Join Thea Stilton and the Thea Sisters in their third magical special edition adventure!
There's a mystery in the land of the lotus flowers!
Thea Stilton and Thea Sisters are called to help to an enchanted land! It's a world linked to the legends of Japan, and it is in danger. The realm's special lotus flowers are disappearing, and no one knows why!
The mouselets set off on a quest to solve this mystery. They must discover the secret of the lotus flowers -- but can they trust the strange magical creatures that they meet on their way? It's a fabumouse adventure!
The Spring is arriving at Mouseford Academy. The Thea Sisters get to Thea's office to find a mysterious phone call arriving from Will Mystery, the leader of the Seven Roses Unit. Quickly, Paulina connects the phone call to Thea, when they discover that The Thea Sisters will be going to one of the fantasy world's, The Land of Flowers. The land's powerful Lotus Flowers are disappearing, but why?
I liked that this book was based on Japanese myths. I got confused about the cover because the Thea sisters never went ice skating or got wings. This book was mysterious because you never knew what Will, Thea and the Thea Sisters were going to do!
I feel like the disconnect between the author and artist is unforgivable THIS SOON in the book, after so deliberately emphasising the (nonexistent) lights in the text. I am probably also grumpy because, though this isn't my first review of the "Thea Stilton" books, it IS the first one I read, before I started on Goodreads, and I was
1. perplexed that the title character barely shows up in her OWN BOOKS* 2. aggravated at the persistent Fancy Fonts strewn throughout the book (terrible practice from a graphic design standpoint even as I'm aware it's a *trendy* thing to do for younger readers) 3. always completely unable to tell the Thea Sisters apart, as they seem to function as a collective mass except VERY OCCASIONALLY one of them stands out for plot reasons 4. annoyed at how many cheese-related jokes there are! Mice don't like cheese! ...but it's so integrated into the collective consciousness (not that their name being Stilton helps) that I'm aware is a losing battle, even as I mention it in every review where it bothers me.
Also not helpful: This book is actually really heavy! Surprisingly so! (and smells a bit strange, but that's no doubt a side effect of whoever is handling the pre-owned books in my area)
The Japanese mythology is actually respectfully researched, though, if on a superficial "whatever makes it sounds legitimate" level, so props to that at least. The art is also nice, except
5. it always bugs me how their faces are ALWAYS from two angles: profile and 3/4 view. I get that angles between these are subtle, but NOBODY is ever drawn face-on?? Looking straight into the camera??? The angles in between probably look identical because the perspective on their noses is like the perspective on Mickey Mouse's ears: always the same from any angle! At no time do their noses—presumably in the center of their faces—actually appear in the center! Even accounting for perspective! (Mickey can at least do THAT much!) 6. (the aforementioned lack of coloured/colored lights and, as I noted when glimpsing the other reviews on this book, they never go ice-skating or grow faerie wings like they have on the cover)
On the whole, I get why the series is popular (though, not why the library discarded this perfectly decent copy and kept other books in the series, hmm), but it aggravates me that it could be better than it is... but isn't. Those little aggravations just annoy me too much. I hate that I'm constantly grading this against the better, imaginary Thea Stilton book in my head, but I can only review the book that exists.
*I note that she actually DOES go on the adventure in this one (if belatedly, after a request from Will), instead of as a "Here's the adventure my fan club had that I had no part in!" introductory blurb for the other "Thea Stilton" books I read, so this one wasn't as bad in my mind. The others genuinely disappointed me, though.
Thea sister and thea are called to save an enchanted land! So they say yes it was long journey the problem was that the special flower lotus flower are disappearing so they have no idea who villain did this they with Tanuki an weird creature from japan, Tengu he is like a weird red fairy, Orochi a dragon with 8 heads and 8 tails, The snow fairies who are some fairies from japan, Kitsune some beautiful golden fairies, Kappa a type of turtle, Kijimuna a type fairylike, Umibozu a giant creature who is like a octopus, Baku is like a pink weird elephant and the Laughing fairies who are fairies who laugh a lot. But any of those creatures were the lotus flowers thief at final was this big like whale who said “I have eaten those plants because they help me live more and before I had my stone but someone robbed it so I have eaten this plants” so at final was this wizard named Hiboshi because he falled in love with this creature named nymph the nymph’s name was Orihime but Orihime’s dad would let him be with him so Hiboshi stole the stone because it would help Orihime’s dad to say that Orihime could be with him so at final the giant whalelike creature and he said “I know I won’t live as I was going to but I will give you half of the stone it should enough to keep helping Orihime’s dad so they lived happily.
