I love Loreth Anne White current books. They are the best. Her older stuff, like this book, are not as good, but they aren't totally terrible either. I have problems with the excessive narrative, the angst level and the martyr syndrome of both the Hero and Heroine. The plot was good, execution needed some work.

Just before a storm hits the private island of Sheik David Rashid in the Red Sea his daughter comes and tells him that the storm has washed up an injured mermaid. What David finds is an unconscious, injured beauty who has no memory of how or why she is on David's island. As she tries to recover her memory, she also is instrumental is helping David and his daughter heal from a tragedy in their past.

As pieces of her memory resurface, Jayde Ashton, an MI-6 Agent, realizes that her mission is David and she has a real conflict because she is rapidly falling in love with him and he could very well be a terrorist. If true, Jayde is in danger. If not, they all are.

I really enjoyed this book. It had mystery, little bit suspense and romance.
