Music star Brooks Kent is after one too many scandals, a new record with less-than-stellar sales, and a concert debacle, he's this close to getting fired by his management team and his label. One last opportunity to clean up his image means crossing a line Brooks has sworn never to do and he takes off instead.
In small town Brandywood, Maddie Yardley has been put in charge of a musical charity festival and can't seem to get anyone to agree to headline. Then the answer to her woes seem to be miraculously answered as Brooks comes crashing through the front door of Yardley's Country Depot one night—literally. In his car.
Maddie offers Brooks a stay and play at the festival and she'll keep quiet about the destruction he's caused on Main Street. But Brooks doesn't take nicely to bribing. What's more, he's not quite sure what to make of the fiery woman who's threatening to feed him to the tabloid wolves. Or the fact that he'd like to kiss that smirk right off her face.
The more time Brooks stays in Brandywood, the more he finds himself unable to walk away from the magnetic pull Maddie has over him. But his past is bound to come reckoning . . . and threatens not only to destroy the simmering romance, but any chance he has for fixing what he's broken.
A contemporary small town romance with steamy, open door romantic scenes and tear-jerking moments about old wounds and finding forgiveness, Ever With Me is the fifth book in the Brandywood Small Town Romance Series, which are interconnected, stand-alone novels. language, childhood trauma
Annabelle McCormack writes historical romantic fiction, fantasy romance, and contemporary romance packed with sprawling adventures, epic love, and soulmates who just can’t stay away from each other (even when the world is falling apart). If there’s a sweeping love story with high stakes and deep emotions, she’s probably writing it—or at least dreaming about it while chasing down her next cup of coffee.
When she’s not wrangling words, she’s wrangling five home-schooled kids, a couple of dogs, and an unreasonable amount of books in Maryland. If life had more hours (and less laundry), she’d be traveling, painting, or becoming a professional pastry chef. For now, she’s content with baking, reading, lifting heavy things at the gym, and plotting her next great escape—er, novel.

What a deliciously fun rock star romance set in the mountainous small town of Brandywood 💕
This time it was Maddie Yardley's turn to find love (although her brother Logan also met his match) and I loved all the sass she had to give those around her. Broody musician Brooks was the perfect match for her, and Author Annabelle McCormack provided the perfect mix of the classic rockstar trope alongside all the 🔥 and criminal intrigue!
It's bittersweet to have this brilliant series be over and to say goodbye to the couples we've come to know and love but I'll keep reading everything this Author works on in future!
This is the fifth and final book in the Brandywood series and I have to say that I write this with tears in my eyes! Having followed the Brandywood community from the start, it's definitely a bittersweet moment coming to the end of this story.
I have grown to love all of the characters that we follow through the series and it was great to come back to this small town and enjoy Maddie Yardley's story.
We've obviously met Maddie in the previous books, so already had that connection and we hit the ground running with this one as we see Maddie heartbroken by her split with Josh. I felt so much for her at this point, but having finished the book, I'm so glad that this heartbreak left the gap that Brooks (our new leading man) came to fill.......and boy did he fill it so well!
Once again, I'm not really going to talk about the plot much at all, as you can all read the blurb...or better still, grab the book and give it a read. But, this story really took me on an even bigger emotional rollercoaster than the rest - maybe because I was reading at 3am or because I knew it was the final one....
I can't even put into words how utterly amazing this book was from start to finish - I read it in 2 sittings and could not put it down - I absolutely loved everything about it from our adorable main characters, the now familiar setting (of course), the twisted plot (that honestly had me convinced I knew how things would play out, only to have so much happen inbetween) and all the drama towards the end - it was just perfection. I cried happy and sad tears multiple times!
The writing style is just so beautiful and you can't help but be sucked right in. The descriptions of each of the settings and all the events completely envelope you and create such vivid images in your mind. The sights, sounds and smells - the tension, passion and excitement all so tangible throughout.
This definitely screams "last book of the series" as we see little cameos of each of the other characters' lives - a real send off to all those we love. I've loved every second! Brandywood will stay in my heart forever and I hope that there may be a return one day - but in the meantime, I'm looking forward to seeing what will come next from Annabelle....
