I received an ARC of this book in order to check for translation errors from Russian to English. I thought that it was extremely well done. I don't really understand the one star review that said it was child writing. There's base building, merchant type stuff, skill training, plenty of fighting, and lots of loot. Personally I think that the author gets better with every book that he writes. I'm eagerly waiting for the next book.
I love the character focus of Dem’s books. They just seem so alive. There are hints that Crow and Ros’ stories may be converging at some point. Exciting!
General disclaimer: I want to be clear in that I do not factor cost into any review and as such, this is simply a reflection of my enjoyment of the book and in no way reflects cost to value analysis.
