Being single is hard. Being a single mom? Let’s just say it isn’t for the weak. I’ve been keeping strong since that worthless husband of mine left me for his Mom’s best friend over a year ago. Yeah, you heard right! So when my future brother-in-law gifted me with an all-expense-paid vacation, I was more than excited to relax and embrace this much-needed break. That’s when I ran into them. Vacation mode: activated. You know what they say? What happens on vacation stays on vacation… or does it?
Vacation Valentines is a standalone MMF adult romance. While it can be read as a standalone it is part of a shared world. This book contains mature situations and content.
Cassie resides in Northern Illinois on a farm with her husband and six kids. When not writing she can be found reading or chauffeuring her kids or showing pigs. Cassie is a huge advocate for foster care and adoption. Enjoys a good horror movie, a dark romance, and alcohol. Lots and lots of alcohol. You did just read she has six kids right?
What can a woman want for February 14? Expensive gifts and flowers? No, definitely not! A hot date with a great book and a glass of wine? Oh yes, that's perfect! Well, I had a great time on Valentine's Day because I had a date with Vacation Valentines.
And I was not disappointed! Vacation Valentines turned out to be the perfect holiday book! The story drew me in from the first pages and dragged me into a sweet, funny and erotic story.
I have to admit, I've liked Cara since Christmas Cupid when she and her mom stepped in at the right time and nudged Cain & Aiden in the right direction. But here we see her in a new light. Here she is the mother who has to take care of her children alone, abandoned by her partner and face the disappointments that life throws at her.
The escape from reality leads her into the arms of two particularly sexy and charming men. I'm happy that despite all the doubts and drama that followed, she didn't deny herself all the time and found happiness in the faucet.
Waylon and Walker - it will come as no surprise if I say that they were my favorites throughout the book. I even had more fun reading the story from their points of view than Cara's at times. (it's like having a weakness for best friends to lovers). These two definitely have all the men in reality in their little pocket. Their attitude, their attitude towards the children and Kara, their patience...all this was perfect.
I loved that right from the beginning things went from attraction and one night stand to something more very naturally.
Whew! I need a fire extinguisher after that read! MMF romance, single mom, friends to lovers, vacation fling, golden retriever MMC, cinnamon roll MMC. Cara has a single mom who got married and had kids young, so she’d never got the chance to free her wild side. What better time than while enjoying a vacation that was gifted to her? She runs into Walker and Waylon, who are friends from home. They have been in a secret relationship, and are planning on coming out when they return from vacation. But they’ve been looking for a woman to add to their relationship. So they have a super spicy vacation fling. But what happens when they return home? What an entertaining read! Walker and Waylon are perfect for each other, and perfect for Cara! I had trouble differentiating the guys at the beginning because their names are similar, but toward the middle, there was no more confusing them. They’re so different from each other, and they compliment each other well. I love when I read a book in first-person POV and I know exactly who is narrating. I do not like Cara’s ex-husband. I’m avoiding verbalizing my full thoughts about him in this review because I don’t want to get b@nn3d. Lol. But seriously, super quick, steamy read with some mild drama and an ex we love to h@t3. If you’re a fan of throuples, check this one out!
Book 2 in the Holiday Heart series brings us Waylon and Walker's story. Cain may have played a role in his sister's "meet up" with them while she was on her singles vacation.
This book is a fun read with good spice and a loving portrayal of love is love. Cara is broken hearted after Paul leaves her high and dry with the kids, cheating on her. Another failed relationship upsets her world. She decides to vacation alone, meeting up with Waylon and Walker at the resort. One fun night of Cara throwing caution to the wind begins to fill in the missing piece of the guy's relationship.
Cara is interested, but she has 2 kids to consider and isn't sure how that would work. The three of them navigate the path (with some help here and there) and end up with a HEA+1.
