Remember when I said hunting down those two Accardi heirs would be a piece of cake?
Well… I found one of them, only to realize he’s a guy I hit and quit two years ago. What's even worse is the fact I still remember him. I never remember my flings, I’m the girl who scratches the itch and moves on.
Of all the itches, why did it have to be a clingy one? This maniac says we’re soul mates. Ha! Yeah, right.
Either way, he’s still an Accardi and I have a job I won’t fail to complete, and I already have plenty of distractions. Bear and I are now something… more. It works. Most of the time. Nothing that can’t be fixed with a good hand necklace. Oh right, I also kidnapped a vet who’s a vet and decided to keep him. Who doesn’t need a good puppy to have around?
So, clearly, I already have men who are way too much work. No seriously, I can’t go a damn hour with one of them asking about my feelings. Why the hell would I want a third man? Who, I might add, is a con artist. Irritatingly, I can't kill him yet. He just so happens to be the only one who can help me find the moles his evil step-mother snuck into the family business.
I really liked this second book, in fact more than the first one. This is quite an intense second installment as the FMC is at the epicentre of the chaos that surrounds her. Jam -packed with action, investigation and strategising, this story gripped me from the start. In addition, I love a good banter between siblings and Von's brothers just added that extra humour to the story.
I am glad to say that Von did show vulnerability and a big part of that was actually being able to see her at her home with her closest ones. In addition, she did open up to Bear, which did solidify the connection between them. Erik is nice and obviously quite fond of the FMC, so it appears that things are moving in the right direction. Appolo, I did love. Yes, a trickster he may be, but he certainly has a way with words and his obsession and devotion are rather admirable.
Showing a united front when faced with challenges is yet another element that did win me over. I wonder if some time would be given to Von and her father as they seem to have quite a few unresolved matters between them. Despite Von's irritation with the man, I have a feeling that he genuinely cares for his princess.
For some reason, I did not realise the series is unfinished😂, so now I feel a bit gobsmacked as I am really curious to see what shall happen next. Serena will be in for a rude awakening as there is nothing more dangerous than a Wolf on the hunt.
*Reverse Harem *Contemporary *Multi-PoV *Dark themes *Criminal Underground *Revenge Plot *FMC with Trauma *Alpha-males *Building Harem (3) *Fast Burn *2/? Answers, action and aggression 😬 Starting off dramatically, that continues throughout this second instalment of Von’s story! Von finds the man she’s been tracking however it appears he’s exactly where he wants to be. Apollo is very clearly obsessed with her and is willing to do what it takes to be by her side 😍😍…even if it means making her murderously angry 😅 at times I found it a bit tough to take how harsh Von was with him, but it’s kind of understandable with her issues and who he is. With her other men Bear and Erik seem to be forming a friendship and we find out more about Erik his backstory and what he means to her 😍 We get answers in this second book as to who is after our Mafia Princess and they certainly make a biiig mistake in how they plan on getting to her 😟 cue lots of action and bloodshed, whilst seeing a somewhat softer side to our FMC 😯 It’s another fast paced, active storyline and looking forward to the next book!
Come after her people and her family and be prepared to meet the Wolf.
Bear and Erik balance her, they love her for who she is, her wildness, independence and confidence are what draws them to her, especially her craziness, but they wouldn’t have her any other way.
Apollo is a different dynamic entirely. He’s been shadowing Von, he knows things about her that others don’t and that doesn’t sit right with her. Von has one task, take out the Accardi twins, but he somehow burrows under her skin, inserting himself into her life, he makes her question everything, yet Bear and Erik force her to confront things that she would otherwise not acknowledge. This scares Von, but she is beginning to understand why they’re doing what they’re doing, helping her to keep things real.
Von is the strongest person Bear knows. He knows the trauma she went through, Erik clues into this when she has her episodes, because he himself is dealing with his own trauma, that is why Bear hasn’t unalived him, because there trauma speaks to each other on different levels and Bear recognises that they balance each other out.
The one thing Von can’t stand is betrayal, loyalty within her family means everything, and when she eventually comes clean about the bounty in her head, and that her family is in danger, she returns home to her family, despite her complicated relationship with her father, she loves her brothers Matteo and Lazzaro, even if they’re protective over her, she definitely knows how to hold her own.
