My family betrayed me.
Tossed me out onto the street at seventeen.
But with a reputation to keep, my parents decided they would rather see their daughter homeless than have my teenage pregnancy taint the perfect façade they’d created.
I swore I’d never again let another person close enough to hurt my little girl or me.
Yet, every wall I built, he smashed straight through.

Hawk wasn’t just the VP of The Exiled Eight MC in Detroit.
He was alluring.
He was possessive.
And the scars that decorated his skin told the story of a dark past.
A past that was still lurking in the shadows, threatening to destroy everything I loved.

I was ready to fight for us.
I’d battled my own demons before.
But if they came for my family, I was going to start a war.

This surprised me with how much I liked it 😊

Even though this was kinda insta for me, I did like both the hero and heroine from the get-go. Little Kayden was a cutie, and i liked all the side characters. The drama kept me intrigued and I was invested in the couple’s HEA.

I will say, however, that Grace stole the show for me. She is the hero’s twin sister and I really liked seeing their dynamic. I just wanted more. I was hoping her and her kids would find themselves in the clubhouse and she would get her HEA but her story ended up playing out a different way. Still, I hope she finds her way to the club and becomes a heroine in her own book 👍

I wasn't sure what to expect from this one with how it started, despite reading the original Exiled Eight series. I was glad that someone was there to save Hawk and get him out of that place of hell!

Hawk as a grown up was about what I expected and I mean that in a good way. I really liked how he had Missy's back from the start and did what he could to help her. He showed her time and time again that he was there for her and Kadey. It was great how Hawk was with Kadey too, she had him wrapped around her finger and he loved it!

The drama with Hawk's past and his present colliding had me clenching my jaw as I read. You could see what was coming and hoping that you were wrong. I'm glad that Hawk was there to help in the aftermath of things and save things from happening too.

The ending to this one made me smile, loved seeing how this trio was happy living their lives.

Great story!!

This is the first book in a new series and this is Hawke and Missy's story. This is a well written story which has emotions, humor, suspense, intrigue, danger, witty banter, loyalty, and love which all leads to a steamy and thrilling page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

I thought I'd read this, but I had not! I do love a cheeky find! Especially when it's an author I love.

Missy is a mom. She would go to the ends of the earth to protect her baby and she did just that when she rocked up on a MC with a bat in hand and aimed for the shins of a man who dared to scare her daughter. Unknowingly.. but that is beside the point.
This woman is everything I love. She's strong, independent, and kind. She's not unrealistically dramatic or deliberately obtuse. She knew what she was getting herself into, and she jumped in because she knew she wanted to be someone's universe, not just a moment in time.

Hawk is delightful. He's gruff and takes no shit but he's kind and thoughtful. He took one look at Missy and knew exactly what Bishop said was truth. You'll know when you meet the right one. He didn't even try to fight the pull to this woman and her sweet baby. I am always here for a man who knows what he wants and not only denys it but also makes not having her an option.

I loved them. I can't put into words how much. It was easy to love them because they just fit together. The chemistry is fire, and the way their journey developed is perfection.

Then their is little Kadey who stole the show with her larger than life personality.
The way she had those grown ass criminals wrapped around her finger... I cannot the sweetness of it all.

Now Bishops book!!!!! Give me that baby.

I was surprised by how much I loved this book and it meant could overlook certain things like the insta love as Missy and Hawk were both amazing MCs and likeable

I loved the back story with the valley and grace and how Bishop saved him but would like to know more about his story too

Good start to new series

I liked Missy and Hawk. Hawk is a biker and he feels a pull to Missy right away. Hawk has a crazy past. Kadey adds some kid spunk yo the storyline. I didn't spline how Missy supposedly put her daughter ahead of everyone else but she has sex with a strange biker right away. The other Exiled Eight series stopped after just two books. I hope this ends up with books for all the MC members.

Sacrifice was the perfect way to end 2022! It grabs your attention from the first page and doesn’t let go until the very end, and even afterwards, you still feel it’s hold on you for a while afterwards.

As much as I absolutely devour anything Addison Jane related, the blurb left me quite skeptical. The badass heroine is increasingly hard to get right imo. There’s a fine line between badass and TSTL. I was praying the heroine wasn’t the later. Of course, Addison Jane would never do me dirty so thankfully Missy was the former and had me kicking my own butt for doubting her the whole time.

