Addison Jane is a born and bred kiwi girl with a passion for romance and writing. When she gets the chance she enjoys the little things in life such as reading, dancing, music, and Facebook, but her world really revolves around the little girl who calls her Mum. It's an awkward balance between alpha males and Disney princesses but it works. Growing up on a small farm next to the beach will always make her a country girl at heart. But since moving away to a small town close to the city she's discovered a dangerous love for shopping. Writing stories has been something that’s come naturally since she was young, and with the massive support of her friends and family, she finally decided to step out of her comfort zone and share them with the world. She enjoys bringing her books to life with strong female leads, sexy passionate men and a rollercoaster of twists and turns that lead to the happily ever after that her readers desire.
Age gab forbidden romance just makes my soul happy.
Shay hasn't had an easy life, and just when things seem to be normal and consistent.. life has a way of throwing curve balls. I feel for her. She had so much pent-up trauma, but despite her fears, she is still selfless and kind. She still loved with everything in her. She was loyal to a fault.
Bishop is everything I needed him to be. He fought the attraction for as long as he could but when he couldn't fight any longer he didn't have any barriers up. This man laid it out plain as day. He was protective, sweet in his own ways and oh so confident in all the right ways.
I loved the push and pull at the beginning. The crazy tension was palpable. The connection undeniable. They worked. They were both calm and despite the age gap they got one another. She didn't try to replace what he lost and he didn't treat her like he was broken.
I love this world and these characters. It's a softer mc with the woman getting all the respect and the brotherhood being a family. It's fast-paced with a little of everything.
4.5 stars. Age gap, bestie’s dad, fake dating that’s soooo not fake. Yes please. Thank you. The little moments where she was being a brat to him and he got all growly were *chef’s kiss* love that shit.
Bishop and Shay DNF There was too much stuff going on and not enough of the relationship between Bishop and Shay. By35 percent not much to hold my interest I skimmed bori G skim and the gave it up. I like age gap but this was Boring af.
This is the second book in the Exiled Eight MC series and it was more than worth the wait. I love my MC books with dominate alpha men and the strong women they fall for…even if it is a daughter’s best friend. Shay is in her mid-twenties and is a nurse so she knows the score. When she finds herself in danger Bishop, who is the Prez of the club, won’t let nothing stand in his way to protect the young beauty.
I love this author’s writing and when she throws in all of the steam and action, it doesn’t get much better. This is one of those books that I couldn’t put down.
This book kinda picks up where the last one left off. The last chapter of the first book is the introduction to this book, and it’s set a few weeks after that. FC is best friends with MC daughter and she falls for him. Bestie leaves town for a job and she lives with MC as she has addiction and trauma issues in her past. Her brother doesn’t help with her keeping those in her past either. Book was ok but nothing much to it really, I didn’t get pulled in or care about the characters. I won’t be continuing with the series.
Get ready to rev your engines and dive into the thrilling world of "Seize" by Addison Jane!
I've been eagerly awaiting this book for nearly 2 years, and let me tell you, it was well worth the wait! As a die-hard Addison Jane fan, I can't get enough of her writing style. She has this incredible talent for crafting male characters who are not only strong and rugged but also unafraid to show their vulnerable side. And her leading ladies? Total badasses who know what they want and aren't afraid to go after it!
"Seize" is the electrifying second installment in the Exiled Eight MC - Detroit Chapter series, and it's a wild ride from start to finish. We're introduced to Bishop, the fierce MC President of the Exiled Eight, and Shay, a strong-willed 26-year-old nurse who takes her vow to save lives seriously. But when Shay finds herself in a dangerous situation after saving someone from a bad situation, things really start to heat up as now she’s the one who needs protection. Oh, and did I mention that Shay happens to be best friends with Bishop's adult daughter? Talk about an age gap romance that sizzles!
Addison Jane doesn't hold back in the spicy scenes, and I am absolutely here for it! Bishop's dominating presence paired with Shay's fiery spirit makes for an explosive combination. Their banter is off the charts, and the chemistry between them is undeniable. It's the kind of love story that will keep you on the edge of your seat, eagerly flipping pages to know what happens next. But what truly sets Addison apart is her ability to create motorcycle clubs that feel like one big, badass family. The Exiled Eight MC is no exception, and the loyalty and camaraderie among its members are truly inspiring. It's no wonder Addison is the reason for my motorcycle romance obsession!
So, strap on your helmets, because "Seize" is a wild ride you won't want to miss. Addison Jane has once again delivered a gripping, heart-pounding romance that will leave you begging for more. And I can't wait to see what she has in store for us next!
As soon as I started reading this story, I felt like I was back with an old favourite book—even though it’s a new story, relaxed and happy is precisely how this author’s writing makes me feel. It’s simply been a while since I have read a book by this her, and the joy it brought was immeasurable.