There were a few times I wanted to yell at Cara to chill, but she redeemed herself in the end ☺️
I adored this story! I love that this is a second chance story but in an unconventional way. Cara was so relatable even though I am not a parent. She is strong and feisty but still has her insecurities and let’s them get in the way sometimes. Bea is Cara’s best friend and she is someone we all could use in our lives! I loved her and hope to see more of her! Walker and Waylon are perfection! I love their dynamics and how they treat Cara. I need W&W in my own life.
This book is a sweet and steamy read that will have you falling in love with the characters but will have its moments where you just want to grab their shoulders and shake them.
What does a single mom with a jerk for an ex need the most? She needs a man sandwich with Walker and Waylon! This book starts high on heat and this continues all the way to the end. It’s not just about the heat though, this story has an amazing storyline that will grip you and give you all the feels. I loved this easygoing MMF read and want more from this world and from this author!
This was adorable! This quick moving, small town romance was filled with so many fun, witty characters. I fell in love with both Walker and Bea. Who wouldn't love a BFF like her?? Walker and Waylon were a dream team that I would love to be in the middle of!! Her ex could go kick rocks, and I hope at some point we can see what karma has in store for him! You need to go check out this quick, steamy read!!
This is one of those books that had me reading it in one sitting. It is an rh book so make sure you are into that type of thing before reading this . It features a single mom who has been through the ringer with relationships but that all changes one February 14th.
This was an Great book. This is the second book in the Holiday Hearts series. I 💓 Walker, Waylon, Cara, and her kids. I just couldn't put it down. This has Single mom, MMF, funny, worthless deadbeat ex, vacation, break up, extra spicy, strong women, entertaining, unpredictable, steamy, small town, drama, HEA, sugar and spice, and so much more. 💓 was his book. Can't Wait, to read more, from this author.
I'm so very jealous of Cara! She gets 2 stunning country men to literally melt for her!! The spice in this book is so detailed, and spine tingling!! As a single mom myself, this is what dreams are made of, or well, fantasies anyway!
This is such an amazing book with such small town drama, that crappy ex, and the forever love we all adore! I LOVED reading about Cara's life and then finally about her getting her HEA. Cassie, as usual did an amazing job with the plot of this story and giving us an amazing poly holiday story and the spice? HOT HOT HOT! <3 FAB.
I've never read anything by Cassie, but I won this book in a giveaway, so I thought it was only fitting that I leave a review. I really enjoyed this book!! Walker and Waylon were awesome and so sexy and they are the perfect boyfriends for Cara. They just have to make her see that. Loved it!!!!
Sooooo good. I couldn’t wait for this book to come out. I love the characters and the way the book played out. My favorite scene was when they all ran into each other unexpectedly. I can’t spoil the book. Lol.
This is a super spicy book that starts out with our FMC, Cara, shopping for a trip she’s going on over Valentines Weekend! Cara is given then trip by her future brother in law, Aiden. While shopping, her boyfriend Brett calls and breaks up with her over the phone and talks about how he won’t come 2nd to her children. Douche! Anyways, she is going to cancel the trip, as she doesn’t want to go alone now that Brett isn’t going and, her best friend Bea can’t go either. But, Bea, being an amazing best friend, convinces her to go alone anyways! (Side note… Bea needs her own story!!!!!)
While on vacation, Cara finds a new sense of self. She is getting compliments left and right and even hit on by a sexy bartender. She feels…sexy.. for the first time in a long time!
While this is all happening, we are introduced to Waylon and Walker! These are the towns 2 most eligible bachelors and best friends. What their little town doesn’t know is that they are more than just friends… they are lovers. But, they are both Bi and have dated women on the side of their relationship. Their dream is to find a woman that wants both of them that is also okay with their relationship with each other. They, also, received tickets for a trip on Valentines Weekend… to the same place/resort as Cars. Ironically… Aiden is the same person to give them these tickets. Weird! They plan to stop hiding their relationship once they are back home.
All 3 characters have an amazing first night and then day on vacation. They all end up at the same little bar launchers that night! Cara ends up on the dance floor. The guy see a sexy red head dancing, but can’t catch a glimpse of her face. Finally… they work their way to her to start dancing with her, hoping to take her back to their room for a night of fun… just to realize that they all know each other from back home!
