ಇಂದಲ್ಲ ನಾಳೆ ಫಲ ಕೊಡುವುದು. ಇದು ಈ ಕೃತಿಯ ಒಟ್ಟು ಆಶಯ.

2012 ರಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಪಾದಿಸಿದ ಕೃತಿ... ಆಗಿನ ಕಾಲಕ್ಕೆ ಲೇಖಕರಿಗೆ ಇದ್ದ ದೂರದ ಆಲೋಚನೆ ಮೆಚ್ಚಬೇಕಾದ್ದೆ...

ಆಗಿನ ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿಗೂ ಈಗಿನ ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿಗೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಅಂತರ ಓದುಗನಿಗೆ ಕಾಣುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ನಮ್ಮ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವ ಆಂತರಿಕ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳ ವಿಶ್ಲೇಷಣೆಯನ್ನು ಲೇಖಕರು ಇಲ್ಲಿ ವಿವರಿಸಿ ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಇರುವ ಪರ್ಯಾಯ ಪರಿಹಾರಗಳನ್ನು ಮಂಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ...ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಲೇಖಕರು ಹೇಳಿರುವ ಪರಿಹಾರಗಳು ನಮ್ಮ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಒಂದು ಮಾದರಿ ದೇಶವನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಬಹುದು ಖರೇ... ಆದರೆ ಸುಲಭವಲ್ಲ, ಮನುಜನ ಮನಸ್ಥಿತಿಗಳನ್ನು ತಿದ್ದುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಒಂದು ಯುಗದ ಸಮಯ ಬೇಕು...

ಓದಿ ಮರೆತುಬಿಡುವ ಲೇಖನಗಳಲ್ಲ ಇವು.... ಮಹಾದೇವರಿಗೆ ಕಾಡುವಷ್ಟು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕಾಡುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವಷ್ಟು ತೀಕ್ಷ್ಣ ಬರವಣಿಗೆ....

ಆದರೆ ಎಲ್ಲ ಕಥೆಗಳಿಗೂ ಮತ್ತು ಘಟನೆಗಳಿಗೂ ಎರಡು ಬದಿಗಳಿರುತ್ತವೆ... ಲೇಖಕರು ಒಂದೇ ಕೋನದಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದು ಹೇಳಿರುವ ಘಟನೆಗಳು ಕೊಂಚ ಕಸಿವಿಸಿ ಮಾಡಬಹುದು.

ಏನೇ ಇದ್ದರೂ, ಇವನ್ನು ಓದಿ ಒಂದು ಮನಸ್ಸು ಮಾನವೀಯತೆ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಮರಳಿ ಅಲ್ಪಮಾನವನಿಂದ ವಿಶ್ವಮಾನವನಾದರೆ... ಮಹಾದೇವರ ಶ್ರಮ ಖಂಡಿತ ಸಾರ್ಥಕ... ಸಾರ್ಥಕ.... ಸಾರ್ಥಕ...

There are few books that is written purely on a propaganda basis. This book by Devanura Mahadeva is no exception either. Filled mostly with the prejudiced thoughts and mocking certain section of the people is the sole theme of this book. The book is a collection of articles by the author that he has written over the years for few newspapers and magazines. Also, certain articles are his speeches that he delivered when he was heading certain processions and groups. Being the member and the head of the Dalit Sangarsha Samiti in Karnataka, the author has left no stone unturned when he wanted to mock Hindus and definitely encouraging the conversions. The author has deliberately forgot the fact that the world has moved beyond Dalits and social injustice. These kind of books will certainly enlighten few at the same time flare up people in projecting certain section of the classes in a bad light. I am definitely not a champion in recommending such books from any author, be it an upper caste Hindu or a Dalit. Definitely an eye opener to understand what kind of propaganda authors exists among us.

Genuine yet thought-provoking, Devanuru Mahadeva’s style stands different in his peers. Chapters in this book such as ‘nanna devaru (ನನ್ನ ದೇವರು)’ , ‘Nalai namadai (ನಾಳೈ ನಮದೈ)’ are example for his intriguing, thought provoking writings. He’s definiteely a pigeon in the world of Kannada birds.

ಒಂದಷ್ಟು ಜನ ಇದನ್ನ ಮಿಸ್ ಮಾಡ್ಲೇ ಬಾರದ ಪುಸ್ತಕ ಅಂದ್ರು, ಮತ್ತೊಂದಷ್ಟು ಇದನ್ನ ಓದಿದ್ರೆ ನೂರು ಪುಸ್ತಕಕ್ಕೆ ಸಮ ಅಂದ್ರು. ಕನ್ನಡದ ದಿ ಬೆಸ್ಟ್ ಪುಸ್ತಕ ಅಂದ್ರು. ನಾನೂ ಓದಿದೆ. ನನಗೆ ಇದನ್ನ ಓದೋದು ಕಾಮನ್ ಸೆನ್ಸ್ ಅನಿಸ್ತು. ಯಾಕೋ ಕಾಮನ್ ಸೆನ್ಸ್ ಅಂತೀಯ ಅಂತ ನನ್ನ ಕೇಳಿದ್ರೆ ನೀವು, ನಾನು ಒಬ್ಬೊಬ್ಬರದು ಒಂದೊಂದು ತರಹದ ಅನುಭವ ಆದ್ರೆ ಮಹಾದೇವ ಅವರದ್ದು ಉಗ್ರ ಟೈಪಿನ ಹೋರಾಟ ಅದ್ಕೆ ಅಂತೀನಿ.
ಮಹಾದೇವ ಅವರ ಅನುಭವ, ದೇಶದ ಆಂತರಿಕೆ ಕೊಳಕು, ದೂರಾಲೋಚನೆಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಹಂಚಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅವರ ಅನುಭವಗಳನ್ನ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಕ್ಕೆ ಇದೊಂದು ತರಹ ಒಂದೇ ಕಡೆಯ ಕತೆ ಕೇಳಿದಂಗೆ ಅನಿಸಬಹುದು ನಿಮಗೆ. ಅದೇ ಕ್ಲಾಸಿಕ್ ಮಹಾದೇವ ಅವರ ಮೋಡಿ ಮಾಡೋ ಬರವಣಿಗೆ, ತೀರಾ ಸಿಂಪಲ್ ಆದ್ರೂ ಬ್ಯೂಟಿಪುಲ್ ಅಂತಾರಲ್ಲ ಹಾಗೆ.

ಇದು ನನ್ನ ಮೊದಲ ದೇ.ಮಹಾದೆವರ ಪುಸ್ತಕದ ಓದು. ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಬರುವ ಬಿಡಿ ಲೇಖನಗಳು ಜಾತಿ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಠೆಯಿಂದ ನೊಂದ ಜನಗಳ, ಮನಗಳ ವಸ್ತು ಸ್ಠಿತಿಯನ್ನು ಇಡಿಯಾಗಿ ರೂಪಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.

ಕಳೆದ ೫ ದಶಕದ ದಲಿತ , ಜಾತಿ ಸಂಘರ್ಷ , ಮೀಸಲಾತಿ ಬಗೆಗಿನ ವಿದ್ಯಮಾನಗಳ ಕುರಿತಾದ ಬರವಣಿಗೆಗಳು , ಅನುಭವಗಳ ಬರಹ ಸಂಗ್ರಹ ಇದು . ಸರಳ ಭಾಷೆಯಲ್ಲಿದೆ . ಕೆಲವು ಪ್ರಮುಖ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳ ಚಿತ್ರಣ ಸಿಗುತ್ತದೆ .