Now that those who have betrayed her family have been taken care of, her mother finally getting the proper care she needs to heal, Apollo plays his final trump card, but it begs the question - what will Serena do when she learns both Apollo jd his brother have come out of hiding and have sided with Von?
Here’s to anticipation those questions in book three, which can’t come fast enough I might add.
Von’s ride or die relationship with Queenie and Poison were on point, cheers to the girl squad.
This book definitely had some laugh out loud moments which made the story more engaging, more so I love how dominating and possessive Bear, Erik and Apollo were when it comes to Von, because it’s clear they can handle everything she throws at them and her vice-versa, the dynamic between them clearly works.
Oh and Von’s sexual exploits, oh my lord, she knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to take it, because when it comes to Bear, Erik and Apollo, in her own words, they know how to give her a good dicking. Those smexy scenes were downright steamy, deliciously hot, sinfully wicked, dirty, spicy and depraved. Because they all give as good as they get.
Oh my lanta how this book kept me on my toes and flippin pages. This is the 2nd book in the Gun Runner Princess series and I am so here for it. This picks up where book 1 had left off at, and boy did it take off.
I swear Von is a feral goddess when it comes to the one's she cares about, but when you mess with her family the "Wolf" comes out and all bets are off. It seems she's also picked up a stray, and it's not just any stray it happens to be Apollo one of the twins she was to be tracking down. He's a lil or maybe alot on the crazy side, but for his "treasure" he'll do anything for her, and Von doesn't know how to take him as he's a known con artist, and she doesn't know if he's telling lies or the truth, so can the real Apollo please stand up.
There was so many thing's going on you didn't know who you could trust. Now it seems Serena is coming after Von's family, and all it's done is pissed her off. I need that 3rd book to find out what's going to happen next.
ARC Review of Two For The Show by Elizabeth Knight🔪🔫💪🏻💸🐺🐻✈️💘📚
Nobody — and I mean nobody — writes wild, sharp, chaotic female leads like Elizabeth. Von completely owns this book from start to finish. She’s stubborn, clever, and just a little unhinged in the best possible way, and I loved every second of being inside her head. The action never lets up, the twists hit hard, and the characters are everything.
Apollo’s obsession with Von? Absolutely delicious. He is the perfect kind of unhinged, and you can tell he’ll burn the whole world down if it means standing by her side — even if it makes her furious. Bear and Von’s dynamic just keeps getting hotter, and when you toss Erik into the mix? Forget it. The chemistry, the banter, the tension — perfection.
This book had me hooked, laughing, swooning, and gasping from page one to the very last line. It’s explosive, messy, emotional, and full of heart. I cannot wait to see what kind of trouble Von stirs up next. Elizabeth never misses.💘
“If I never see my home, work, or family again I wouldn’t care. There’s something about being in your world, by your side, that tells me it’s where I belong.”
“You want to know what my type is? I’ll warn you, it’s rare. I’ve only found one woman in the world who lived up to my expectations. She’s as regal as a queen, fierce as a lion, and has undeniable sex appeal even if she doesn’t realize it. My type doesn’t need a man to protect her, because she’s deadly enough of her own. Some might say she’s a little feral, thrives off chaos, and tends to slightly over do it when someone pisses her off. Speaking of pissing her off, you’re lucky she’s on her best behavior tonight. If it had been any other night, you would be broken and bleeding on the floor.”
‼️Book out April 1st on Amazon, and I'm already so stoked for everyone to read it and love it as much as I did‼️
It's been a while since the first book in the Gun Runner Princess series, but the second book is finally here, and I couldn't have been more excited. Two For the Show was even crazier than I expected, and I loved it.
My girl Von is back. She's still as badass as ever, but she's developing a softer side. By no means is Von ever soft, and gods forbid she's willing to talk about feelings, but Von is self-aware enough to notice the changes. Including the fact that she's developing feelings for the surrounding guys. Including a very lovable con artist. Apollo was so unexpected. He's a criminal mastermind who has a dark side, but he also has a bright, dare I say bubbly side. He is like an excited stalker puppy when it comes to Von and crew. Yes, he's a little crazy, but in Von's world, who isn't? I adored Apollo, and I can't wait to meet his twin.