After a short conversation, Cara says why not and goes back to their room with them for 1 night of fun.
Enter spice here and omg!!!!
The next morning Cara is caught sneaking out and thinking that they basically only invited her back to their room out of pity. After an argument. She leaves. They track her down later that night at a party on the beach. They try and follow her back to see what room is hers and lose her. As they are trying to be sneaky.. they find her again… the bartender from the night before is trying to force himself on her. They quickly intervene which leads to another steamy night and her rushing off again!
Fast forward to the flight and home… there is too much I could says to spoil the rest of this book! Just know that it involves super spicy scenes, snarky comments, Cara and her 2 awesome kiddos, an amazing bff, a funny mom, and more!!! This book will not disappoint! Its equal parts shmexxy, frustrating, funny, and “awww”. So, it’s perfect!!!!
This is part of the Holiday Hearts series, the second book. Cara is a very strong woman who has had a hard time with men. A deadbeat husband who left her for an older woman and a boyfriend who broke up with her over text for putting her children first. This vacation was supposed to be her having adult time with him. Her best friend Bea talked her into talking about it by herself. Best decision ever. Waylon and Walker have been best friends and lovers for a long time, but also like women. They just haven't found the right one who can accept their relationship and love both of them too. They've decided that after this vacation it's time to come clean to the town they live in and finally quit living a lie. They never expected to find their love at the resort and that she was someone they already knew. I loved this story because it is about three people finding love where they least expected it. Waylon and Walker are very comfortable with their relationship and want that special person. They see Cara and it all clicks. I love how Cara always puts Oscar and Tatum first, but she's forgotten how to put her needs in the mix too. I also loved how protective Aiden, Cain and her friend Bea are of her. They each have their way of showing that love. Aiden with his books to all of them to prepare for vacation and open their minds to the possibility of the type of relationship, Bea and her overprotective ways and getting answers and Cain his little brother looks across the field. I loved these three together and how Waylon and Walker treated Cara, she wasn't used to it, she kept looking for the other shoe to drop and when the slightest thing happened she would run. I loved their patience with her and just how they were with her kids. This story was everything and the steamy scenes were extra spicy. I'm looking forward to seeing who gets bit next will it be Molly or Bea?
This is just one of those type of stories that makes you smile and just gives off those feel good vibes. I absolutely loved this story and loved how Cain and Aidan (Christmas Cupid) made an appearance as well. This is a page turner and grips you from the start. This book brings the love, the spice and some laughs a long the way. Cara is a single mother of two after her partner leaves her for her mothers best friend. Not only that but her boyfriend breaks up with her as her doesnt like how she puts her kids first. One thing is Cara is head strong and will go to all lengths to protect her children and ensuring they are happy even if it means forgoing her own happiness. Now Cara has this weekend break away over the Valentine weekend and no-one to go with, but her bestie talks her in to going to let her hair down and have some fun. Then we have Waylon and Walker the eligible men of the small town who just so happen to be away to the same place as Cara. These boys are hiding a secret, there is more to them than just a friendship and their hope is to find the perfect female for them. These three end up having a very steamy weekend away but when its time to go home Cara has her mum face on, she feels she cant let this go any further as she has her children to think about. The boys though have other plans and they want their HEA with Cara and her children. They pull out all stops to make this happen, but things arent smooth sailing for these three. Cara is a character that is easy to relate to and you can easily understand were she is coming from then we have the boys that are willing to go to lengths to make Cara happy, not only do they include Cara but they want to include her children as well. This is a must read.
I have been eagerly awaiting the release of this book since I read Christmas Cupid.
I loved how Lein portrayed the 2 male leads and their relationship in this book. It felt right. They feel like 2 normal guys that every girl wants... but they want, have and enjoy each other too. I appreciated how they are comfortable together and with a girl. And that they both maintain their masculinity even in their sexual moments.
