He's got a brand new job working maintenance for a beauty salon. But with his long hair, feminine features, and gentle demeanor, maybe Alex can be of use in other ways...After quitting his horrible job at a hardware store, Alex is free but aimless. To cheer him up, his older sister, Grace, surprises him with a pick-me-up trip to the salon for a much-needed haircut. Though what was only meant to be a simple trim results in an unexpected job offer as the salon's new in-house maintenance man. Alex must adjust to his new job surrounded by constant feminine energy, all while crushing hard on the salon's cute, young owner -- and her insistence that he test out some of their services...Jennifer Sweet returns with another gradual feminization novel about identity, experimentation, and the ups and downs of discovering a new side of yourself.

OK. Second Jennifer Sweet novel in three days. I’m hooked. My new favorite author for great characters, plot, romance, and several levels of affirmation. Bella in ‘Maybe you’ll like it’ and Trinity in ‘lend me’ are the partners or friends or collaborators I have yearned for or aspired to be all my life. I love the strong females and main trans characters. As someone who grew up attracted to woman while at the same time feeling a much closer affinity to their strengths, clothes, beauty products, and the deeper aspects of femininity these stories are all I want to read. I’m on an extended vacation on Isla Mujeres so I am glad she is prolific. Thanks Jennifer!
I am a big fan of Jennifer Sweet. Her writing is so comfortable and fun. I waited for this book for a month. Now, I am sad it’s over.
Alex is a young handyman. When he walked into the salon with his sister, he had no idea how that appointment would change his life. This is a story of family, friends, and love. I won’t say how it ends, but it is bittersweet. This is a great book to read. I really hope you will choose to read it, but read slowly, because if you’re like me, you’ll be sad when you finish it.
What go around comes around. A wonderful story of feminization and love and acceptance.
I liked this story of feminization love, friendship, understanding, and mending broken lives. Alex/ Lexi had the ups and downs in life of a trans woman struggle in her relationship in life. I fought through this myself so I understand everything she went through. Life is not all easy but growth is not without pain. But if you believed in yourself great things can happen. It is the path that Alex/ Lexi took that life can be awesome. But not all stories end with a outcome like this one!!! A great story to get our head into and fun to read. I give it a thumbs up.......
Alex has long hair. His mother divorced his father because his father cheated on her.
Alex has just lost his job at a hardware store.
Grace, his sister, takes him to a beauty salon to get his hair done. There's a problem with one of the chairs, though, and Alex promptly fixes it. Grace is a lesbian and her love interest is a woman called Tamara.
He's offered a job to be a janitor at the salon and do other things as needed. Over time people who work there, like Bella, fill him in on how to do salon-related things like nails, facials and makeup.
He ends up as a receptionist, though, upon the condition that he wears female clothes. He already is effeminate in appearance to that should work out rather well.
The women who work there really have fun fixing Alex up as a woman and even give him the new name Lexi.
There's also one woman at the salon that Alex really, really likes.
The boss, though, is not the nicest person in the world and that leads to a lot of difficulties for everyone there.
I really liked this book. All the characters are believable, the events make sense, the flow of the store makes sense and the ending is good. Very enjoyable book.
The authors have outdone themselves with Maybe You'll Like It.
Alex is an androgynous 22 year old who finds himself unemployed and, through an odd interaction with his sister finds himself working in a beauty salon run by his high school crush and her obnoxious brother.
He gradually finds himself becoming more and more intrigued with his feminine side while going through some serious family turmoil.
While in the end all things eventually work out for Alex, as you live through the ups and downs of several months of his life, you can find yourself in his shoes and really empathize with his troubles.
All in all, this is an extremely well-written tome that is sure to keep your interest from first page to last.
This story is about a guy coming to terms with who he really is on the inside and outside that he starts enjoying to change into a transgender woman with the help of his co-workers and a friend that he has a crush on. This is for anyone who feels or what's a chance in their life to change who they really are as a guy into a transgender girl just from having the challenges and courage to do so to really enjoy your life for the future
I liked all of it, the ups and downs, the gentle way Alex was seduced into becoming Lexi, his awkward crush on Bella, with the boy loves girl, boy loses girl and love found once more. The growing rapport with the girls at the salon.
A lovely tale of self discovery through the love of friends. Not without its ups and downs, Alex is led towards femininity and discovers her true self. She does try to deny who she is for a while but family and friends help her to blossom.
Maybe You'll Like It: A Gradual Feminization Novel by Jennifer Sweet I don’t mind a little angst. This had a bit to much angst for me. I think anyone looking for a Gradual Feminization book could like this. It is better than the two stars I will give it.
My new favorite author..💫.. These books by Jennifer are just what I’ve been looking for.. Sweet, heartfelt stories about boys/men experimenting with women’s clothing and makeup.. Definitely 5 stars..
Another good book by Mx. Sweet. The progression of he main character, and support of the others, is really moving, and quite emotionally charged. The character development is superb as you can really feel and understand what Alex is going through inside of him as more and more is asked of him. A really good read.