I can't believe this will be the last book in the Brandywood small town romance series! I'm going to miss everyone and the town so much! All the families and the drama and the little snippets of seeing the past couples helping out around town. I'm sure it will come as a surprise to no one that I absolutely adored this one too. As always seems to happen with this series I end up staying up to an ungodly hour reading because I just don't want to stop (3:45am in this case). I completely fell in love with Maddie and Brooks. They went on such a journey together that all started with Brooks crashing his car into the Yardley store window. But seeing them go from that, to acquaintances, to friends and more was so sweet. They're from completely different worlds, Maddie having spent her whole life in Brandywood and Brooks being a literal rockstar currently living in LA, but they work together so well. It was an absolute rollercoaster of emotions though with so much going on: town drama, family drama, paparazzi everywhere. Brooks was so sweet but so hard on himself, you just want to give him a big hug. And Maddie is the perfect Yardley, an excellent listener, super lovely and fun. Of course we have all this with Annabelle's excellent writing style. She really knows how to make you fall in love, both with the characters and the town. Even those residents who you spend the whole book hating can be forgiven in the right circumstances. As sad as I am to be leaving Brandywood the series was ended perfectly because we get to revisit almost all the places and characters from the series throughout this one. It could still be read on its own if for some reason you wanted to but they're honestly all amazing so I'd really recommend grabbing them all and starting from the start. I promise you won't regret it. And Brandywood, I'll miss you!
At first this novel appears to be a typical Rock Star romance with a lot of the usual cliches:
the male MC Brooks is a typical „bad boy“ and has some big flaws, so it seems, and the broken hearted heroine Maddie acts exactly like the usual a bit naive small town girl does. And as the reader learns at a later time in this novel she unfortunately is a bit forgetful about something that causes harm for herself and Brooks and that could have been avoidable… But nobody is perfect, and in the end her forgetfulness turns out to be one of the reasons for the appearance of some suspense during the story.
The small town itself is inhabited by all (and there are a lot) the necessary characters to play their individual roles in this story, a cast containing of family, other sometimes quirky inhabitants as well as friends and enemies and a deer causing havoc, because this animal is jumping onto the street at exactly the wrong moment in time. There is also a not so well-behaving manager and later on also some paparazzi turn up.
So far, nothing really new, you might think. But during my ongoing reading progress the narrative picked up more and more speed and at the same time the main characters developed more personality and depth.
There are some very well written parts which show how past trauma can still influence the current behavior of people. Both MCs have to overcome the usual and also sometimes unusual obstacles.
I received a free ARC of this book and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
„Ever with me“ turned out to be a quite good read with all the feelings. The setting of the story is not always very realistic, but that’s something a lot of romance novel have in common, more or less.
Annabelle has the power to make me laugh, cry, get angry, and keep hoping for a happily ever after in each one of her books. As I’m reading, I’m always wondering if there’s going to be a HEA because it’s never obvious. This is the third book I’ve read in the Brandywood series, and I am sad that this is the last book. Annabelle not only brings in the family drama and romance with this one, but she added a bit of paparazzi, stalker situation which adds to the build up towards the end. What I loved most about the main characters, Madison and Brooks, is that they are both strong and independent. They love their families, and their passion for each other is like none other. They are intense and Madison is not afraid of love, but Brooks has not been in a serious relationship in a while. Brooks is misunderstood, but underneath the rock star persona, he is just a man who will do anything to protect the people he loves, even if that means he has to suffer. Madison is not afraid to be blunt about her feelings and loves with all her heart…and she knows how to handle Brooks when he starts to spiral. In fact, I found myself laughing and crying when she told him to “lay the f#@k down and go to bed.” This is small town at its best, with the gossip, and holding grudges, a fun cast of characters, and of course some bad people in the mix. If you are in the mood for a romance with family drama, heartache, and two people who just want to love each other no matter what, this is perfection. “But, she’d come into his life like an unexpected storm, breathing life into the darkness, a beat into his heart.”
Ever With Me A Brandywood Small Town Romance Book 5
I have loved every book that has brought me to the small town of Brandywood, where love abounds and family drama is entertaining, so pack your bags and open your heart to the wonderful story in Ever With Me.
Ever With Me is more than a romance. It is a love affair with a small town and all its quirky characters, family drama that threatens to destroy relationships, and a history of problems that refuse to stay where they belong. If you are ready to fall in love, I encourage you to read Brooks and Maddie's story.
Brooks Kent crashes into Maddie's life with all the drama that fame brings along for the ride. Will Maddie, with her heart eager to love, remain loyal to her family in her small town full of drama and skeptical neighbors while she tries to navigate around all her new feelings? Will new love survive the Yardley family and the threats that come with loving a famous rock star?
I loved the chemistry between Brooks and Maddie and how they persevered to navigate the obstacles in their way.
I have enjoyed my stay in Brandywood, and while I'm sad to leave, I am hopeful that at some point, there may be a return trip to Brandywood. Even if it's only through a re-read. Excellent book. Fabulous series. Amazing author.