Missy & Hawk just gelled so seamlessly. Missy is a strong, independent single mother who has done whatever she has to over the years to care for her daughter, Kadey. What I loved most about Missy was her intelligence and tenacity. She fought and scraped for everything she loved, including her new man, but she didn’t shy away from accepting help when it was needed or offered. Hawk was my book boyfriend of the month. He was protective, charming, sexy and a great step dad to Kadey from the beginning. I live for a “touch her and die” hero who can turn right back around and love on his woman and her kid. Speaking of Kadey, she was absolutely adorable. For those worried the kid would be a useless addition to make the FMC seem more relatable or vulnerable, have no fear because she was perfectly involved in the story and the characters. Plus, she acted and spoke age appropriately, you don’t see that much these days.

It wasn't necessarily insta love, but sometimes you just know and let life happen naturally and guide you where it needs you to be. Missy and Hawk were made for each other. The humor, the chemistry, the love and support, it was all there in spades.

Everything from the plot to the pacing to the spicy scenes to the action was on point. I knew after the first chapter that Bishop would be getting his own book and I am dying for it! I also wouldn’t mind a book about Grace, Hawk’s twin sister. Despite her reassurances, I’m not entirely convinced she’ll stay in her current situation. It would be really interesting to see if she leaves and gets with someone in the MC.

A great start to a new MC series

I never know what I’m getting into when I start a new MC series. Some have a great storyline, but terrible writing. Some are written well, but the story is awful. And so many are just plain bad. But then you stumble across the ones that remind you why you like this genre. This book fit that for me.

Hawk and Missy both had horrible back stories. He was raised in a cult that tried to kill him before he was rescued as a child. She was kicked out as a pregnant 17 yo for daring to cast her family in a negative light, which would impact her father’s political aspirations. She’s fought to raise and care for her daughter, working nights as a stripper to make ends meet. Both of their lives change trajectories when Hawk and Missy meet unexpectedly. She’s a fierce strong momma bear, and has no problem standing up to protect her daughter. Hawk is taken with her immediately and feels protective over her and her daughter. The Prez’s daughter tells Missy “they don’t date. The meet their one, and that’s it”. And that’s exactly right. It’s pretty insta love, but not the eye roll kind. Maybe more insta attraction that doesn’t take too long to develop into love. It’s not particularly dark, but enough that the MC aspect is written well. There’s conflict with the cult, but no unnecessary conflict or angst (no OW/OM drama).

Overall I call this series a win, if this book is any indication how the rest of the series will go!

Hawk and Missy

This was a pretty mild MC romance. There were no club girls hanging around, the threat was contained to Missy and her daughter and didn’t stem from the club, and while there was violence, it wasn’t as dark as I’ve come to expect from other MC series.

Both Missy and Hawk had tragic pasts. Missy was thrown out by her parents when she got pregnant at 17 and Hawk was almost killed by his father when he questioned the teachings of the cult his family was a part of. Their pasts definitely influenced their present and when they meet, it’s like a puzzle piece fitting just right.

Missy had been fighting to take care of her daughter for the last four years, and she had some major trust issues with men. But Hawk surprised her at every turn. It was hard to let go of all the responsibility and let Hawk shoulder some of it, but it was exactly what she needed. The relationship Hawk formed with Missy’s daughter Kadey was endearing. He was a tattooed, tough, alpha MC VP and he was taken down by a four year old.

The drama with the cult brought some great suspense to the book. It brought out Hawk’s protective side and he was able to get his revenge in the end.

Overall, this was a good, entertaining read. It was well written and had some pretty spicy scenes.

Hawk has looked death in the eye and not blinked. Raised in a cult, he is rescued from a deadly punishment by his uncle Bishop, president of the Detroit chapter of the Exiled Eight. Hawk remains in touch with his sister, Grace, who has chosen to remain with the cult. Hawk is happily single until he meets Missy. Missy is an Ecdysiast with a small daughter whom she shares with an ebil ex. Missy was thrown out of her parents’ house when she was a pregnant teenager because she didn’t fit the image her parents were trying to project. So both Hawk and Missy understand not measuring up to the unreasonable demands of strict families.
Family and Found Family are a large part of the theme of this book. Hawk has a mix of both: his uncle and his sister are still his family, while his brother definitely is not. Yet his true family is the family he has made within the Exiled Eight and later with Missy.
Missy has always had to work hard to provide for her daughter and herself, and her ex when they were still together. Missy is desperate because her ex sold the EpiPen their daughter needs (severe egg allergy). It bothers me that later in the book Missy describes him as a good dad, like the EpiPen episode, his verbal abuse to Missy in front of their daughter, and his deadbeat status are somehow cancelled out because of one moment of decent parenting. The EpiPen episode in particular bothered me.
Old sins cast long shadows when Hawk’s past collides with Missy’s present. And Hawk has to face his fears to save her.
I thought the MCs were relatable, and that Hawk and Missy made a good match. And the cult plot was exciting too, and not just because I find cults fascinating. Overall, an entertaining book.
Book is SAFE.
Heat is EXPLICIT.
TRIGGERS include violence, language, nudity, religious abuse, and herpetoids.
TROPES include Culting Edge, Adorable Moppet, Instalove, Single Mom.