I also loved how much I connected with the female lead. She is a mom that puts her kids first and is always thinking about them. I also appreciate how Lein included female self care.... like using the washroom after sex - something that I think most girls do but isn't commonly written about.
I am thrilled for what the leads have found. I hope to see them in another book (fingers crossed).
This is a standalone book in the Holiday Hearts Collection. I enjoyed how the same characters where in both books. Getting to see more of the leads of Christmas Cupid... especially how the one played a role in this book happening... was wonderful. Interconnected books make my heart happy. However, I am hoping for more books. I thought there would be more mention of Garnet in this book. I feel there is something special about her being in this town and from the first book, I thought she would be more involved with Cara's family. So, again, fingers crossed for more books in this series.
I have really been enjoying this spicy but sweet Hallmark style series of small town romances. Although they are standalones, there is some crossover and as someone who has read them all out of order it is nice seeing the same characters still in each others lives rather than just token appearances and makes the small town setting more believable.
I loved Aiden and Cain's relationship in book one and although Aiden is still my favourite character, Waylon and Walker are so sweet together. I loved how solid they were in this and were a united front throughout as they try to win Cara over. Cara frustrated me a little in this as she was so quick to jump to conclusions with Waylon and Walker without giving them the chance to explain and I would have liked to see her make the same kind of big gesture the guys did who were all in from the start. I loved how fierce she was when it came to her kids though and her snarky attitude through her heartbreak about Paul and Frieda did make me laugh. Bea was also one of my favourites - her shakedown in the bathroom was so funny. I hope we get her story soon as she deserves it.
My interpretation of the star system; 3 stars - I enjoyed it; would read the author again 4 stars - I really liked it; I am invested and definitely want more from this author/series 5 stars - I loved it; I engaged with this book completely until I finished it and it is one I will re-read
Vacation Valentines ( Holiday Hearts Book 2) Tropes 💜M/M💜MMF To say that all my expectations are exceeded every single time I pick up one of Cassie’s books would definitely be an understatement. Let me first start by saying that this past year I’ve been on a bit of a dark romance but binge , and man dld I need a change . Well Cassie Delivered on so many levels. Vacation Valentines is the type of love story that has the ability to not only suck you right in from the very first page , but to make you feel so many different emotions all at once - you’ll smile , you’ll laugh, you’ll yell in frustration, you’ll cry like a baby and root so so hard . Cara. walker and Waylan are brought together in the most unexpected of ways . As a single mom , well let’s just say Cara was such a relatable character for me . A single mom who is all about her kids ( I really did feel for her the way she suffered heartbreak at the hands of her ex all because she has kids and right before they were supposed to take a vacation together .and then we have Waylon and Walker ( the perfect example of good men ( loving , kind , not afraid to voice how they feel and oh so adorably swoony . To watch the relationship grow between them and see how they broke down Cara’s walls was truly a beautiful thing . Vacation Valentines is a must read ❤️❤️❤️
I was so excited to return to the town & characters of Kingston. This was a very sweet & steamy novel with some humor thrown in. (A toddler showing off mommy's adult toy that she found to play with, still cracks me up.) Cara is a divorced mother of two, & now, is minus one douchebag ex-boyfriend. Friends/family convince her to still use her Christmas present by herself, a Valentine's weekend stay at a resort. While there (cue meddling family/friends), she comes across Kingston's two most eligible bachelors, Waylon & Walker. They had a present from the Christmas gift exchange, pair of tickets to the resort. At the last minute, they were told if they came Valentine weekend, they'd be upgraded to a suite. They decide to use this weekend as the last chance to unwind, before coming out as couple, and to maybe find a third (female) person to have a relationship with. Well, let's just say the guys fall first, and we get to see them winning over the kids & with a little more difficulty, their momma. This is a standalone novel, but I would highly recommended reading Christmas Cupid first. You'll see small glimpses of Cara, Walker, & Waylon before any of them were in a relationship. And Cain (Cara's brother) & Aiden's story is adorable.