In this second book in the Exiled Eight MC, Detroit series, we meet Shay, a young woman who’d had a tough upbringing and rough time growing up. She has a strength that she doesn’t see as such. Instead, she always sees herself as weak—unfortunately, a hangover from her teenage years.
Bishop is the president of the Exiled Eight and the father of her good friend from college, Calli. He and Shay’s attraction was immediate, but they didn’t act on it because he was much older than her, and as stated, she was his daughter’s best friend. Bishop was a true protector; his childhood was not ideal, but he learned valuable lessons from that and does the opposite when leading his club brothers.
The loyalty and sense of family within the club are strong, and both are things Shay hadn’t had for a long time. It makes you think about how much we take for granted with our families. The club's morals may differ slightly from ‘normal society,’ but they are firmly adhered to and believed in by all. The suspense element in the story is terrific, and you can’t help but be on edge a time or two, worrying about Shay in particular.
I love how this author describes things so clearly, often using everyday things that speak volumes. For example, when Shay is discombobulated putting the shopping away, she realises… “My body was moving like the tortoise, but my mind was racing like the hare.” It’s these delightful similes that clearly enable readers to visualise the story easily and quickly.
I look forward to the next book in this series, Surrender, but I admit the Scott brothers sound very interesting; I hope we get their stories one day, too. 😉

I was so excited to get my hands on this book!!! I am a die-hard Addison Jane fan and have been looking forward to the next book in her amazing series.
Seize is the second book in the Detroit Chapter of the Exiled Eight series. In this book we get Bishop's story. This is an age gap story involving the President and his daughter's best friend.
Shay has had it rough her whole life. She has pulled herself out of the dark and is now a nurse. She takes her oath of taking care of people very serious. After her best friend Calli takes an internship out of town Shay finds herself in danger after protecting a woman in the hospital. She has always been attracted to Bishop and fighting her feelings as to not hurt Calli. Bishop will do anything to protect the ones he cares about and Shay is no exception. She's about to learn the lengths he will go to in order to keep her safe. He fights his feelings as long as he can but Shay is something special! He has to find a way to keep her safe and tell her how he really feels.
Addison Jane has a way of drawing you into her world and making you never want to leave. You fall in love with her characters and feel every emotion that they do. There is never a shortage of action or spice in her novels. She is an automatic one click for me!
Shay's life growing up was a nightmare, and it took a lot of work for her to leave it there in the past & make something of herself. She found the greatest best friend, whose father, Bishop, is the president of The Exiled Eight MC (Detroit), and now Shay has help from that club. Shay is the strongest heroine ever, and she never fails at throwing herself headfirst into danger to save someone's life which is how she found herself in serious danger to the point that Bishop had to step in to protect her. They're very attracted to each other, but neither let it happen until his daughter (her best friend) had landed a coveted internship, and finally those sparks ignited. I loved how he was with Shay, as he had her back but let her be herself at the same time, however danger is stalking her from more than one direction which has all of them on their toes with the twists coming in hot. They also sizzle in the bedroom, but there's another complication, his daughter, how she will react when the cat is out of the bag. This story was intense, sexy, sad, dangerous/exciting, and humorous so it was easy to devour in one sitting! I cannot wait for more of this series and HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Seize by Addison Jane 5 stars 4/24/24 Bishop & Shay + Callie
He's the MC President, and much older since he's her best friend's father. He's also hot and the man she thinks about constantly. Too bad it is a one-way feeling--except it isn't. It just takes them quite a while to figure that out.
Shay has a painful history. She's fought hard to overcome and is now a nurse. Staying with her bestie makes it even harder to resist the man she has to resist. Little does she know the feelings of both ways. He is fighting to ignore them. He's too old but his reactions to her are anything but that of an old man.
All the problems of their chemistry only add to the danger she faces. He isn't about to let anyone get to her. As his daughter's friend and with his feelings he vows to make sure she is protected--whatever it takes.
Even as the second book in the series, the characters will capture your heart as much as the couple. You'll see appearances from the previous book. If you haven't read it (I strongly recommend you do).
My only objection is have to wait several months for more from this series.
We loved Shay and Bishop's story as Shay was a fierce fighter who fought for others when they could not fight for themselves. This woman did what was right without even considering the consequences or blowback.
The push and pull between Shay was awesome it was funny to see how they fought the chemistry between them. The chemistry between this couple sizzled even when they weren't together everyone noticed waiting for them both to stop and avoid what was meant to be.
There was a lot at stake for this couple but, what would be gained would be beautiful and destiny. Bishop is a fierce protector and a dangerous man but, around Shay, he seemed softer, and even if she sent the man all off-kilter he was kind loving, and patient. Shay was our favorite character we loved her sense of humor and loyalty. She changed her life and left the old one behind what a brave woman she was.