Thank you to Annabelle McCormack for the gifted copy of Ever With Me. My opinions are my own.
Ever With Me is a heartfelt, slow-burn small-town romance that hits all the right emotional notes—grit, charm, angst, and heat. Brooks Kent, a music star with a tarnished reputation, crash-lands (literally) into Brandywood and Maddie Yardley’s world, setting the stage for a story full of banter, reluctant attraction, and the messy road to redemption.
Maddie is no damsel, and Brooks is no typical bad boy—both carry emotional baggage that makes their romance feel hard-won and authentic. Their chemistry is undeniable, and the steamy scenes are balanced with moments of vulnerability and hard truths about trauma, family, and forgiveness.
This fifth installment in the Brandywood series stands strong on its own, offering readers a satisfying blend of small-town coziness and emotional depth. If you love stories where flawed characters find healing in unexpected places—and in each other—this one’s for you.
This is the perfect read if you like second chances, forced proximity, and enemies-to-lovers with a twist.
I received a complimentary copy from BookSirens and am voluntarily leaving my review.
Brandywood is one of my favorite small towns. I am so sad that Ever With Me will be the last book in the series! (Hopefully Annabelle gets inspired to take us back there in the future!)
Brooks is a famous rock star who encounters a string of bad luck that might end up being the best luck he ever had. When he ends up crashing into a storefront he finds Maddie Yardley and they both find themselves looking to each other for help.
Brooks doesn't know how to be vulnerable or let anyone in for fear of being hurt but Maddie gets under his skin and he can't resist wanting to be near her all the time.
Soon, his luck runs out again and his fame brings attention and chaos to Brandywood and Brooks does what he thinks is best to protect the woman he loves. But she loves him back even harder and she shows him what it really means to have the back of the people you care about.
Maddie and Brooks both have to learn to be honest with themselves and the people in their lives instead of being what they think everyone else wants them to be. A truly lovely story of self discovery and heart.
Maddison needs to find a singing act for the fall festival. When Brooks, a well-known singer and songwriter, tried to avoid a deer and crashed into her store, she decides to blackmail him into singing. Brooks has enough trouble after just being released from jail for punching his sister's ex. Brooks is in the small town of Brandywood for a week's vacation with his friend. When Maddison comes over the next day to confirm he will sing, they seem to connect. Brooks is very protective of his sister, Kayla, and 4 year old niece, Audrey. The family atmosphere is great and the addition of Audrey brings out the best of Brooks. Once Brooks and Maddison get together Brooks fears for the lives of those he loves. Great romance, small town community, loving family, and a mystery where lives are endangered.
Maddie is stuck with a dilemma. She needs a new headlining act for the town festival. The night she finds out, rockstar Brooks Kent literally crashes into her family store, giving her a very bad idea.
I can't believe this is the last Brandywood novel!! This series has burrowed its way into my heart. Here's what I loved about this one:
Brandywood, of course: This town is filled with some of my favorite characters. This installment gave us glimpses into all of our past characters. It was so great to catch up with them. Beyond just that, this is the small town of your dreams. The downtown, the people, the festivals...it's all just amazing.
Maddie and Brooks: I adored these two. They do not get along at first so you know the snarky sparks are flying. They both have really good journeys they go on of self-discovery and independence. I loved them even more when they get together. So perfect together!
Al in all, this is a great small town rockstar romance!
Thank you Annabelle for the gifted copy and for letting me be a Brandywood resident for the last couple of years.
This was a great book to read during a tough week. It provided a welcome escape from life’s challenges and some heavier reading. In this fifth (and possibly final) book of the Brandywood series, rockstar Brooks Kent battles his reputation, career burnout, and his inner demons. He crashes into the world of Maddie Yardley and the fun begins! McCormack infuses this book with a beautiful sense of time and place and moments that make the reader laugh out loud and tear up.
It’s not necessary to have read the other books in the series, but for this book in particular I believe reading the others will add to the cameos of prior characters.

Small Town Romance with Heat, Great Characters and an Engaging Plot
This was a small town romance with more - not only was it small town girl meets rock star complete with intrusive paparazzi, but there was also the usual small town drama, wonderful quirky characters and a bit of suspense to keep the pages turning. I genuinely liked the majority of characters and found them relatable, enjoyed the heat between Maddie and Brooks and loved both of their relationships with their friends and family - especially Poppy and his niece. It is part of a series and there are cameos from characters in previous books but it is not necessary to read the previous books to enjoy this one.