I live for the chaos, and that's exactly what this story was, pure chaos. Apollo is chaos personified; he knows exactly how to get underneath everyone's skin. His interactions with Von and the guys provided some unexpected humor. This book feels slightly darker than the first, with not only Von's history with her Master coming up, but Eric has his own dark past that came out. Now I understand how an ex-military guy fits in so well with them. There was loads of action, things got crazy for a minute, and I enjoyed meeting Von's twin brothers, they were great. I loved how loving and supportive they were of their little sister. They truly see Von as an equal in a world that doesn't respect women.
Two For The Show was amazeballs. My favorite part was the club scene and everything after. It was a great example of why Von is known as the Wolf. There were so many action scenes along with the plot that it felt as if I was watching a movie, but way better. The story didn't end on a cliffhanger, but that doesn't mean I'm not just as excited to get my hands on the next book.
Von is made of stronger stuff than me as I would have folded like a cheap deck of cards after any of Apollo's declarations. I love this character and how they all haven't fallen under his spell yet is beyond me! Although there are some darker moments relating to Von's and Erik's past, the humour from the situations with Apollo definitely balanced it out a little. From the shock collar, to finding him tied up at the end of the bed, to flirting with Erik, his "sweet naïve gingerbread man", Apollo just cracked me up but he can still match the others dark possessive energy. I'm interested to meet Poseidon and see how he compares!
Although Apollo is still in his probationary period, seeing Von and her guys as a unit was so good and I love how they can all actively communicate with Bear. I enjoyed seeing more of Von in action as she works with her family to take down their enemies and the sting towards the end of the book showed what a force to be reckoned with she is. Serena better be watching her back!
My interpretation of the star system; 3 stars - I enjoyed it; would read the author again 4 stars - I really liked it; I am invested and definitely want more from this author/series 5 stars - I loved it; I engaged with this book completely until I finished it and it is one I will re-read

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.
This is the second book in the Gunrunner Princess Series. You have to read the first book or you will be lost in this one. I can tell you from the last book that I wouldn't mess with Von. She is one scary girl. If you come after her family you're going to be in a heap of trouble. I don't want to tell you about the story or I will give something away. I do however have to say that I love Bear and Erik. I loved how they even her out and love her for the person that she is. They don't try to change a thing about her. Add Appollo and here is where I was all hmmm sometimes. Since he is with her a lot he knows things about her that now one would know. She does not like it one bit. Neither did I. He is the one that makes her question all there is about her that she could question. She and Bear are trauma bonded too in a way. They get each other when Von has one of her "spells" for lack of a better word. There is a trip back home and I have to say this entire book was just so interesting I couldn't lay it down. I think this is probably the most confusing to anyone reading it. I am trying hard to leave out spoilers. You read the book and you will know what I am talking about. It is a great read. Go get it and the first one if you haven't read it yet and you won't regret it.
Two For The Show is the second book in the Gun Runner Princess Series. It is a contemporary, why choose, mafia romance with a developing harem. This book is action packed, entertaining, dangerous, and steamy.
Von is a bada$$ arms dealer who only shows weakness to those she trusts. Her mask for the outside world is that of a ruthless, blood thirsty Wolf. In this book we get to meet Von's family and other people that are important to her, which is eye-opening as to who Von is and who she should be.
Apollo is the con-artist and Accardi heir that Von is tasked by her bestie Queenie, with eliminating. He also happens to be one of Von's prior one-night stands that she has had a hard time forgetting. Apollo is obsessed with Von and knows way too much about her. Von has already claimed Bear and Erik and Apollo will offer up everything to have her to claim him as well.
This was a terrific continuation of Von's story that I thoroughly enjoyed and couldn't put down. The writing, plot, pace, and flow are incredible as are the characters, character development, relationship development, storytelling, storyline, and world building. I am really loving Von's story and can't wait to see what happens next.
This series went way rushed. Also started it not knowing there was a 3rd book since it didn’t show a release date. Now I’m pissed.
Apollo- I’m on the fence with him. He reminds me of Hound with the obsession/stalker aspect but WAY more crazy and over the top. I get he had the hardest to try to convince Von but it feels forced…while Erik: Erik- love how he just went for it and fit right in. Love how Bear has a friend now. Didn’t give an F if it was too fast or whatever but was in. He helps her with the PTSD and demons. Big Red needs to be added to the pierced D club lol Oh Bear. Where can I find me one of him? That want is the whole package. Von is finally seeing him for who he is and finally gets that he loves HER. I also hated the twins. I was hoping from Queenies books that they were going to be better and I’d love them but now they were portrayed as spoiled, high/drunk play boys not Underbosses. It makes me hate their dad even more. A Boss would never let them make those kinds of mistakes and live. Also F him for what he did to their mom.
