Wild Sparks #1

Chasing the Wild Sparks

Rate this book
Throwing down the gauntlet has never been so wild. Just ask Hadley Beckett.

Marriage. Even the mention of the word drives my nuptial-phobic, love-of-my-life boyfriend of three years, Finn Wilder, who is also Richmond’s sexy, golden boy sportscaster and daredevil, to the brink of total madness. Even though the daredevil thrives on adrenaline and danger and eagerly professes his love for me, becoming my husband is a dare he always eludes. What’s more, Finn Wilder is single, according to his coworkers and viewers—Finnatics—as they’re called. I don’t exist.

Despite his marriage fears and questionable relationship status, Finn increasingly pressures me to move in with him, but being unusually traditional by today’s standards, I want to be married first, adhering to my moral beliefs, just as he desperately clings to his own religious upbringing regarding starting a family with me. Something he wants no part of either.

As much as I love Finn, I’ve reached my limit with the lies, secrets, and his reluctance. Something has got to give. We’re forever at a standstill, a faceoff which one of us will lose. Everything.

I LOVED IT!

I have been itching to read this book and I finally got the chance to do so. I was so sad when my ereader said 90% because I knew it was coming to an end.

The story is about Finn Wilder and Hadley Beckett. (If I had to guess based on these names I'd say the author is part Irish or obsessed lol). :) They are at a cross roads in their relationship. One wanting marriage and kids, and the other wanting only to move in and not get married. Finn has a fear of marriage that stems from his beliefs based on going through the fall out of both his parents' marriage relationships gone awry. The journey that these two go through is heartbreaking, funny, sad, happy, and annoying at times because you want to just solve it for them. You would think that one was willing to give, but the reasoning behind both their arguments are understandable. They love each other so much, but always make a mess when trying to really show it and express it. It doesn't help matters much that Finn is a sports caster that has a parade of fans called the 'Finnatics'. Hadley like any warm blooded female becomes self conscious and less confident, but Finn only has eyes for her.

The characters of this book are side pinching, spit spewing, laugh out loud hilarious! The friendship or rather frenemies relationship between them is so REAL. We all have people in our lives that give it to you straight and they also love you enough to insult you to your face. Love Morgan and Gregory for that. Their loyalty to Hadley jumps at you as well as their perspective on Hadley and Finn's relationship. They are her ultimate supporters and the best best friends a girl could ask for.

I'm gonna take a page from this book and say my own slogan about how I felt about this book: GOOD TO THE LAST DROP. Yes Maxwell House said it best. I laughed so hard I had tears rolling down my face. In other parts of the book I felt heaviness in my chest because I was so caught up in the story. And finally I shed tears for the situation that Hadley and Finn put each other through. I understand where they both are coming from because as a girl I had always dreamed of the happily ever after, but witnessing a lot of divorces I became a cynic like Finn. This is a great romance story told in a very real and funny enjoyable way. :) I highly recommend it.

I got this eARC in exhange for a honest review from Netgalley
I didn`t really like it sadly, i enjoyed the few first chapters. I didn`t enjoy that it felt like Finn aka Finnigan strung Hadley along when he knew what she felt, but also why was she staying with him? Bah. The ending was rushed and felt sort of forced? I know that 3 more books in the series. But i didn`t like the characters, Hadley came along as whiney, complaining not-doing to much, Her friends was over the top animal-calling Finn all the time and honestly not helping to be honest and Finn i just couldn`t wrap my head around his character, why couldn`t he actually talk about things? why couldn`t he be honest? Sometimes it felt like all was about sex with him. Bah.

