Firemen Are Cool
This is a very colorful vibrant story about two friends and their puppy on their way to school. The book is written simply with sight words for the kiddos to find and simple sentences for them to follow along. The bubble guppies meet firemen 👩🚒 and get a good education on fire trucks. Get ready for your little one to have a new or deepening fascination with fire trucks and firemen. Good times for you both.
Molly and Gil and Bubble Dog are on their way to school. Bubble Dog spots a squirrel and climbs a tree after it. PHil goes up and gets scared and Molly calls the fire department. They come out and use their ladder they get introduced to Dotty the fire dog🐕. When They get to school, they tell everyone. Mr. Grouper decided on a field trip to the Fire Department. They learn all about the fire truck 🚒 . What happens when they meet the fire truck later? Why does Gil get called, Fireman Gil? Reading will answer all your questions. Yipee for reading!!

I would be hard pressed to identify exactly which part of this book was the dumbest. There were so many options.
That firefighters existed underwater? (A heavy contender) That they needed and climbed ladders (as opposed to swimming to get the mer puppy "unstuck")? That fire hydrants existed UNDERWATER...and were leaking water??? (perhaps a tongue in cheek acknowledgement to the absurdity of the concept?)
If the aim was to educate about firefighting-- putting the story in the realm of UNDERWATER perhaps wasn't the brightest move. I understand that it's a franchise/ established characters. Then maybe avoid firefighting as a story line that's not going to make sense.
This was painful every step of the way and I felt dumber after finishing it.

What the heck.
So much irresponsibility going round -- the dog gets to go to school, it chases a squirrel up a tree, no one seems to know how to swim down. And the teacher decides to spontaneously take erryone on a field trip. I don't get it.
Oz picked this one and actually really liked it though. I don't know if he even knows the bubble guppies because he could only identify Gil.

I found this to be a very good story! It educates young learning minds and I feel that it also gives great encouragement and knowledge to the learning mind.

We may have to reread this one so I can be sure of my opinion, but I don't think it held up well to the format we're used to with other books.

Fun and learning
Fun! Teaches about ladders, emergencies, and sirens. Good illustration and easy for toddlers to follow. We will read it over and over!

Great story!
This was a cute story that explained an emergency in a kid friendly way. A must read for Bubble Guppie fans.