I so missed Von and her guys and I'm glad we got to see the next part in her story. Elizabeth Knight writes some pretty unforgettable characters and these ones are no different. Von is such a strong and dominant fmc, but I think the guys are breaking down her walls just a little bit. You see this even more with Apollo in this book. I feel like even though his background brought on some conflict, that he's going to be good for everyone all around. He's chaotic in such an amazing way and brings a lot of humor to the group. A lot of tension and fighting as well. The interactions between him, Bear, and Erik were hysterical and beyond entertaining. They may not be quite on board with him being around as of yet, but just like with Von, I think he’ll wear them down soon enough. His sincerity toward Von and his love for her will prove he's capable of being a team player. I do hope he continues to push buttons as the series continues though. That's my favorite part. Looking forward to Three to Get Ready so I can see how crazy things get for this group!
Firstly, I absolutely adore Elizabeth Knight, her writing style is phenomenal. Her strong kick butt FMCs, the action and smoking hot AF steamy scenes never disappoint. Love Von, so glad to finally get my hands on book 2. Her slightly unhinged methods, her stubbornness and her overall bad ass attitude is brilliant. Apollo the lovable criminal mastermind / con artist, who by chance was a past one night stand of Vons. Loved his dark side , I was completely mesmerised by him. I throughly enjoyed this book, the Action, danger, twists, crazy banter, chaos and humour were well written Although there wasn’t a cliff hanger ended I still was gutted when I got to the end, definitely can’t wait for book 3.
Two for the show is book 2 of The Gunrunner Proncess Series by Elizabeth Knight.
Book 2 picks up from where book one left us off giving us quite a bit of action through out the story. Von certainly knows how to be an amazing guy badd ass female charcter all through the book, she is a very stubborn woman which you see in the writing.
I love Appollo band possibles of Von he will do anything for von no matter what he just needs to be by her side.
This book certainly takes you on a ride tou won't regret getting on too. Loves this second book so much and all the characters that are involved with Von.
Wow! Von is just everything- crazy, smart and boot kicking awesome. I wasn't sure what to think of Apollo at first. He's smart, very smart, definitely cuckoo in many ways but a little smarmy sometimes. Or maybe it's because he kept saying he didn't like my boo Bear. But I'll be darned if I didn't like him better by the end of this book. Bear and Big Red are as amazing as always.
The action really kicked up towards the last part of this book and it was nail biting. The ending wasn't much of a cliffy thankfully but I'm looking forward to book 3. Especially since Polly is looking to add Passy to the group...
Von is back at it and as fierce as ever. We ended last book finding Apollo and now we see his addition into the harem. As one can imagine, Bear and Erik do NOT take this well, even Von is trying to figure out Apollo's motive and if she can trust him.
This entire book is a give and take between Apollo and the crew. I really loved the banter and snark from each character while they figure out their rankings and how each of the men fit with Von. Overall, I'm super excited to get into the next book and have Von get her ending.
Thank you to Elizabeth Knight for the advanced review copy. All thought and opinions are my own.
A great book 2! This book starts right where book 1 left off, and from then there is almost non-stop action. Von is definitely the queen of stubbornness, to the point where it’s almost detrimental to her health, but I can also see some growth happening. I also love Apollo. He’s definitely an addition to the group that I think was needed - Von might not fully recognize it yet though! With all the little hints and questions, I can’t wait until we meet his twin! I really enjoyed this book and am eager for more!
Von's back.... What a ride!! Right away I was hooked! The story moved quickly and easily kept my attention. It was filled with action, danger, twists, and a side of crazy. We also got some steam!
Elizabeth knows how to write a FMC and she never disappoints. Von is a badass!! She is strong, smart, and a little crazy. 😉 She does have a bit of a soft side, hidden in there though. So far, I'm loving the guys in her life and the newest addition in Apollo.
This was a great continuation and I can't wait for more!!!