Chasing the Wild Sparks
“Chasing the Wild Sparks” follows the relationship ups and downs of Hadley Beckett, “Becks” and Finn Wilder.
Hadley Beckett is a 33 year old woman who is in a relationship with her longtime boyfriend Finn Wilder. She is ready to settle down, she wants to get married and have children. The problem is that Finn, star sports caster and resident dare devil, is completely against both. Hadley has always been okay with where their relationship stands, but lately she is feeling her biological clock ticking and with the secretive nature of their relationship, she wants more of a commitment--- Marriage. Finn tells Hadley he is ready for the next step, moving in together, but doesn’t think he ever wants to be married. The problem is, Hadley doesn’t’ want to just be his live-in girlfriend forever.
Hadley’s friends Greg (Rod) and Morgan keep telling Hadley she needs to talk with Finn about what she wants, give him an ultimatum. Hadley is skeptical until Morgan tells all of them her relationship news. Hadley is shocked by Finn’s reaction to the news and needing time to process this, she runs to be alone. Finn catches up to her and while they are having a heated conversation about their future, a co-worker and his wife happen upon them. When Finn chokes and can’t introduce her as his girlfriend, Hadley realizes she has had enough of Finn’s procrastination. Will Finn ever be ready for marriage and children?
This story is in both Hadley and Finn’s perspective, and gives you insight to what each other is really thinking. Greg and Morgan add a flare to the story with their colorful, funny banter and their true friendship to Hadley. I loved every word of this story and can’t wait to read the second book in the series “Daring the Wild Sparks” to see what happens with my new favorite couple, Hadley& Finn and their amazingly witty friends!

Clearly Sex sales and most book covers these days have that gorgeous bad boy or tattoo hottie with his arms wrapped around a sexy little vixen. I've passed this book up because of this and shame on me, there's something quite beautiful in its simplicity.

Finn Wilder is the town celebrity, local sports anchor and extreme sport junkie who is absolutely in love with Hadley Beckett, a.k.a. Becks. Becks is an absolute sweetheart, struggling paralegal, the best of best friends and totally in love with Finn. Becks wants the American Dream, white picket fence and all. First comes Love, then comes Marriage, then comes Baby etc. However there is a problem, Finn has a commitment phobia, he lets past relationships with his family and friends that end in divorce, cloud his judgement for his own romance. I struggled with the temptation of both leaving hicceys all over his neck and slapping the crap out of him.

How refreshing to read a novel revolving around a thirty-something year old couple and their relationship instead of the same old tired 19 or 20 year old college, on again off again, sex filled romp. The characters are well developed, easy to read and fall in love with. This story just flows, and love the dual POV. Rod is my hero, loved his witty banter and hilarious commentary not to mention his sexy dance moves and brilliant Hello Kitty kite. LMAO!

Can't wait for the next installment, thank you Ren Alexander.

I was immediately drawn into the love story of Becks and Finn from page one! Their romance was not without love and intimacy, but it's the written legality of commitment that stalls their relationship. So, can't wait to see what happens in the next installment of this series with this couple!

My Review:
5 Spicy Stars!

When I received this book - I was informed it was her debut novel, and I warily had that fact in the back of mind as I started to read. I must say - I don't know where this woman has been hiding but she is no novice to story telling. Ren Alexander has an innate gift for humor and entertainment. Her writing is clever and snarky on several levels at the same time, yet can also be touchingly sensitive and emotional as well. She has well-crafted and comical characters that can also be serious and insightful. She also has a main character that I thought to be somewhat uptight and stuffy – alternately prove to be funny and clever. She tricked me into thinking I knew what was happening, then flipped the point of view to force me into liking characters I didn't expect to admire. Ms. Alexander is a sly one as I am more than a bit cynical and not easily fooled. Switching the POV was expertly used to convince us of the depth of feeling and tenderness one of the characters has for the other but has not voiced or fully displayed. And I can cheerfully inform you that she can definitely bring the spice, as her bedroom scenes absolutely sizzle.

I typically despise cliffhangers and feel series are contrived to force us into buying more books. Well damn it – it worked - as I care about these people and want to know what happens to them. I also wish I knew each and every one of them as they are certainly a lot more fun than anyone I know. I am hooked, trapped, ensnared... and absolutely must read the rest of this story. I suddenly feel so mainstream - and like a complete lemming… I fear I will be impatiently stalking Amazon until I have consumed them all. So I conclude with a compliment and request/demand to Ms. Alexander - well done, you got 5 stars from a reviewer that rarely gives them out… now get busy and give me more of the same!

