a very very handsome book i will treasure and reference for a long time to come. design and printing reminds me of the handsome editions of the another gaze journal i used to get. the book collects works from collabers and those simply inspired by akerman whether they be essays or poems (eileen myles) or at the most threadbare photo series. insights into individual movie productions abound but more importantly love for curiosity about remembering of the woman herself and her practice. LOVE.

"in spite of the solitude, cinema is always made with a group, and most of the time it's dead filmmakers who work with us. perhaps, even, we only make films to allow the filmmakers who came before us to keep working." YES this will be the case