Sacrifice is book one in the brand new series Exiled Eight MC Detroit Chapter. A sneak peak was originally published in the second addition Twisted Steel Anthology. And we first met Hawk and Bishop in the Reign Anthology. This is Hawk and Missy's journey.

Hawk is the MC's Vice President. He is fierce, protective, loyal, and once you're in his circle he will always have your back. He takes no crap, he's demanding and bossy, but we do get a glimpse of his vulnerable side with Missy.

Missy is totally bada$$. I think she may have surpassed Addison's previous heroines. She was a fighter through and through and I loved how she took a swing at ANYBODY who crossed the line with her or her daughter. She def has heart and is old lady material.

The plot was loaded with grit, action, violence, angst, suspense, and a dash of humor. I would love to see Huntsman and Bishop together for a day ha ha. Those two with blunt, stoic personalities would be something lol. I must say I was disappointed on Grace's decision, but it is what it is.

This was an awesome start to a new series. I would have loved a second epilogue seeing Hawk, Missy, and Kady a lot farther into the future, but that's just me being greedy! I have no doubt we will see more of them in the next book.

What a ride! This book was so absorbing, right from the first page and it grasped you with both hands fully latched on until the last page because it was that good.

Missy was one strong young female lead character, I really liked her and my heart felt so much for her with her past trauma and then everything she went through in the story. She showed such fortitude and so many times too.

Hawk was a terrific character too, he was what he was and didn’t pretend to be anyone else. His past had a dreadful incident that made my heart break for him too. As VP of the Exiled Eight MC, Detroit chapter, he has come a long way with good insight into people and situations. He was definitely an alpha male and extremely protective but also someone people felt safe around.

This was definitely an instant attraction, and love to be honest, but there was so much that happened it didn’t seem strange at all that they’d gravitated towards each other. There’s so much action and drama that there was never a dull moment and I loved every bit of it. I can’t wait for the next book in this series.

Hot MC Romance with twist

This story is entertaining, fun, sexy, and has a bit of darkness that will fully satisfy your needs. This book introduces the men of the Exiled Eight MC and we learn Hawk & Missy’s story. Hawk grew up in a cult and he was rescued by his Uncle Bishop who is the Prez of the MC. Hawk has only stayed close to his sister Grace but she is still with the Valley and he only gets to see her occasionally. Something is going on with the Valley and they are threatening everyone that Hawk cares about. He won’t let them harm anyone he loves. Missy and her daughter Kadey are trying to survive together by making ends meet as best as possible but when she meets Hawk her whole world is turned upside down in a good way. However, Hawk’s past could jeopardize everything but he’s going to protect them no matter what. You will thoroughly enjoy this wild ride! Great intro to this amazing series. Happy Reading!!

Entertaining Story

This is the first book I've read by this author. It was a Kindle suggestion and since I'm from Metro Detroit I was intrigued. It was made pretty obvious throughout the story that the author knew little to nothing about the Detroit area, but that was pretty much my only complaint.
The characters were well developed and the story flowed smoothly. The cult aspect was very interesting and kept me intrigued. The spicy scenes were hot and perfectly placed. I need spice in my stories, but hate when authors use it as filler and it becomes redundant. In this book the spice amped up the story.
There were some editing errors but nothing major that distracted from the storyline. I will definitely be moving forward in the series and already have the next book in the added to my TBR.

"I don't know how the hell the universe decided a bastard like me deserved to have you show up with your fucking bat that day," he rasped, the low whisper thick with emotion. "But God fucking help them if they ever figure out it was a mistake and try and take you from me."