I <3 Finnigan Wilder!!
When reading a romance there are certain things that really make the story for me. I love the meet cute, and then the slow burn of two characters moving from friendship to falling in love. From sexual tension to usually some sort of twist that causes a rift between the couple, inevitably leading to the making up and the HEA.
This book has none of that.
It's SO refreshing and real. A beacon of truth in a world of make believe.
This is a story of an already established couple who are struggling to reconcile their opposing views regarding marriage with the fact that neither of them can imagine a life without the other.
There are no major secrets revealed or lies uncovered; No huge bombshells dropped.
The whole book spans only a couple of days in the life of Hadley, Finn, Rod, Morgan, Ricky and their friends but is an accurate portrayal of a real life relationship and it's ups and downs.
Now, a little about the characters. First, and most importantly, there is Finn Wilder. Sexy, incredibly loving, alpha, dare-devil, sportscasting Finn. His love for Hadley is never ending, as is his stubbornness when it comes to marriage.
Hadley is, in my opinion, a little too insecure about Finn and his feelings for her. She's also smart and fun and head over heels in love with him but not sure she can give up on her dream of marriage and kids.
Lucky for her she has her besties Morgan and Rod (Greg) as support. Their banter back in forth is hilarious!! Actually everything about Rod is kind of hilarious. He has a total man crush on Finn, but also likes to push his buttons when it comes to Hadley, which is funny but makes for some pretty awkward situations.
The whole story reads like a movie, alternating from Hadley's POV to Finn's.
The book ends in sort of a cliffhanger but not like the "dun-dun-dun" kind of cliffhanger. Just like the "uh-oh the hour is up and I'll have to resume to show in the morning" kind of a cliffy.

"Chasing the Wild Sparks" is a very realistic story about the ups and downs of Hadley and Finn's relationship. A lot of people reading this book will be able to relate to their highs and lows. Hadley and Finn have been a couple for three years. Hadley is the typical girl who wants to get married and have children. Finn her boyfriend, on the other hand, does not want to get married but would prefer they just move into together. Having been the child in parental divorces this is the cause of Finn's negativity towards marriage.

Morgan and Rod(Greg), are Hadley's best friends and want to see their best friend happy. They encourage her to discuss her feelings about wanting to get married and have children with the love of her life Finn. Hadley knows that Finn is against marriage and he is not interested in having children either.

Finn asks Hadley to move in with him to take their relationship further but Hadley does not want to give in to what he wants and lose what she feels she will never get to have with Finn, marriage and children. She feels he will just be comfortable living together and things will never change to the dreams she has for their future.

The changes that occur for Morgan with her relationship with Ivan puts Hadley and Finn's relationship into a tailspin. They both begin to question their own relationship.

I recommend that you read this book to find out what happens with Finn and Hadley relationship. Find out if they stay together by living together, getting married or neither. Awesome read!

got this book as part of a God Reads First Reads.

Apologies to the author .....but I couldn't really see the point of this book !

Firstly there was Hadley - who had the stupidity to put up with her long term boyfriend who only really wanted his wicked way with her all the time and no commitments at all

Then Finn- the boyfriend - who didn't want to move homes to be with his girlfriend and didn't want his girlfriend with him in public.

Then there were Hadleys friends who did nothing but pick and pike and call names ( mostly sexual) against Finn and any one else they could.

No real story line - there were Hadley and Finn and friends doing parties and the racing circuit and not much else - all I wanted to do was put them in a box and shake them all up and say that real life is not like that and to wake up , smell the coffee and GET A LIFE !

I sat and read the whole book over a couple of night willing it to get better and give me something to get to grips with - sadly a real disappointment

