Shortly after Kelvin’s promotion to the coveted position of Rank S adventurer, the militaristic country of Trycen declared war on the entire Eastern Continent. In addition to launching an invasion of its neighboring countries, their infamous Dragon Knight Order is now closing in on Parth, led by Crown Prince Azgrad himself. The only thing standing between this dreadful host of warriors and ancient dragons — exceptionally powerful members of their mighty race — and the City of Peace is the Summoner’s determined companions and allies, who have been given the task of buying time until reinforcements arrive. At the same time, Tristan Faaze, the general of the Magic Knight Order, is hatching a terrible plot within Trycen itself, targeting Shutola, the princess and general of the Black Ops, who weeps for her country’s fate. Come along for the ride as this black-clad Grim Reaper and his battle junkie friends clash with the Demon Lord in the fifth volume of this epic journey!
I'm really enjoying the story has less of humor has a little bit of World building and some stats but not overly. I like the characters you should have their own personalities there's humor tongue and cheek humor as well and there's a little bit of romance but it's glossed over. what I really enjoy with this author's writing is that it has a little bit of information of the characters what they're thinking but it's not overly done to the point of where all there is is why they did this and why they did that which to my opinion is just nothing but filler and it takes away from the story this author does not write in that platform like a lot of other light novelists do. .
Soooooo first off, no five star rating for me as this book was just... what? We know who the demon lord is? The heroes that were summoned specifically to fight him are not here? And we are fighting the demon... and it is over? Already? huh?
This book throws the demon lord at you so fast that what is normally the culmination of an entire series just happens. Turns out that the demon lord was just a starting to an entirely new plot that is beginning.
The story was just okay as it feels like it should have been a bit longer. However, please read the author's note at the end, I could not stop laughing. For me the book just flew and it didn't feel long enough for the content written, but the author was like "whew!" that was a long one!!
Everything but the kitchen sink... Dragons, Demon Lord, mind control, goddess, demon, etc. You would think that would make for great excitement. WRONG! It made for a series of trivial events leading NOWHERE.
The author's bad habit of explaining every fight seen to the nth degree is getting worse! I think that 2/3rds of the book is battle description! That does NOT make for a great book.
The individual character development is way over powered and not even remotely interesting.
This was a great step in this book series. Huge battles and advancing romances makes this very entertaining. Will be looking forward to the next one and I really hope they turn this into anime.
I'm loving this book. It's not only rooted up what the other books had going, it's introduced a whole new set of stories and it hand me on the edge of my seat the entire time, leaning of with one heel of a cliff hammer.
This is supposed to be a Game like environment, but the gasification quite bad here. All of the Summons already reached level S and the progression became slower here.
Action packed entertaining story, a bit cliche perhaps and, in all honesty, a bit too action packed for my liking. I did flip through some of the action scenes. Ends in a bit of a cliff-hanger as well.