I definitely needed a cold shower during this read. And i loved the story and plot. Everything was laid out beautifully.
Cara is a single mom to two beautiful children her brother in law gives her a trip to spend Valentines weekend at a beautiful resort in a beautiful place. Something she desperately needs. What better way to spend Valentines day. While there she meets two gorgeous men from back home and has a wild night with them.
Walker and Waylon receive a christmas gift from a friend to spend a weekend at a beautiful resort. They decide to have one last wild weekend before they come home to officially start their lives. They run into Cara from back home and have an amazing night of spicy fun with her. They have been looking for a woman to spend their life with that will accept them for who they are and realize Cara is that woman. But they have a fight on their hands because all of the men cara has tried to have a relationship prior with have sucked.also she has her kids to look after and put first. Walker and Waylon do everything they have to in order to give Cara and her children they lives they deserve.
This story is sweet and kind very funny and extremely spicy. And so so so dirty. I loved every minute of it
My rating:☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️(5/5) 🚨🚨Spoilers below read at your own risk🚨🚨
Cassie has done it again!! I thought Aiden and Cain's story was cute but this one was way cuter!!! I loved how after realizing who she was and that she in fact was from their town they didn't care and still wanted to see if their instant attraction would lead somewhere. Cassie did such a good job at making you feel the nerves and fears Cara felt throughout the book because of the dumbasses she dated in the past. I loved how Waylon and Walker were literally over-explaining to her overthinking. How they felt the need to put her sons emotions at ease because even though they knew she wasn't ready they didn't want him to go throughout the day feeling like that. I loved that they weren't trying to replace her kids' dad but wouldn't allow him to hurt the kids either. I will say though that I wished it had had more of their points of view because although we got to be in everyone's head I would have liked to be able to see the moment they both fell for Cara! I also wish we could see the ever after when the baby is already here and they are all living under the same roof!

I was so excited for Cara to get her story after Aiden and Cain’s! It’s adorable, sweet, and spicy. Cara, the FMC, has a Valentine’s day trip planned for her and her boyfriend, but unfortunately—more like fortunately—her boyfriend dumps her because “she puts her kids ahead of him.” I’m sorry but what?! OF COURSE, she should put her kids first! Talk about a fragile ego. I’m not a mother, but I know that kids should ALWAYS come first! Ok…rant over… The good news is that the newly single mother of two gets talked into taking the trip by herself for some R&R. While there she runs into Waylon and Walker, two men from her hometown. It seems Aiden may have been doing some matchmaking of his own 😘. The three get hot and heavy on vacation, but Cara is convinced it’s a vacation-only type of affair and essentially runs away from them a few times. Fast forward to when they get home. The guys aren’t willing to let Cara go, but as a single mom with self-esteem issues, she thinks it’s to good to be true. Pick this up if you like holiday romances and want to read a sweet V-day one with a HEA. It’s a fast read with lots of yummy spice and adorably hot men—with some MM—that you need to read! I loved it and I can’t wait to see what Cassie writes next!!
Vacation Valentines by Cassie Lein is a super sweet single mom menage romance. Cara is a single mom of two kids. Her most recent relationship ended when the guy told her she paid too much attention to her kids. She refuses to waste their Valentine's Day trip and goes on vacation alone. While there, she runs into two of her hometown's most eligible bachelors, Walker and Waylon, only to discover they are together and want her to join them. Can a one-night stand turn into more?
This story was super sweet. The characters were amazing. Cara seemed like a typical mom, while Walker and Waylon were diamonds in the rough. The rare breed of men that understand the importance of family. I couldn't help but get all tingly at how the men treated the kids after their bio dad turned out to be such a tool.
I rated Vacation Valentines 4 out of 5 stars. It has loveable characters. The story has twists that keep readers wondering what is happening, but it ends with a bang! If anyone deserves a HEA, it is this group. If you love a good friends-to-lovers story with a smoking-hot single mom and two frisky males, this little story is right up your alley!