Oh my! Where to start with Finn Wilder and Hadley Beckett. First off I loved this book! This story touches on all emotions possible! There was a point I laughed so hard I performed my first spit take, hitting my four year old in the process! These two completely misguided lovebirds are at odds! For no reason! They both want the same things from each other, have the same fears, and the same problems, they just don't know it. They are so in love with each other they are afraid to make one wrong move for fear of ruining everything. It doesn't help their situation any that they both have well intended friends pressuring them and meddling. I love the range of emotion in Chasing the Wild Sparks, one minute you'll be ready to cry your eyes out, the next ready to hit someone, and even still laugh until you bust your appendix! (It's not easy explaining to a four year old why you are laughing so hard at a book!) Oh but the downfall, it's a cliffhanger! I'm so freaking grateful that I already have book 2! Now to be n the look out for book 3! I hope you're smart and grab this one up! :)

ok so i had recieved a coPy of this book for an honest review.......
I didn't even read the blurb before reading it so i caould really concentrate on the book itself without any influence.
I have to say that i was pleasantly surprised reading Chasing the Wild Sparks. I absolutely LOVE Hadley and Finn together. I was laughing throughout the whole book at Rod nad Morgans antics and banter. The insecurities of both Hadley and Finn stop them from what they BOTH really want and need even if it is denied. I am currently reading Book 2 in this series Daring the wild sparks!!! I am LOVING it so far.The friendships and families that are portrayed are life like and very relateable to those we will every day. Kudos to Ren and bring on the SPARKS!!

I just finished reading this book and I'm immediately getting the next one! This book has it all - love, hot romance, angst, and humor. There were parts that broke my heart and parts that melted my heart. Ren Alexander demonstrates real life issues between couples - communication, or lack thereof. She includes how friends see, interact with and influence the couple. At one point, I couldn't contain my laughter and was wiping tears from my eyes. My family thought I was crazy because I was laughing at my Kindle. This is really a great story and I highly recommend it.

An amusing read about two people so in love they can’t see strait. Hadley wants to be a wife and mother sooner than later. Finn has his own ideas about how marriage kills love. These two funny and warm characters make themselves miserable weather they are together or apart.
Their good friends try to steer them is a better direction and give them relationship advise. Some good, some bad…lots of humor and witty sarcasm.

“It’s always better to fly your own kite.”
I narrow my eyes in thought. “I think that’s the slogan for something.”
“Maxi pads, maybe?”
~Rod and Hadley talking about going to the kite festival

Finn does try to tell Hadley how he feels for a sportscaster he doesn’t articulate it well. She never really understands how important she is to him. She is hung up on how gorgeous his female fans, the Finnatics, are and not what he is telling her.

“I’m thinking that you’re my lucky charm. I want you wherever I am, by my side, even when it’s not possible. And right now, I’m thinking I’d rather be kissing you than arguing with you.”
~Finn to his ‘Becks’

Hadley feels like Finn’s dirty little secret. They have been together three years and he has yet to introduce her to any of his work colleagues or let his adoring fans know that he is taken. This causes a huge rift and almost the end for them.
Her friends, Morgan and Rod, know the lovers are crazy about each other however; they can’t get on the same page in their relationship or compromise for the other one.

“Why? He only wants back into your vagina!” Wow.
“Morgan!” Finn seethes.
“What? Are you going to say that’s a lie? You think of her as a dick cozy!”
~Morgan and Finn arguing about why he wants Hadley

These two, Hadley and Finn, have to be the hardest headed uncompromising characters you will ever read. They will draw you into their world and you can’t wait to see what happens next. Fighting and making up is how they solve things. At times, as a reader, you will root for one of them then the next time you will root for the opposite one.
Seeing glimpses into Finn’s perspective help know what he is thinking, if only he would talk to the woman he loves and tell her everything their forever could begin.
You will be ready to grab the next installment in the series as soon as you finish this novel. Becoming so involved in the characters lives and issues, you have to find out where all of this is going.

The Ratings*:

Hands down 5 freaking stars! This book is absolutely amazing! I had to take a minute to calm my racing heart before writing this review…

Hadley, AKA Becks, has been with her boyfriend, Finn, for over three years and she is ready to take it to the next level. Being in her thirty’s her biological clock is starting to tick…loudly… However, Finn stresses that he never wants to get married.
Finn has been around divorce his entire life, people fall in love and as soon as they get that piece of paper in their hands, suddenly everything falls apart. He desperately does not want that to happen to them.

