Pennsylvania. She is the only child of Susan L. Green and Randall C. Carter, and the product of a single-parent home. She is best known for her young adult novels, "Fast Life"(July 2007) and "16 Isn't Always Sweet" (March 2008).
From the time she was a young girl, Cassandra exhibited a passion for writing. Her talent was first noticed in the elaborate illustrated stories she wrote for her mother, but was also praised in school by both her teachers and her peers. At the age of 9, Cassander and her mother moved to Ann Arbor, MI where she continued to learn different ways to express herself on paper. While studying various writing styles over the years, she's preserved an engaging, original voice that the generation of today can relate to.
Cassandra was 14 when she created the concept for "Fast Life". Inspired by a dream, she completed the fictional work the following summer when she was only 15 years old. With the encouragement of her family and help from a literary agent, she signed a contract with Kimani Tru, an imprint of Harlequin Inc. two years later. An honors graduate from Huron High School with a 3.5 GPA, Cassandra received her diploma just one month before welcoming the release of her first published title.
Ms. Carter currently resides in Ypsilanti, MI where she's been busy promoting both books. She is also currently hard at work on her third novel.

Strong feelings…
Kyra Jones and Justin Hartwell have a history that is unforgettable. Once a young couple, their love was fast and furious and Kyra and Justin couldn’t get enough of each other. But as fate would have it, their relationship ended explosively, sending each their separate ways to go on without each other. Forward five years and Kyra has settled down and is now dating Cincere. Having moved in with Cincere, her life has become humdrum and she doesn’t feel any passion for him because deep down she is still harboring feelings for Justin.
After running into Justin by chance, the feelings for her ex reaches a boiling point...that is until she finds out he's about to get married!! They try to convince themselves that they can be friends, but emotions and sexual tensions are bubbling on the surface. Can they keep their feelings in check and continue on as friends? Or will the pain and betrayal of the past put them at odds?
I first met this couple back in 2007 when an eighteen year old author, Casandra Carter made her literary debut with her first book, “Fast Life.” Having enjoyed the first story, I was intrigued when I found out a sequel had been written and even more so to see how this young author had developed her writing skill. I’m happy to say I wasn’t disappointed and enjoyed “Love, Lies & Consequences” which showcased the turmoil one can go through in the name of love.
A couple of things I noticed…
A read through by a good proof reader will take care of errors spotted. Also, I know that writing a sequel can be challenging at times, so incorporating a few key points from the initial story will help jog the reader’s memory while giving first time readers a snap shot of the character’s history. This is a win-win for an author as it will leave readers satisfied or even better, score a slew of future readers.
A recommended read and double your reading pleasure by picking up both books! I wish this author all the best in her literary career.

In the sequel Love, Lies & Consequences by Cassandra Carters readers are reunited with characters Justin and Kyra from Fast Life and years have passed. Readers would believe the two have moved on in their respectable lives and have put the past away but love brings them back together. Will lies tear them apart? Can Justin walk away from Kyra for once and for all and start a new life with his soon to be wife?

Love, Lies & Consequences does not disappoint and definitely kept my attention throughout because I am a fan of romance I was hoping for that happily ever after but when emotions are involved something so beautiful can be actually be bad for you and if you take risks you have to be realistic to know that all is not fair in love and war. This story was a great follow-up.
Overall, I enjoyed the story line and look forward to reading more from Ms. Carter.

I took my time reading this book. It was interesting to see how the characters have grown as adults.
I did want more from the book I can’t lie, Kara was still very much in love with Justin.
It was interesting to see how far Justin and Kara will go for each other to prove to people they really love each other.
No spoilers guys promise !
It was just a little what I was expecting plus more ! I gave this book 4 stars because I wanted Kara’s character to grow up a little bit more but hey that’s our Chi girl !

Is this a sequel? I feel like I've been dropped in to the middle of an on-going story and I have no idea what's going on. Characters and past events are mentioned in a way that leads me to believe I should already know who they are or what that event signifies. Perhaps the author explains more as the book progresses, but it's very confusing.