Cara has a getaway vacation planned for her and her boyfriend for Valentine's Day. When they are scheduled to leave, he calls her and breaks up with her, telling her that the MILF thing was fun but he's done. He doesn't want to come second to her kids, while they are the most important to her. She decides that she is going to go on the vacation anyway and while there, she runs into two men that she knows from her town. They have some spicy times together, but Cara wants to leave the relationship and fun times in the islands. She doesn't want the relationship when they return home because she feels it will be too hard with her kids, her mom and the people of the town that they live in. Will Waylon and Walker be able to convince Cara to give them all a chance? And when there is interference from her ex-husband and ex-boyfriend, will they be able to withstand the strain?
I loved all of these characters. Cara is a mama bear and it's awesome how her kids are always her prime concern as they should be. And Waylon and Walker...I think every girl should have two guys like them :)
Super sweet 🥰🥰 I absolutely loved all the characters. I especially loved how Cara was with her kids. She was a wonderful mom and always put her kids first as she should. She's been burned in the past so she was very closed off when it came to try and do a relationship with the guys, so it was amazing watching her open up to the guys and giving them a chance.
Waylon and Walker were so adorably hot. They really showed Cara how good men behave with the woman they like/love. They were not shy about telling her how much they liked her and making her theirs. They really took my heart when I saw how they were with her kids.
I also really liked how we got to see not only them 3 together but we did get some scenes of just Waylon and Walker.
Cara bestie Bea definitely stole my heart too. Shes truly a ride or die type of friend.
It was nice going back to this small town and seeing this 3 lovely people getting the love they deserve. Seeing the characters from the other book had me so happy. Overall the book was a perfect blend of sweet and spicy.
This book is a contemporary romance that involves mmf romance. If that isn't your thing then move on. For those who would like to read something like this, you will not be disappointed! This is the 2nd book in this series and focuses on Cara. The story is very well written, I loved the characters and there were quite a few smoldering moments! If this is your kind of book or if it peaks your interest then pick it up. You will not be disappointed. This book is a contemporary romance that involves mmf romance. Cara is a single mom who’s boyfriend dumps her because she has kids. What a jerk. She had planned a vacation for the two of them but still took that vacation for herself. While there coincidentally she bumps into two men from her town Walker and Waylon. Together the three of them get up to some spicy hot fun. Cara though wants to play it as what happens on vacation stays on vacation and not pursue anything when they get back to real life. This is where Walker and Waylon have to prove to her that they’re real and meant to be and no ex will get in the way of that. Cassie lein did a phenomenal job portraying all of these characters and as a mom it’s so easy to relate to Cara. Walker and Waylon were amazing guys. This story was a quick read I finished it in a day and it was a super spicy romance with a happily ever after.
I truly loved this story. Cara is a single mom who has had a heck of a time with men. First her husband leaves her then her boyfriend of a month breaks up with her before her vacation. Her best friend Bea, whom I love by the way, talks her into going on the vacation by herself.
While on vacation, she decides to let loose and have a great time. She runs into Walker and Waylon that she happens to know from home. Walker and Waylon are together but would like to add a wonan to the mix and are ecstatic to see Cara. Some spicy things happen on vacay but Vara realizes this should just be vacation and has to get back to her kids.
Lots happen to Cara but the guys want to prove to her they are worth trying to be together at home. Such an amazing story. Read this so you can find out what happens.
This is cara, waylon and walkers story. This is one book i read in one sitting. Waylon and walker are already in a relationship but are looking for a woman to join their relationship. Cara is a single mum of 2 kids and has a horrible ex. Caras future brother in law gives her tickets for a vacation and she ends up going alone.there she meets waylon and walker, but they already no each other. I loved how the guys were trying everything to show cara that they wanted her and her kids in their lives. I wish cara didnt run away everytime something happened and let the guys explain themselves Aidan was great with his meddling regarding all three main characters. I would love to see a little epilogue with maybe them 10 years or more in the future to see where they are and what they are doing. An amazing book
