I am experienced, this improved me

I have been comfortable in the kitchen for over 30 years. So when a cookbook gives me some new ideas and introduces me to meta-recipes (will explain), I pay attention.

Most cookbooks tell you how to make a recipe, maybe even give you ideas of changes or variations. This one teaches you how to CREATE soups. It offers recipes but, as it does so, it gives techniques that allow you to make all manner of variations and create your own.

Lots of recipes

This book has lots of recipes. It starts off showing you how to make a cream base for your soups. Then there are many different cream should like celery, mushroom, etc. There are also various chili recipes, and chicken soup recipes. Many are simple enough for even the least of cooks to be able to manage. I look forward to trying some of these recipes out.

Nice collection of soups, most of which are fairly easy to make and sound delicious.

Very good easy recipes and most of all, ideas, of what to make when the weather gets cool again. We even like soups in the summer as they can be make ahead for busy days.

Found a few good recipes for our family, and I am sure everyone will find a few for their family as well.

Most importantly, these recipes don't call for unusual ingredients, at least in my humble opinion, and in many cases, you may have all the ingredients on hand to whip one big pot of soup up without even having to go to the grocery store.
