In 30,000 B.C., magicians are gathering in the ancient city of Soonchen to unite their powers. For they have all glimpsed a terrifying threat in the future—beings from beyond the sky are planning to destroy the earth.
But, just as the council is to begin, someone puts a Compulsion Spell on twelve-year-old Lithim—a strong enchantment that will make him kill his father unless it is lifted. Then, torrential rains pour down on Soonchen, preventing the meeting, and Soonchen's chieftain falls ill. Is there a powerful traitor among the mages? And how can Lithim, the Dragon Gra-kwo, and Alglinnadorn, a mage of the Alfar race, vanquish such a formidable enemy and help prevent the Earthdoom?
This gripping tale will delight readers who enjoyed The Magical Fellowship—the first book in the Age of Magic trilogy—as well as those meeting Lithim and his companions here in this sequel.
