After dealing with a nuclear threat, Missy has earned the new Defense Secretary’s trust. Her life at West Point goes along well enough while she finishes up her third year. She does need to help some plebe girls who are getting harassed. Plus, she learns one of the congressmen with access to secret Intel is a spy.
The big question, however, is where will her summer assignment with the Special Forces take her, now that the U.S. troops are being withdrawn from Afghanistan?
With the nation deeply divided and its priorities less and less clear, Missy continues towards fulfilling her destiny as a woman-warrior-werecat-witch.
P. G. Allison has always loved stories about female characters with special powers (Supergirl, Wonder Woman, Bionic Woman, Batgirl) along with stories about witches and werewolves. The Missy the Werecat Series is about a girl growing up with no pack, no pride of other werecats and no Alpha; Missy is a girl with fantastic abilities doing great things in today's world, amongst humans. Other books in this paranormal, new adult, urban fantasy series have Missy going on to West Point and eventually serving in the Special Forces.
I understand that recapping earlier adventures and details is important for new or newer readers. But, it almost made me skip some important sections. Thank goodness I didn't do that. From the previews, was wondering how the U.S. Army and Staff Sergeant Missy McCrea would handle the Afghanistan withdrawal, AND I'M STILL WONDERING!!! I can't wait for the next installment, including the Russian invasion of the Ukraine, Missy's graduation from West Point, her wedding to Mike, her designation as Team Twenty-Two's new second in command (replacing deceased CW2 Thomas Morley), and her and her team to assist the IDF after October 7th. I am hoping the next(4th) volume of Tracy the Fire Witch is coming very soon!! PLEASE!!! Excellent jonb!!!
I love all these books and Missy warecat book 12 just downloaded yesterday ( 29/04/24) and havent put it down finshed it today and can not wait for book 13 to come out so please please dont keep us waiting too long for that. these books are a great read with Characters that your love, Throughout all of these books I have cryed & laughted with these characters & felt their pain too , I look forward to reading what Missy & friends get up to next. The way P.G.Allison wrights these storys it makes you fill your on this Journey with them, I Recommend you read them they are a Must Read set of books. Until the next adveture!
ten stars needed. Fantastic story! love Missy and her comrades in arms.
Missy is now in third year at West Point. Still doing what ever special ops wants her to do on the side. She receives two metals this time earned the hard way. Her love of Mike and family remains strong. Its up to you to stick your nose in this book but don’t expect to set it aside. You won’t be able to do that.
Straight from the pages of the news, this adventure hits close to the current political landscape in the United States. It becomes clearer as I read these latest books on the series that teens and tweens are the target audience. There is more emphasis on violence than sex. There is lots of sexual activity suggested but no details. The series reads like an ad for the US Army.
I have read this series 6 times since book 1 came out. Missy, Tracy and friends make a very enjoyable read. Looking forward to the next Missy book. As well as the next Tracy book. Thank you P. G. Allison for your skill in writing a story that has so many characters and the development that goes into the storyline.
I have always enjoyed reading about strong female characters in the stories that I read An Missy is right up there on my list as Dame Honor Harrington and others. I'm looking forward to the next installment in the Missy timeline and am hoping for another epic story soon about her or her sister witch soon. Keep them coming!
I am also glad to see that Missy continues to grow and develop as she continues her years at West Point and her summers with the Special Forces unit. It would be easy for her to be entirely one dimensional. If that were to happen, I really don't see 12+ books. Enjoy!
This was probably the best Missy book yet. She always has great action and characters. I keep thinking that she will reach a level of her powers but she just keeps getting better and stronger. I would recommend this story to any adult readers that enjoy great action and adventure in their stories.
I have thoroughly enjoyed this whole series, and have loved the characters, old and new. Missy has grown, learned and developed strong bonds in both her personal and military life. With just one year until graduation, I can’t wait for the next season in her journey. Go West Point !!
It's Missy's third year at West Point and a lot happens. Life at the Academy is busy with sports, classes, extra Russian study and even some in house disciplinary action needed. Interspersed are all of her jobs for the government and her pack. There are a lot of social activities as well.
I love every book in this series. They’re well written and although I may not agree with every action by all characters, Mel’s love life specifically, there’s no in your face preachiness like in some books and an author has to have creative freedom to make an entertaining story. I love Missy’s character and like how Mike is supporting her but not emasculated.
The entire series has been great. This book is no different. Since I read the previous book more than six months ago reading this volume was like putting on a comfortable old pair of shoes. Based upon this book, we haven’t seen the last of Missy. Yea!!!
I love the scenes where Missy uses her powers. I wish there was even more times she could show off her abilities. I want her to always win as the champion should never lose.
Just like the book before this one I give this 3 stars. Where I enjoyed Missy, I don’t understand why they focused on her roommate. This has never happened before except for Tracy. I was bored and skipped over anything concerning her roommate.
Really, what I mean is that P. G. Allison did it again. I enjoy Missy's adventures very much. I feel like I am there during everyone. The amazing things she does are so intriguing and inventive. Write On P.G..
Missy and her West Point friends and classmates are in their Cow year. Missy is still doing missions and running with her pack. She is working with a new administration. Iran is making a big mistake but you will have to read to see what I am talking about.
I will recommend this series to everyone . The main character is interesting and exciting The storyline is fascinating and interesting it holds your interest and your attention is fast paced never boring
Excellent story (again) in the continuing saga of Missy the Werecat. My only negative was the limited action sequences. Would rather have read more action sequences than lengthy lunar activities were nothing really happens.
I love reading about a young lady growing up into her own. This series has her learning and growing into her powers and abilities. Along with school and sports. A proud woman in the military.
Missy continues to evolve as well as the growing supporting cast of characters. Interesting growth of the supernatural universe the author has created.
I love everything about this book. The story line is great! I have recommended this collection to many people. I can't wait for the next book to come out!
After well over a hundred pages I was really beginning to wonder whether anything significant was ever going to happen in this book. By halfway it was making the most rubbish day-time soap opera look exciting.
The second half of the book starts with Missy back in Afghanistan, my problem with this, is I found it hard to divorce this story from the reality of the appalling American ‘cock up’ and betrayal in Afghanistan. However I was interested in how the author would manage this problem in the story, basically they don’t.
I’m afraid these books have probably run their course for me, I found I skipped through much of this book and I probably won’t be returning to the series.
