Flower Sisters #4

Daisy: A Timeless Love

Rate this book
Daisy Baker has a kind heart, a fierce mind, and a brave spirit. Those qualities were what caught the attention of firefighter, Ayden Parker. Every Wednesday at noon for two years straight, they meet the same way, inside of Luxe Flower Boutique, where Ayden makes the same purchase each time. One question, complimentary flowers, and a promise was all it took to shift the dynamic between the two. And right before their eyes, a romance began to bloom.

*Please note, this is book four of a five part interconnected series. Though each book is a standalone, some parts of the storyline are ongoing.

“We are family now Ayden. You don’t have to be alone anymore.”

3.75 - Not favorite book but still good. Daisy is a sweetheart that loves her family and found deeply. So I’m glad we got more of her family’s story and the drama at the cookout had me like 🫣😯🥊. Lori had to handle business. Now the mmc, Ayden, his story was more so the main focus and that had me glued in. Like how Asia put his feelings on display for the hope of family and being expected. There were some reconnections that had me smiling. Sometimes you just need a person to be soft and secure place for you land while seeing you for who you are. Flaws and all.

3.5-4 stars Honestly, the romance was a little boring to me. The 3rd act conflict between the MCs was flimsy. That said, I liked the mmc, and there was satisfying development in the family drama/dynamic that has been built up during the series.

Daisy: A Timeless Love by Asia Monique is about florist Daisy Baker and fireman Ayden Parker. These two had me in my feelings. Ayden goes into Daisy’s flower shop every Wednesday at noon for 2 years before Daisy makes her move. When the story starts Ayden and Daisy have been dating for 2 months. It’s sweet that although Ayden is guarded he still puts himself out there for Daisy. Aiden works long shifts and in between sleep he makes time for Daisy. I love their Wednesday night dates and talks in the driveway. The time they out in together is quality no surprise there as quality time is Daisy’s love language. This story has so much love in it! Asia Monique does such a great job with world building, connecting stories and making each character unique. This is a great addition to the flower sisters series.

I don’t care if these books are formulaic, I’m thoroughly enjoying them. I love the fiercely strong women and the sister bond and the men that love them because of and in spite of all of that. Enjoyable, easy read.

Not a perfect love but a love they both needed. I enjoyed the purity of how Ayden love Daisy. It was very sweet.

So heartfelt! This one pulled me in right from the beginning, and made me wonder what was wrong with Ayden. Daisy was so careful with him, and protected him from everyone, not letting anyone get too close until he felt comfortable. Then the truth was revealed as to why he was so guarded. My heart broke for him and all that he had endured in his life. Daisy wanted to show him that family and love exist, and that it was possible for him to experience it. Ayden stepped outside of his comfort zone, and allowed himself to be vulnerable to show Daisy how much he cared for her. The way that they both took time with each other, knowing the others insecurites was beautiful. Daisy always the one who takes care of everyone else, began to see cracks in her foundation while tending to Ayden. The issues that she had not dealt with from her childhood, were now rearing their ugly heads, threatening to ruin her happiness. Wow! Glad we finally got to the bottom of what was going on with Aunt Lori. However, it was awful the way that it was discovered by the sisters. You were absolutely right about this couple being special. My heart squeezed a lot during this story, as I could feel the emotions of these characters so strongly. Great job, and looking forward to Blossom's story.

Daisy: A Timeless Love” by Asia Monique is a heartwarming tale of love, family, and resilience. Set against the backdrop of a bustling florist business, this novel introduces us to Daisy, the fourth of six sisters in the Flower family. Daisy is a dynamic character; a successful florist who balances her professional ambitions with a deep sense of responsibility for those around her. Her strength and feistiness are palpable throughout the narrative.

The story takes an intriguing turn with the introduction of Ayden, a mysterious firefighter who frequents Daisy’s shop. Ayden is a complex character, shaped by a life of trauma and isolation. Despite his guarded nature, a romance blossoms between him and Daisy, offering a tender exploration of love’s power to heal and connect.

Monique skillfully weaves a narrative that is as much about family bonds as it is about romantic love. The Flower sisters’ dynamics add a rich layer to the story, making it relatable and heartening. Daisy’s journey to help Ayden accept love and find a sense of belonging with her family is touching and beautifully portrayed.

However, the novel also delves into the weighty issues of coping with past trauma and the fear of vulnerability in relationships. Ayden’s struggle with his past adds depth to the narrative, making their romance more than just a simple love story. It’s about breaking down walls and building trust, themes that are thoughtfully explored by the author.