This is the second book in this awesome series and continues straight on from where book one ended. Bad girl Von is back, and there is a new addition to the harem, and that is Apollo, criminal mastermind, and con artist, who fits in perfectly. This is a well written dark, raw, gritty, action packed story, with reverse harem, chaos, obsession, humor, witty banter, and soulmates, which leads to an entertaining, and unpredictable, dark romance. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
The 2nd book picks up where the 1st left off. It really focuses on the group growing together, while still being cautious towards Apollo and what they are up against. However, he did provide some levity, while trying to do everything he can to protect Von. I really like Apollo’s character (and the nicknames), but it will be interesting to see how the reintroduction goes in the next book. My favorite part was when the guys stood up to Von’s brothers for not learning sign after spending years with Bear. This cliffhanger was thankfully not as major as the last.
Jumping back into Von's world is super fun! She's still totally unhinged and possessive, super smart and ten steps ahead of everyone. Well most people. Bear and Erik are definitely claimed by Von now, but there is a new contender in the mix! Seeing these 3 men interact with Von and each other is so entertaining. I personally find a lot of what the men say, over the top and do hurry over those parts, but i definitely admire their outright devotion to their woman! This is a fast paced read, steamy and full of plot. I cannot wait to see what happens next!
In book two, Von and her men are on the hunt for The Lady. Von still has a bounty on her head and is trying to tie up all the loose ends dealing with that. Plus, she has to figure out if she can trust what Apollo tells her. I mean, it's only everyone she loves lives on the line, right? This mafia world is so addicting. You never know what's going to be said or what happens next. This had me laughing and had me on the edge of my seat. Von and her men are so unpredictable. The rest of the series isn't out yet and I cannot wait to see where this goes.
I have been have been so excited for Von's story to continue. It was worth the wait. When I say this book is all action with the cat claws out it's just that. Von finds the man she is searching for but also finds he is a bit obsessed with Von and will do about anything to be with her. This book had me laughing so hard. Honestly this series would make a great movie. I can’t wait for the next book after that cliffhanger.
I always struggle to write reviews about a middle-of-the-series book without offering too many spoilers lol. I enjoy Von and her growing harem. I really enjoy Bear and Erik and their studies of poly relationships.
Im looking forward to meeting Apollos brother and I hope we get some Serena closure. For being a 'not very clever' person the fact that she is still alive and scheming seems to suggest the opposite.
I loved this book! Von is one of my favorite characters to date. This book picks up right where book 1 left off and it throws you right into the action. She comes face to face with Apolllo one of the twins she is hunting down. After meeting him she gets major intel that she needs to move forward and keep those she loves safe. I have to say this book brought the action and the steam! I enjoyed reading g every minute of it and cannot wait to see what Elizabeth gives us next!
Yay for Von being back. Love her so much. I love a strong kickass FMC. Von and her two companions Bear and the vet she borrowed are still on the hunt for the Accardi heirs. One of them says they are soul mates. Will Von add him to her harem or will she use him and then loose him? Love the changing relationships between Von and Bear and the Vet. Love how Von’s character is evolving as well. Can’t wait to see where her story goes.
Von just brings out the crazy in all her men. And her new man, Apollo, just about tops the cake. Now this series is not done yet, so Ms. Knight could have some more unhinged men up her sleeve. I say bring it on. I was expecting some cliffhanger that was going to make me throw my kindle, however I will accept the one I was given.
Expect unhinged men and woman, off the walls spice, or and lots of gore. That is the way of the mafia/criminal life though.
When am I going to learn to wait until her series are competed ....
Read One for the Money in a day and had to wait. Two for the Show just came out and I'm in the same predicament. Her books are funny, sexy and full if twists. Didn't even know I was close to the end until I got to the ...s.
You'll never be sorry with her characters. A splice if real life and fantasy. I highly recommend.
Von is amazing ! She definitely fits the title of wolf. She is fiery and fierce with sass. She is my hero. She’s also great and playing the soft version of a female. This girl gets any job done and is awesome at getting information . There was so much action and steam . I did get teary eyed toward the end but also fired up with the ending . I can’t wait to see what happens next !
I waited so long for both books to come out. Because I’m an obsessive reader. Of course I made the mistake of thinking it was a duet. But these books have been so amazing. Von is so strong and seeing her soft moments are everything. Bear is such a loyal man who loves so hard and Erik fits in so seamlessly. I love that Apollo has been mostly accepted finally. And I’m so excited to meet Passy. This is a must read especially if you loved Astins series!