So glad I found this MC series but I was not surprised because I know the author can write killer stories with plot, angst, and steam intertwined with characters that are easy to love. Hawk, the VP of Exiled Eight MC Detroit Chapter met Missy and was immediately drawn to her because of her strength and determination for herself and her daughter. It was quite a whirlwind with a hint of soulmate vibe between the MCs but surprisingly, it didn't bother me because of how the author executed their attraction- focusing not only on the physical level but emotional as well. Hawk was deeply into her and he really took care of her and her daughter. Also, one of the steamiest scene I read in a while.

This great story was intriguing, full of suspense and drama, tons of hotness, a cast of amazing characters, and one full of surprises.

Missy and Hawk had this amazing chemistry right from the moment they met their romance was full throttle from the moment they met and Missy is no pushover that woman can hold her own and would make a perfect old lady for Hawk. Missy daughter was a little heartbreaker we fell in love with that sweet little girl from the moment we started turning the pages.

Hawk was a swoony character who was protective, dominant, sweet, kind, and deadly. Hawk and Missy's courtship was full throttle from the moment he met and considering Hawk's past this was surprising but, he said when you know you know so why waste time?

We loved it! The plot's twist is amazing!

Sacrifice is a dark and gritty romance featuring a single mother. Missy is working her butt off to provide for her four year old daughter. When her protective nature gets woken up then she can be brutal. She's been on her own since she was a teenager so she's used to being the one in charge. But she instantly finds herself backing down to Hawk and letting him take care of her daughter and herself. So it's a bit insta-love. But for a romance about a single mom (with an adorable daughter) and a high-up member of a motorcycle club, it hit all the right notes.

Trigger Warning: planned sexual assault

I have been waiting for this book! I am never disappointed with anything Addison Jane writes and this was so worth the wait! I first found Hawk in the Twisted Steel Second edition Anthology. This is the introduction to the Detroit chapter of the Exiled Eight MC. Hawk had a dark past that he was lucky to escape. Missy is a strong spirited single mom who will do whatever it takes for her daughter Kadey. His past comes back with a vengeance. I couldn't put this book down and I am so excited for the next book in the series! Another great book from Ms. Jane! Well done!

Sacrifice

Another great story from the author starting out in a new Exiled Eight series. This focuses on Hawk and Missy. It sets the scene focusing on Hawk as a child and his life in a religious cult. It then switches to present day and him meeting Missy.
It’s a great story as always, I found it a little disturbing in parts but it’s written in such a way that you know a HEA is in the cards.
It introduces a number of interesting characters for future stories too.
A good read and I can’t wait for the rest.

Hawk & Missy

Sacrifice another great book by Addison Jane. I really love the world Addison Jane creates with main characters and support characters, insta attraction, angst, a bit of graphic violence, bad guys, MC family not to forget an adorable little girl named Kayden. Life is not black or white, which this story demonstrated in more than one way, I would love to read Grace's story someday. Hawk & Missy's chemistry was of the charge. Got to say Hawk got extra points for the way he cared for Kayden. Enjoy

Wordy

Ok here we go. This book was great. Though it seemed a little on the wordy side, like maybe they wanted to make the book longer but it didn't need it. Some books, even if they're short, can still get their point across. Still loved the book. Was kinda wishing for more of an epilogue than what was given but you can't win them all I guess. Definitely looking forward to the next though! Would definitely recommend, just remember to breathe because it's wordy. Lol. On to the next!

GREAT READ!!!
This may be the first book I've read by this author but definitely not the last. As a matter of fact, I already have the second book in this series downloaded. I think this is a great start to what is sure to be an amazing series. The characters are well written. They just come to life within the pages. Hawk and Missy's story is quite interesting. He's the VP of the Detroit chapter of the Exiled Eight MC and she's a feisty single mom. Together, they are on fire 🔥🔥🔥 This book is gritty. It's intriguing and it will definitely keep you turning the pages to see what happens next. Addison Jane will lure you in from page one. I loved this one and can highly recommend it.

This story was not what I expected but turned out to be the best unexpected gem that I have read all year. Although it is a romance, it is so much more. It is about two people who are survivors with one being a mom from a young age that was disowned and the other grew up in a religious compound that tried to kill him for questioning their religion and being rescued by his uncle who happened to be in an MC. It is about learning to be okay in life and thriving and meeting your dreams. I can’t wait to see where the next book takes this story.