Two imperfect people with insecurities meet and fall in love to fill a void in each other's lives. That what Ayden and Daisy were even when they hit a bump in the road. I love how they had family that loved them and gave them good, sound advice to get them back on track. I like how Ayden and Ezra had already knew each other and reconnected back close again. I can't wait until Lennox and Magnolia have their son and I think that Brandon and Juniper are pregnant. I can't wait to read more about what Devin and Lily got going on. My heart really goes out to Aunt Lori and what she went through and I really can't stand Francesca with her drama and bitterness. I can't wait to read Roman and Blossom's story next.

Every time I think I have a favorite sister, we are introduced to another one. This was such and emotional journey; however it was so well written, and heartfelt. I love the whole sisterhood vibe and how the men in their life interact with each other. Of course the chemistry is off the charts, with laughter and a little family drama thrown in the mix. Really enjoying the series so far.

Love those Flower Sisters. I really enjoyed Ayden and Daisy's story. I am so glad that Ayden learned to open up more and realized that he does have a family. Glad that Daisy got over her fears and that they worked everything out and Ayden and he learned more about himself and his family. 🙂🙂

Don't take Us for granted

Daisy and Ayden's Love was a struggle to get to, yet once they truly let all the barriers fall, it seeped in effortlessly.

Being that Daisy was an empath, she seemed to always want to help others, feeling what they felt and wanting to turn their frown upside down. The only problem is that she didn't face her own issues or take real good care of her. I love that she had such passion and care for Ayden. He really just needed love; consistent, unbreakable, unshakable love and she thought she could give him that. By helping him find anyone that was blood related to him, by any means necessary, was a wonderful show of her love for him. What I was hoping was that she would see that she was more than enough for him and get over her fears. I'm so glad she had her sisters, mainly Juniper, to call her on her BS. These Flower sisters are the real deal. I Love It!

Ayden was such a broken soul. I hate that he ensured so much pain and lose at such a young age, yet glad he found a brief friendship in Ezra and Jaseer in High school. Once they connected again as adults, there was no turning back for Ezra; man I love Ezra. Once all the other men in Ayden's life really got to see who he was as a person, they too considered him as their brother; something Ayden truly needed. A family of his own. Seeing and being with Daisy and her family and friends really opened him up to seeing that he could have a non-related family; people who would and could be there for him and not be taken away or leave him. I love that his fire-fighter co-workers saw him as a big brother, even with his stand off ways. Learning that his deceased mom had a sister, was an overflowing feeling. Daisy and Brandon went above and beyond to help Ayden and I loved that. I think that Ayden and Daisy will have a lot to work through, yet they'll be just fine.

That Francesca, Lily's mom, was something else. Just bitter and she got what was coming to her by airing Aunt Lori's business/secret. I hate that it happened at Lily's graduation party, yet it was bound to happen soon enough. Lori got hands and I bet Francesca will think twice before running her mouth again.

This was another good story. 4 sisters down, 2 to go. Highly recommend this series.

I listened to Flower Sisters Book #4 "Daisy" by Asia Monique, Narrated by Mari and Winston James via Audiobook. I've previously read #1, #2 and #3.

Daisy Baker and Ayden Parker love story is so cute. I can't believe Ayden went into Daisy's flower shop for 2 years before they both moved on the connection they both felt.

Ayden had such a hard upbringing and I totally understand how he stayed to himself. It is funny to me he never noticed the people around him actually cared about him.

I'm glad Daisy had her Sister's, especially Juniper, to tell her about herself early in her mistake so she didn't lose a good man.

I love how Daisy shared her family with Ayden and was determined to find Ayden's family so she worked with her Brother-in-law, Brandon. I know Ayden will always cherish how Daisy connected him with his Mom's Sister.

Ezra (Lilac's Boyfriend) is hilarious to me. Every time he popped up he had me laughing, especially when he cussed out Ayden and then hung the phone in his face but called him back twice because he forgot to mention details.

I'm glad the Flower Sisters finally learned why Aunt Lori moved to New York. In addition, I loved how they were their for their Sister, Lily.

Time will heal!!!

Daisy was the strong sister and always took on other people problems, but her own. When Daisy and Ayden starts to get more serious, they both have doubts. Ayden, has never had a family to call his own and when Daisy instroduces him to hers, he is overwhelmed, but decide to give it a try. Spending time with each other and getting to know each other more, their feelings become more, but Daisy feels like the other shoe will drop. After a huge family blow up in front of Aden, Daisy calls it quits and Ayden was ok with it. Missing Ayden and her sister pressuring her to face her fears, Daisy decided to go get her man back. Ayden and Daisy story was an emotional one, but I loved it just as much. They both had issues of losing people, but they faced them head on and it made them better people in the end. I was so happy when Daisy helped find family for Ayden. Man this series is so good and this one didn't disappoint. I can't wait to see what happens with the other sisters!! Need a great read, read them all, they won't disappoint!!