Finn is a local TV sportscaster as well as their town dare devil, also in the lime light and easily recognized he tried to keep their relationship private, only he takes that a little too far. Pain, confusion, and neglect plagues Beck’s heart. She knows he loves her, why is he so unwilling to make the commitment to her? When her best friend announces she is pregnant and engaged, everything around her crumbles to the ground. Can they survive this? Will Finn be able to admit to himself that not ALL marriages end in divorce, that their love will be strong enough to prevail?

The raw emotion in this book is absolutely phenomenal! On more than one occasion I found my heart begin to race, my hands started to shake and I could absolutely envision Hadley laying into Finn for hurting her. The arguments that these two share felt so lifelike, Ren Alexander blew me away with this one.

Oh and to warn you, CLIFF HANGER! One of those cliff hangers where you are screening at your kindle (and maybe a little bit at the author..). Ren has herself a new fan, I cannot wait to read Daring the Wild Sparks and anything else Ren decides to write, Fan-Girl for life!

Hadley is wonderfully relatable character I instantly fell in love with her spirit and passion for life and Finn. She is realistic and wants only the most reasonable of things from her long time boyfriend Finn Wilder, marriage and to start a family. Finn while completely in love with Hadley (becks) he feels that marriage ruins relationships. so the struggle begins as two very stubborn people begin to sort out what they want from this relationship.
Finn on the other hand I had a hard time understanding at first. seeing and agreeing with becks point of view I wanted him to marry her and live happily ever after. I also wanted to yell at him when he didn't agree with Becks (Hadley) . As you continue reading the author takes important scenes and give you and insight into Finns point of view. after seeing things through his eyes I began to realize why he's making the decisions he is and why he reacts this way. This was the turning point of the book for me. I was confused as to what I wanted for them. I agreed with both of them. each have valid points. my inner turmoil. at this point I was so intrigued with this book. anxiously hanging onto every word, dying to know what happens next.
This book while discussing a serious topic, is extremely humorous. Hadley's best friend Rod keeps you on your toes with his witty remarks and antics. you really never know what he is going to say or do next. He is a fun loving guy who is always there when he's needed and sometimes when he's not.
I loved this book! I think it was very well written, everything flowed perfectly and it wasn't your typical romance novel. I have never read a romance book that made me laugh so often ( Rod really is a Hand full!) I think Becks and finn are perfect for each other and I cant wait to see what happens next. Chasing the Wild Sparks is a must read!

This book definitely had me chasing more than sparks...I kept chasing after the next page <3 One thing that this book does is you get both perspectives of the main characters in the book being Finn & Becks.
Becks wants the fairy tale ending, complete with wedding bells & babies. Completely in love with Finn, there is no other for her. Problem is Finn doesn't want to get married and just wants to move in together but with only enough time to see each other on weekends, she can't help but questions what is going in in his mind. Dating for three years is this all this will ever be? You just want to take Finn's arm and beat him with it for her! Than you get to Finn's point of view...
Finn is in the public eye and everyone sees his public persona, only thing he truly wants is to keep his private life private. The girl he loves most is his only and he doesn't want to share with the public. As long as he knows and shows Becks that she's the one for him and no one else...that's what counts. I know...this is where I went "Awww" and when he says stuff like "your my soulmate, without you, I'm nothing."
And just one more thing ROD! OMG this guy is something else! A potty mouth that keeps you laughing...everyone needs a Rod in their life...lucky me I married one like him lol.
Onto the next book...Daring is waiting for me ;)

Well I'm officially hooked on Hadley and Finn. This book was a refreshing book because it is different than the normal he has history, she has history, both want the same and live happily ever after. They are both wanting such different things out of life based on their pasts. It's so hard to read and wish Hadley would get what she so desires which is marriage and kids and she obviously loves Finn so much but he just can't do it. I go from being a finnatic to wanting to smack him and tell him to marry Hadley already! The two secondary characters aka Morgan and Rod seriously crack me up. From their nicknames and their general personalities. I just can't get enough of them. I love the writing style the author uses where it's the same conversation with the thoughts from different people reacting to it in different chapters. It's a unique y to show the different points of view of literally the exact same moment in the story.
I'll admit in was a bit upset when I realized I was running out of pages and that there was too much I wanted to see happen and there was not enough left in the book to have it happen. Great great book! I look forward to reading the next book and continuing the story of Hadley and Finn. I'll be on the look out for any other books from this author in the future.. awesome!

