Summary: This guide has useful tips and strategies to understanding a child with ADHD. Book used simple terms and focused on the positives and strengths of a child with ADHD.
My Thoughts: It presented as “If you do this, then everything will get better”. Which could absolutely be true but it felt like the guide was a one size fits all for all children with ADHD. I liked the concept of using play to help create teachable moments with children with ADHD. I later went on to play Snakes and Ladders with my son and saw how much of a challenge this simple game was for him.
I felt like I knew most the strategies and suggestions already so this might be more helpful for a parent who is less aware of ADHD.