Daisy and Ayden

This installment was really good. I definitely preferred it over Juniper's story. I appreciate the little bit of conflict Ayden and Daisy encountered. The hero's sadness and brokenness could be felt throughout the words. But I appreciated his effort and I love how laid-back he was. I'm glad we know about Lori, finally, which sucked.
The things that was super aggravating for me were mistakes. Punctuation, grammar, and misspelled words. Usually I try to overlook these things, but there were so many it kind of bothered me. I really want to keep reading on this author but I'm worried about the editing because it kind of took away from the story for me because I do think she's a great storyteller.

Family is not always blood....

Another great read by Ms. Asia. This book seems to be more in-depth with the guy this time. I like how Ayden's story came to the light. He really overcame his past by starting a relationship with Daisy. She gave him the push he needed to open up and just start accepting people in his life. It is amazing how each flower sister is internalizing, healing from their father's actions and death. Daisy was hurting just like her three older sisters but just handle it totally different.

This was a wonderful read. I love how the family Ayden had was not blood. His crew members and high school friends were like his brothers. He has all of the flower sisters and their friends as his sisters. I would definitely recommend so download and enjoy.

Quality Time

Ayden and Daisy!! This love story had me in my feelings for sure. Daisy, the tough sister, I was waiting to get to her story. Her love language was quality time. Asia did a great job channeling the feelings of Daisy and Aiden. My heart was breaking for both of them throughout the story. I don’t think Ayden gave himself enough credit, he was everything and then some. I loved that we got to see more from the male point of view in this book. Ayden’s flaws made him so relatable. I was rooting for him to let his guard down. It was obvious that these two needed each other but it seemed like they were afraid at times. But in the end true love conquered it all.

The journey for Ayden and Daisy was so beautiful. It was filled with so much love and desire along with a sense of belonging and acceptance.

The author has done another great job of using a love language to pen a journey to love despite the bad things one has endured in their past. The pairing of the couples have been spot on as well.

The picture of what a family truly is versus what is often perceived tugged at my heart in this story. Daisy and Ayden may have missed out on the physical presence of their parents but their bond filled every void.

My heart is so full after reading this one.

My Fave!

After witnessing my first encounter of Daisy & Ayden’s exchange, him pulling up hopping off of the fire truck to see her & rubbing his thumb over her hand. I’d been HOOKED & anticipating their full story! I’d been waiting to get to this book but I had to get through Lennox, Ezra, & Brandon.
FINALLY!!
This story did not disappoint, in the least! This author knows how to write about GOOOOOOD Black romantic fiction that true fans of the genre can enjoy fully.

Intense and passionate

This was a very intense and passionate love story between two broken people who wanted love so bad but was afraid to let go and experience the love they desires because of fear from what happened to them in their childhood.
A love like Daisy and Ayden’s will stand the rest of time once they let go of the fear and their past. The hurt and trauma that this couple experienced was palpable, real, and spoke to me on a very personal level. Though it is a story, the feeling and emotions they experienced were very real to me.

It was good.

However, Daisy had me so upset when she was acting all silly and pushing Ayden away. I love Ayden. Now Ezra is my boy. You talking about personality for days, that’s definitely him. Magnolia is my least favorite! She had the nerve to talk about people being closed off and she’s the queen of being guarded. Anyway, I enjoyed Ms. Monique‘a books as always. It’s good to take a break from all of the ratchetness of the other romance novels.

This was my favorite read from the sisters so far. Daisy, a flower shop owner, has a customer come buy flowers every Wednesday, with little interaction. But one day, he speaks up, which led to a date & the a love story. Ayden, a firefighter, was in and out of different foster homes up until college, so he has trouble with opening up and trusting people. Ayden and Daisy make for such an enjoyable love story, definitely not an easy one though.

I'm not sure how I feel about Daisy Baker & Aydan Parker's story because Mari was narrating & she sounds too old to voice young Daisy's character. It made it difficult to focus on what the characters had going on because I had been distracted by Mari's narrating.
I think at this point I just might have tolerated Nicole Small's narration OVER Mari's--THAT IS, AS LONG AS SOMEONE ELSE WAS NARRATING THE MALE CHARACTER(S)INSTEAD OF MS. SMALL!
