This book is about a girl named Collen. Collen and her friend Meredith were gonna be co captains for there cheer squad at their school. But when they were practicing Meredith told Collen that she was moving to Fenton. Collen was sad, that Meredith and Collen wouldn't be able to be co captains together. That night Collen could not sleep. The next morning Collen went to coach Ryan and told her that Meredith moved to Fenton. Coach Ryan asked if Collen an do the coaching. Collen said yes. Then the cheer squad practiced the routine for the all stars competition. Then the day after Collens mom drove Collen to Meredith's new school. When Collen went to the gym she saw Meredith's new squad practicing. Then she noticed the the routine that they made together.when it was break time Meredith spotted Collen. Meredith ran over to her. But when she came she asked why are you using our routine? Meredith said I thought I could show it to the my new squad. Collen said well you can't said Collen.
when they were done Collen's mom came to pick her up, and drove her back to her cheer squad. Her squad was waiting for her. A girl from the squad said to Collen that the routine was to boring and the team and Collen agreed. So the girl said why dont you show us the new routine that you and Meredith made said the girl.But Collen was not sure cause Meredith was already using that routine. Collen tought okay,Collen showed the routine evrybody was clapping. So they practiced that routine. Evry they they got better. That night Collen could not sleep thinking about the fight. So Collen texted Meredith about the routine but she did not answer, so collen did not care and did not think about Collen.so at the gym Collen announced to evrybody that they will have to do there old routine. So at the compitition they did there routine. But Collen ran into somebody, and that was Meredith. Meredith said that she was sorry when it was time for Meredith squad to performe they did not do the routine that they were practicing. At the end Collen and Meredith did the routine that they made.

I read this when I was in 8th grade and I loved it.Granted that it is an easy book I still loved it and the story behind it.
