Runaways

Rate this book
A select group of Danbury Prep students are interrogated about the disappearance of the school’s most unlikely couple. Kaylee and Mason left behind a dead body and a trail of secrets. It’s anyone’s guess what happened, but everyone has their theories. Classmates Lily, Jared, Keesha, Trevor, and Glinda span the high school strata and each possesses insight into the mysterious relationship. Their stories, relationships, and social hierarchies become increasingly tangled as the story unfolds. Runaways explores the web of high school politics, relationships, and the fact that every story has another side — and sometimes, the truth has a price. "Since when are a couple of runaways a reason to interrogate half the school?"

Okay so I did really enjoy this book, though I had the big plot-twist AND the killer figured out super early on, it was still a good read. One star was lost because of the ending… it did reveal who the murderer was, but then ended abruptly with all of these loose ends? I’ve been googling to see if there’s a sequel, since the book was left SO unfinished, and while I’ve seen it mentioned that there’s more book I cannot actually find them. So for now, one star down. I do hope there’s a sequel, otherwise the ending really sucks.

I watched Runaways on YouTube by awesomeness tv (I believe), and I was really into it, except for the fact that when I was done, I didn't find out who the killer was. So, I bought the book thinking it would, and sadly it did not. I am unsure if there is another book to this one. Currently I'm a little disappointed.

This book was very unique. At first, I was a bit wary of the simplicity of the writing, but after a while, I appreciated the simplicity. It really added to the story because I was constantly thinking about what small details I needed to figure out who committed the murder. This book had me constantly thinking and coming up with crackpot theories as I progressed. The story was very fast-paced and addicting. I couldn't put it down. In fact, I read it in one sitting.
I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a quick, fun read.

I was slightly disappointed with this book as I felt the story was really jumbled and was not well thought throughout. There were parts where I felt that finally something was going to happen, like my own self "victory moment". But it just confused me and the ending of tho book did not help me any further. Not trying to sound horrible and judgemental because I have never written a book myself, however the writing felt lazy and made me frustrated as a reader as there was no ending... It just finished!!!

this was one of an amazing book. it had lots of twist and turns. it was enjoyable but i wanted more.it ended in a cliff hanger. the ending was not at all satisfying
so basically Kaylee and Mason are dating. but they are not your usual couple. he is a bad boy; she is a rich good girl. then one day someone is murdered and everyone thinks he did it. did he or did he no? who murdered the mysterious man?

I really think this could have been great but it's broken into several micro books and those are so frustrating. 80% of this book could have been summed up quickly and I could have learned something new. So, even though I am super curious I will not keep reading the series.