We loved this one from beginning to end, filled with emotion and suspense, drama, and lives were changed. There was loss and gain, revenge and justice. The characters in this series are quickly becoming some of our favorites.
Seize is book two in the series Exiled Eight MC Detroit Chapter. This is an age gap romance focusing on the MC President Bishop and his daughters best friend Shay. We first met Bishop in the Reign Anthology.
Bishop is protective, loyal, and once you're in his circle he will always have your back. He's assertive, observant and he's intelligent when it comes to reading people. With being in his late 40's he's set in his ways and established.
Shay is a fighter through and through. She has fought through her own personal hell and came out on the other side. She is also fierce, willing to throw herself in the line of fire to protect others, even strangers. She has a big heart and isn't afraid to face trouble head on.
The story was entertaining and the plot contained lots of angst, suspense, a dash of action and drama, and a good mix of spice in the last half of the story. There were some interesting supporting charcaters who captured my attention and I'm hoping we get their stories eventually.
If you’re after an age-gap MC romance that is packed full of drama, grit, suspense, and passion then look no further. Seize, the second book in The Exiled Eight MC - Detroit Chapter brings readers the story of Shay and Bishop.
Shay has had to overcome a lot and is trying to move forward and make something of her life, escaping the darkness of her childhood. Bishop has enough on his plate what with being the President of The Exiled Eight MC - Detroit Chapter the last thing he needs is to be drawn towards Shay, his daughter’s best friend… but he is. The chemistry between them was instantaneous, off the charts yet filled with tension and with danger lurking around the corner putting Shay’s life at risk, can the pair overcome all obstacles facing them?
Prepare to be kept on the edge of your seat with this page-turner of a read, lots of drama, plenty of steam, and a little romance, what more do you need ♥️
Bishop is the president of the Exiled Eight MC, Detroit Chapter. His past isn’t pretty, but he’s made his way in the world and found a family of his choosing. He earned his position as President through the respect and leadership of the club brothers. He’s had his love and isn’t looking to replace Lucy.
Shay had a tragic childhood, but has pulled herself out of the darkness and made a good life for herself. Now she’s a nurse and living a good fulfilling life. However, when her past catches up with her future and she finds that she’s unable to stand by when someone needs help, her life is in danger, again.
I loved the characters as well as the story. An age gap story with characters that shouldn’t be together, but they just can’t fight the pull between them. When danger finds Shay the only person that can protect her will step up and make sure she is safe, however, they will have a battle of their own to fight
They have been dancing around each other and fighting the connection, and they finally got the push they needed. Shay has finally found somewhere to call home, with a best friend and her family that view her as family too,its all she has wanted since her mother was killed. She has a troubled past, making her hesitant to risk her home and family for Bishop, her best friend’s father and the MC president.
When her life is put in danger, partly because of Bishop, he jumps in to protect her, even if that means claiming her as his old lady and admitting to the attraction he has had since he first saw her. Now he just has to figure out how tokeep her safe and how to tell his daughter.
(Note: Bishop met Shay as an adult, he never knew her as underage, for whoever needs to know)
•••i recieved a copy of this book for my honest review, all opinions are my own•••
This is the second book in this incredible series, and this is Bishop and Shay’s story. Bishop is the President of The Exiled Eight MC, and Shay is his daughter’s best friend. Shay is resilient and strong, and has overcome so much in her life, while Bishop is protective and strong, and the attraction between them is undeniable. This is a well written action packed, emotional roller coaster, with family, friendships, loyalty, drama, angst, loyalty, danger, suspense, intrigue, palpable chemistry, an age gap, challenges, humor, witty banter, passion, and love, which leads to an entertaining, tragic, haunting, unpredictable, twisted, and steamy captivating page turner, which had me on tenterhooks throughout. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
When you fall for your best friend’s dad but don’t realise he’s fallen for you too. That’s the position Shay finds herself in with Bishop. She may be the same answer as Calli but she’s an old head on young shoulders, she’s been through so much in her short life losing her mum violently, in foster care with her brother both of them constantly looking over their shoulders waiting for their dad to find them. She’s beaten addiction and got her life turned around, she’s a nurse but her empathy can turn her in to a justice warrior with no regard for her own safety. Bishop lost his wife , Calli’s mum , years ago and never really wanted to get that closer to a woman again. Shay gets under skin, he fights it hard after all she is his daughters best friend and the same age but the universe wants what the universe wants
Shay is trying to make a life for herself that doesn't have all the darkness her childhood had. Bishop is the President of The Exiled Eight MC of Detroit. He has enough going on. he doesn't need this draw to his daughter's best friend. Can these two overcome all obstacles that are lurking around in the dark corners?