This is a book that I could not put down. On two different occasions, I was only going to read one more chapter and two hours later I pulled myself away. The writing is crisp and smart. The characters are realistic and the emotions are all over the place. I love the author's voice in this book. Ms. Alexander writes descriptive but not flowery scenes. Her couple deeply loves each other but their road to a HEA is filled with potholes. Finn loves Hadley devoutly. Being a public persona, he wants to keep his private life away from the public eye. Hadley feels that she is his dirty little secret. She want desperately for Finn to proclaim his commitment to her. She wants the whole package, marriage and kids. Finn has seen too many marriages end in divorce. He fears putting their love at risk by doing what Hadley desires. Their story is at times sweet, sexy and emotionally devastating. The sex scenes are passionate and hot. Ms. Alexander gives her characters great depth. Her secondary characters are as well rounded as the main characters. I find Rod refreshing and quirky. Both he and Morgan are the support system that this couple needs. I can't wait to read the next book in the series. Well done Ms. Alexander, keep up the great quality of writing.

This love story starts out as Hadley trying to convince her friends that she's okay with her relationship with Finn. But deep down she knows she'll never be okay with it unless he marries her. After realizing this story wasn't as easy fall in love and live happily ever after I was sucked in. I love reading about fighting for the love you deserve. These two characters had me laughing out loud on many pages. I really liked that you got both Hadley and Finn's POVs. I think you get a better grasp on the story when it's not just one character's story telling. The things these two say and think is like actually listening to a real life friend's problems. They both want that happy ending but have different ideas of what it is. They make it loud and clear they are both head over heels in love with the other but too stubborn to give a little to make the other truly happy. I'm excited to read the second book and find out what the dare actually is! And how exactly Hadley is going to work her little plan. This a 10 star book in my eyes, an excellent read and I'd recommend it to anyone who likes a love story with laughter and aggravation!!

Received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I absolutely loved Hadley and Finn.
Hadley a 33 year old woman who is ready to settle down. She's been in a 3 year relationship with Finn. BUT the problem is Finn is paranoid about marriage because of what happened to his parents. He just wants to be with her forever but not get married. Hadley is having doubts if Finn is cheating on her. Wonders why no one knows that he has a girlfriend and why he keeps her a secret. Being a star sports caster and resident dare devil makes him a chick magnet.
There's also Hadley's two BFFs, Morgan and Rod. Rod real name Greg... totally has a man crush on Finn, reading those parts I thought was funny. Specially when he loved pushing Finn's buttons when it comes to Hadley.

I fell in love with this book. It has humor, friendship, emotional roller coaster and steamy scenes. I could not put it down and now I want more. This book ends with a cliffhanger.
Ren awesome job and thanks to you now I'm a fan who is coming back for more. Loved it!

Well, dang. As soon as I finished reading this book I had to go on amazon and buy the second book Daring the Wild Sparks. First off, I will say I freaking love Fin! and Hadley too! Even more I love her nickname, Becks. I really do not like Morgan-at all. She just rubbed me the wrong way. I feel like this book hit on a touchy subject for me because at times I was like Becks and her feelings of marriage. I think Ren has somehow managed to write about my life with a little more glamour than it really has LOL! I feel like Morgan just kept pushing the buttons causing Hadley to doubt herself and her relationship. This book has some comedy. Made me crack up a few times-at work! Finn. Finn. Finn. He is a top notch guy for me. I just fell in love with him. I love Rod too! I wont give the story away. Let's talk about the ending! AHH! As soon as I finish writing this I will be reading the next book. I hope Fin doesn't let me down!

Oh my god! I was laughing so much while reading this. I think my dog thinks I’m nuts now. I absolutely love the dynamic between Hadley, Morgan and Rod. I wish I could witness it first hand because I’m sure they a riot to watch. I would never have known that this is Ren’s first novel, It is so well written. My heart ached for Rod when he talked about his sister. I do hope we hear more about her in the follow-up novel. A spin off for Rod would be great. I feel for Hadley because she wants nothing more than to spend the rest of her life with Finn and he secretly wants the same but is too scared to admit it to her. I hope he changes his mind and reveals his secret to her, I have a feeling he does but I’ll have to read more to find out! Well done Ren! I loved it and will be recommending this to everyone I know!