I was sent an ARC by the author and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review.
A really good small town rockstar romance! This is the fifth book in a series, but as someone who hasn’t read the previous books, I had no problem following along with the plot/characters.
Maddie and Brooks were great characters and I enjoyed the angst and the suspense in the plot
I will admit I was thrown off on the way the third person POV was used. It was third person but with italicized internal thoughts in first person. It made it a bit confusing to read and I think it could have more easily been in the first person, especially where the chapters were already separated by characters

Music star Brooks Kent needs to pause and regroup, Brentwood is the chosen place, his arrival is chaos but within it he meets Maddie.
This is the fifth book in the Brandywood series, and I found wonderful books within it and others that don't reach that level. This one veers towards the last block.
I enjoyed Brooks and Maddie meet cute and how they navigate their relationship while the press, but the end of the story with all that scheme felt too overcomplicated.

This is the second book I've read in this series and fourth by this author and I really enjoyed returning to Brandywood and the Yardley family.
Brooks, a very successful musican, and Maddie have the best love-to-hate-you chemistry from the get go and there were so many sweet moments between them as well.
Unlike the past books I've read by this author, this one even had a bit of suspense near the end which was enjoyable and of course, lots of small town vibes with the perfect happily ever after!
I received a free ARC of this book, this is my unbiased opinion.
This is book 5 and the last in McCormack's Brandywood series and a wonderful addition/ conclusion to the series. A wonderful romance read that brings all the feels with amazing characters and a storyline that flows beautifully. I love how McCormack intertwined the rockstar and the small town so perfectly. Great romance and humor and everything in between. Captivating from start to finish!

Ever With Me is a strong finish to the Brandywood series from Annabelle McCormack! As always, I loved the characters - they had great chemistry! She even wrote such a slimey villain that I'm still angry about it! Check out the whole series. you won't be disappointed! I can't wait to read whatever McCormack releases next!

When Maddie is left in a lurch and needs to find a new singer for the festival her town puts on every year she has no clue where to turn.
Brooks is a music start that keeps getting himself into more and more scandals and he finds himself in Brandywood. While there he crosses paths with Maddie and he agrees to help with the festival after much convincing and maybe a little blackmail to rat him out to the tabloids.,
Ever With Me proves that McCormack’s talent for small-town romance—and for plucking your heart strings—has only grown deeper. Reading this thanks to BookSirens was such a treat: the chemistry is undeniable, the emotional stakes are high, and Brandywood’s charm shines through every page. The heroine’s journey felt powerful and layered, and the hero’s vulnerability made their connection feel real and soul-stirring. A gorgeous installment that made me fall even more in love with this series.
I will be perfectly honest that this is not my favourite of the series but I still really liked it! Maddie’s character really resonated with me although you won’t find me in a crop top anytime soon! Brooks was a really interesting character with a lot of history and flaws, but seeing his development over the course of the relatively short timeline of the book was rewarding.
I loved this book. Rockstar romances are my favorite genre. I found it slow and confusing in the very beginning but it sure picked up. I held my attention throughout. I was sorry when t ended. Read it you will not be disappointed. Thank you BookSirens for the advanced copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
What a sweet small town romance. I'll be honest this is the first book in this series that I have read, and now I plan to go back and read the rest. The story of Maddie and Brooks was a great escape, and exactly what I needed. I loved Pops.
This author is truly gifted. She never stops surprising me! This book was lovely and fresh and different, in the best of ways. Annabelle McCormack delivered all the feels and a completely satisfying ending.
4.25⭐️ I have loved all of the stories from the Brandywood Series. I’ve bounced around and haven’t read them in order, but they can easily be read as interconnected standalones. These books give me all the Hallmark small town vibes, with more drama and a bit of spice!
This one follows Brooks Kent, a music star from Nashville who happens to land in Brandywood for a quick hideaway with his buddy but has a run-in with Madison after accidentally crashing his car into her shop. There’s a bit of a grumpy/sunshine vibe. What starts off as a bit of blackmail to protect a celebrity, turns into a forced proximity situation that forces these two lonely hearts to work together.
I loved the romantic suspense elements introduced in this book. My favorite genre, I wasn’t expecting that twist in the story. I laughed and even cried a little tear here and there as Brooks and Madison had to face several internal and external obstacles.
Annabelle does a wonderful job at tugging on the heartstrings. She writes strong family bonds and friendships and captures the essence of small town living and the dynamics of large complicated overprotective meddling families.
I really hope there’s a Book 6. So many possibilities for couples!