Oh. My. Goodness! This book is everything! I felt so many emotions deep in my bones. I was on the edge of my seat for the entirety of this book! Chocked full of suspense, heartache, white-hot passion, loyalty, and love. This book will draw you in immediately. An absolute 5 star read!!
Shay really has had a rough life, but now seems to be in a great place, so it sucks that her life sort of implodes when she does the right thing. The good thing that comes out of this, her crush is finally not a crush, but it takes most of the book for things to be great again. While the bad crap is happening, it's nice that Bishop and the MC have her back, also great is that once Bishop also decides not to fight the crush, they both are all in on a relationship. While things got a bit crazy at the end, the bad guys got what they deserved and Shay and Bishop can now live a happy life together.
My only critique is that I got a bit confused at how the first chapter for Shay is “10 years later” and then the second chapter for Bishop also says “10 years later”. It was a bit confusing at first because I started overthinking and wondering if that mean we were not 20 years from the prologue. As I kept reading I understood that it meant we were starting Shay 10 years from the prologue and then Bishop 10 years from the prologue and they were both now in the same time line.
That being said, I loved Bishop and Shay’s story. Shay’s life hasn’t been easy but she is so strong and brave. I love her character and how much we see her grow and become confident in herself throughout the story. All with the help of her best friend’s father, Bishop. I loved watching these two try and fight their feelings since Bishop is Calli’s father and then soemthing happens and Bishop goes into protective mode. Their story was one of healing and love and it was so good to read. I love that Shay embraces her role in the club and her moments with Rafe as a mother hen were great. I hope we get to see more of those moments in coming books.
3.5*** So much better than I expected. The MCs (Bishop & Shay) were good together and while I would have liked a little more declaration from Bishop, he was more realistically portrayed as MC prez. Shay was of course too weak in many instances (FIGHT BACK!!!), but borderline nasty to Bishop who's protecting her! A good storyline though and really smexy, but I would have at least liked to see Bishop present Shay with a "property" cut (after all, she was still in her 20s and agreeing to not have children because he already had 3 and was much older *eye roll*).
This is the second book in the Exiled Eight MC Detroit Chapter series and Addison Jane already has me hooked. This is Bishop and Shay's story. He's the club's president and she's a nurse with a terrifying past. She also happens to be his daughter's best friend. Addison Jane writes these characters so well. Their stories are so intense. Shay's story will break your heart but she's strong and has overcome so much. Bishop knows he will do everything he can to keep her safe. I love this author's writing style. These books are so good, you just can't put them down.
This is book two and another good story in the series. This book focuses on the President Bishop. He is all alpha but an all around great man. Bishop and his daughter’s BFF from college, Shay, met years ago accidentally in his room. Yes, it’s a good and funny scene. They both did not feel comfortable nor did they want to upset Calliope. Years later, Bishop and Shay can no longer fight their attraction. There is danger lurking and Shay has secrets. There is a happy ending. Read On!
An awesome agegap MC story. I am really enjoying this series. This is number 2 in the The Exiled Eight MC - Detroit series and it can be read as a stand alone. Shay has overcome a lot and doesn't want to lose anyone or thing else and Bishop is the father of her best friend. They work hard to not get together but life gets in the way. Great story, intense, hot and alpha over protective MMA. Loved it.
Seize will capture your attention and heart right from the very start. This age gap MC romance is packed with suspense, drama, angst, grit and passion. Shay has overcome so much in her life and is trying to move forward and not let the darkness drag her back down. The connection between her and Bishop is electric and radiates off the pages with such an intensity. Their story will have you on the edge of your seat right to the very end.
Wow! Shay & Bishop! Loved them! Shay and Cali are best friends. But when Shay steps in the help a young girl at the hospital things take a twist really fast. Bishop, Clai’s dad steps in the help Shay. Shay has always been attracted to Bishop but knows he’s off limits. Things get really twisted teally fast when Shay’s life is on the line. Can Bishop and the MC protect her? What lengths will they go to in order to keep her safe.
Addison Jane made her series Exiled Eight Mc all about family and what we would do for our family. Bishop and Shay's story is just all about family. Bishop denied his feelings for a long time for Shay due to her being his daughter Callie's best friend. But when Shay was in danger they both admitted their feelings. The book is packed full of danger, love and family. So I can't wait for the next book.
Holy cow Addison Jane did an amazing job with this book. Definitely read triggers before devouring it cause there is a few. If triggers don't bother you, this book is well worth it. I definitely recommend reading in order cause the characters do align in each book. I don't like to give spoilers but I will say this book has suspense, drama and spicy. Definitely an age gap book.
Is one of my most favorite MC series don’t care if it’s the Detroit chapter or the Las Vegas one it’s great reading. Now if it goes to audible maybe Addison Jane will have Zachary Webber/Jacob Morgan narrate it! Sexy voice and he reads the female characters perfectly, it doesn’t sound high octave silly.
