting for what you want, unexpected turns, plot twists, pushing forward, and a bittersweet HEA!

Side Note: So after reading the first one all I hoped for was that the second one wouldn't just be an extended repeat of the first novel. And I'm glad it wasn't! Here's the thing with reading Priscilla's work, you float along, you enjoy yourself, there are some things that make you smile or swoon and just when you think this book was good, BOOOOOOMMMMMMMM, it gets real and goes from being good to great! Just the WTF just happened moments and OMG moments alone make this a must read. Priscilla has her own style and I think she's underrated. I'm very VERY glad I read these books!

Received a copy from the author in exchange of an honest review.

I am going to keep this review short and sweet, it was the perfect ending. I don't think I would have wanted this book to end any other way.

I also find it highly refreshing that the author made Hunter a genuine good guy, not some crazy psychopath that falls in love with the main character.

Finally I think we could all use a little Hunter in our life, he is a true man... unlike someone of these others we read about.

Sigh. I am sad it is over. Go read this already ;)

ARC REVIEW.

This book took emotion to the next level. everything these two people went thru was horrible and so unexpected. I mean, while reading I knew something was going to happen but not at all what I had expected.
in this book you see these people in a different light and it was truly sad but empowering!

I loved this book!

I was really looking forward to this followup to wrecked. I was glad that Lorrie and Hunter got their HEA but I was a little disappointed in the story. It was emotional but I enjoyed the first book a lot more. I found Lorrie annoying in the first book and didn't like her any better in the second.

I did not like this as much as the first, but I did like that we were given closure. The end got nailbitingly good-I just wished the whole story was that way. I would have liked more answers about her mother's death, but overall I felt it was a nice ending to their story.