Fin and Hadley (Becks as Fin likes call her) arr two people so in love. They have amazing chemistry, when they are not arguing with each other. But their relationship is frustrating because they both want the samething just not in the same way. Hadley loves Fin with all her heart. She wants to get married to her boyfriend of 3 years and start a family. Fin adores, treasures and loves Hadley. However, he doesnt want to get marries and have kids.

This story is very smooth flowing with well built characters. I love Hadleys BFFs Morgan and Rod. They both add such comedy to the story. Fins BFF Rocky is a little off and im still not sure about him as of yet. I thoroughly loved this story and cant wait to start the next book Daring the Wild Sparks. I have to find out what has happened between Fin and Hadley

Finn and Hadley "Becks" are both searching for their HEA with each other, although they're going about it differently. You can't help fall in live with them as you can clearly see how much they love each other.
I loved reading the story in both of their POV as this made it clear what they each thought and felt. It was clear that even though there were some doubts within each about their relationship, Finn and Becks couldn't think of life without the other. They had some very HOT moments and some that just made me want to hit both of them upside the head for their stupid stubbornness, but all in all, I loved their story.
Will they reach their HEA as they're both working so hard at achieving it? I can't wait to jump into the next book, Daring the Wild Sparks, to see what happens.

Finn and Hadley are both in pursuit of a happily ever after with each other, although they have different ideas about what exactly their forever together should entail. I really fell in love with the couple, because of their genuine love for each other. I also enjoyed Hadley's two friends Morgan and Rod. Those two cracked me up many times while I was reading. I literally laughed out loud a few times.

Ren Alexander uses Hadley's point of view throughout most of the book, but after important scenes, she dedicates a chapter two Finn's point of view. I thought switching to Finn's point of view really helps the reader to connect to Finn and his feelings.

Loved Chasing the Wild Sparks!! Now on to Daring the Wild Sparks!!

Loved this book. The subject is different enough that i didn't get bored. Yes it's another love story but with a twist. Finn wilder loves Hadley, his Becks, with everything he has. But he can't give her the one that she wants most, marriage. Too many divorces in both their lives have made Finnigan dreadful of marriage. He has a secret that could change everything, but he won't tell Becks. Becks knows Finn is hiding something from her, she just doesn't know what. Finn and Hadley are made for each. Hadley has to decide whether or not she can do without marriage and a baby to be with Finn forever. A must read. My new favorite author of 2014!

I liked this book but sometimes I wanted to throttle every character! I truly loved Hadley and Finn. I thought their love was genuine and strong but they had a lot of issues. I felt so bad for Hadley because she was such a sweet girl and I felt like Finn ignored her feelings on marriage and children. I do believe he is head over heels in love with her but sometimes he didn't show it. Hadley's friends were hilarious and very loyal and their banter was awesome. I hope in the next book we get some answers on why Finn is so scared of marriage and children. Overall the book was really well written and funny. The laughs make it worth reading!!

Go one click this now you will love it!

Wow Ren has done an amazing job bring these characters to life. We have Finn who is the hot sports caster/ daredevil. He is Hadley's boyfriend and he wants to keep her all to him self but that's not what she wants. She wants it all husband family and for him to tell the world who she is. This couple has their ups and downs but with friends like Morgan. Rod(Greg) and Ricky they some how work through some things.

The best thing about this book it tho it is fictional one can relate to the problems Finn and Hadley faces. The characters are funny emotional and just so darn lovable!

Go Read this book! Ren Alexander has written a story about two people so in love but both at different places in where they want their relationship to go. Hadley and Finn are realistic characters that you are able to picture from the beginning. The author gives the story from both point of views so the reader grasps the entire plot and doesn't question the intent of the characters. The story has humor, friendship, turmoil, and of course sex. But Alexander writes in such a way that it is believable and respectful. I absolutely loved this book and am starting the next one asap!