The story was about a group of girls named Tea Stilton that went to a place named the 7 roses to get training, and they saw that there was a place in danger so they went and rescued the place. The plot twist is that it was christmas when all of this happened so they couldn’t spent Christmas with their family’s . The characters were: Violet (she is always drinking tea), Collet (she loves Pink and she always has to be wearing Pink or else she would get mad), Niky (she loves animals and she is always in touch with nature), Pamela (she is always trying to get sweets and she is really into electronics), Paulina (she is always studying and she is really kind with new people) Will Mystery (he is a detective of the 7 roses, will has a crush on Paulina)..I think the author was Persuasive Writing. The most important moment in the book was: the clues because with the clues they could find the bad guys. This book did change me because it taught me to put attention all the time because you don’t now who is watching you. I would recommend this book to Luci because she likes a lot the books of Thea Stilton.
Thea Stilton was what got me into reading in the first place. I have 16 Thea Stilton books. And i loved them all. I still love them, but i don't enjoy them as much as i used to. Because as i grow older, my interest in Young Adult Fantasy grows too. And i've been reading books by Leigh Bardugo or Victoria Aveyard. I think Thea Stilton will forever be my childhood favorite book. I love Paulina and Will, they're perfect for each other <3 (I apologize if there were misspellings or incorrect grammar, English isn't my first language and I am still learning something new everyday, so please tolerate me if there were mistakes)
This is the third in a series, but we found it in a LFL and decided to pick it up. We follow the Thea Sisters as they're invited to the IIS to help out their old friend Will.
Soon after arriving, the girls get tucked into a new mission in the Land of Minwha, where the lotus flowers are disappearing, which is slowly destroying the world.
A great read for young readers! This book was great about showing that everyone has a story, even if others think they're bad that may not be the case, and that even thr bad guy may not be as bad as he seemed.

If you want to introduce your kids to Yōkai/Yūrei/Obake, or whatever Japanese folkloric creatures you can think of, this isn't it. At one point, they bypass YAMATA-NO-FREAKING-ŌROCHI, which took a STORM GOD to subdue, using an MP3 PLAYER. Admittedly, it's sort of the type of thing Yō-Kai Watch would do, but it actually works there because THAT'S THE POINT OF THE SERIES! Oh, and nice Sailor Cirno cosplay on the front/sarcasm.
The stories to complicated and – therefore you won't understand in so lot of stuff is going on I recommend the 9th edition not this one please please choose if you like reading Complex story lines or if you can't deal with things like Complex story lines so if you can then I would recommend you can read this book but if you don't really get Complex story lines then please go for another Geronimo books a lot of them are better than this
This is my first Thea Stilton book. I found it easier to appreciate Geronimo. This was too magical for me and there were times of trusting fate that troubled me. Still there were some redeeming traits - teamwork, the emphasis of spreading kindness, and the damage anger can cause to others and ourselves.
There are many Thea Stilton books in our school library, but I've never read one. I figured it was about time that I changed that fact, so that I could have an opinion to offer my students. This particular story includes many mythical Japanese creatures and a romance as well.
This time was the legends of Japan. Awww I loved it 😍😍😍🤗tanuki was so cute :,). I wish he had gone with them to the journey. I really liked this book, the creatures and everything was so wonderful 🎋🎋🎋🎋🎋🎋💐💐💐💖🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸💖🌸🌸🌸🎋🎋
The secret of the snow was about Thea stilton and the Thea sister had to go on a mission to find who is stealing the flowers. In the end it was a fish he said he had to steal them because someone took this stone to provide him food so he ate the flowers.
Ths book is great but in the middle it got a bit boring but later it was very interesting, but I didn't understand why the name of the book is THE SECRET OF THE SNOW

It was an amazing book! There was excitement, adventure and fun! I loved it and I think that many others will too! There are lots of interesting facts that I think that your child can learn from.
