Rate this book
In the treacherous expanse of The Lost Continent, a land shrouded in mystery and rife with forgotten marvels, a cataclysmic event known as the Great Rift has left indelible scars. Now, beset by relentless trials, this fractured realm must confront the merciless onslaught of nature's wrath and the encroaching Breolum Empire, an insidious force seeking to seize the remnants of its shattered glory. Caught between the desperate struggle for survival and the looming threat of subjugation, the people of this realm teeter on the precipice of their existence.

After experiencing the betrayal of those closest to her, the protagonist drops in to deep darkness on her quest for revenge.

What will happen when she meets a man so cruel, that she knows will be her downfall. They symbolize the oppressed and the oppressor, the embodiment of good and evil, a juxtaposition of fire and water. The two organizations that had been fighting against each other for years. If their objectives are aligned, could they possibly work together? As alliances shift and loyalties are tested, the protagonist discovers unexpected allies and unearths hidden truths that challenges her perception of the world. The story unfolds, tensions rise, as her homeland is once more the epicenter of a great conflict.

As the quest for revenge consumes her thoughts, the protagonist stands at a crossroads. Will she forsake her burning desire for retribution and justice, or will she succumb to the depths of her anger and sacrifice everything she holds dear?

Finished yesterday. I highly encourage everyone to read this book fully. The ending is amazing, following the main character from childhood up to this point was so entertaining and watching her snap and finally getting her revenge felt so satisfying. Also the male lead Ketteringham is so dreamy I loved all their interactions and banter and all of that. It actually felt like an enemies to lovers book!

I won’t lie this did take me a while to get into, I felt it was quite slow at first and bombing with world building and characters, but after the first 100 pages, I started to really get into it and I really enjoyed myself. The world its self is amazing and I loved the in depth the author went into about the classes. Also the romance between the FMC and the MMC was great (even tho he took ages to show up properly, I was waiting on the edge of my seat), the tension and development was so good.

I just finishe the book it gave me major Game of Thrones vibes! It's got all these kingdoms and empires, and the characters are so diverse. I loved the detailed descriptions! I wish it focused more on the romance aspect of the story I feel like it took too long for the main lead to be introduced but overall I loved it!

Took me a while to get into it cause there is a lot of characters, names, places etc. But I'm glad I stayed because this book was incredible! Definitely my favorite read of 2024.

If you like strong female leads you must read it. There is nsfw content so be warned its not YA but its also skippable(not essential to the story.

Towering in stature, his dark, piercing eyebrows......
Dilapidated structures, their weary frames, clung desperately to....
Such was the heart-wrenching reality...
The Academy stands defiant, propelling the initiates forward....

Every. Single. Sentence.

I gave up and found a proper book to read.

The first 8 chapters are a textbook on this world, extremely boring and hard to read with over the top adjectives. For every line of dialogue and things actually happening, there are 5 droning paragraphs of pointless information. This is the worst written book I've ever half read.
