"Calling the shots" by Elizabeth Karre is an entertaining book based off of what happens when a simple wish changes everything. This book tells a story about a young girl named Cherry who is struggling to keep her life together. She has everything planned out for herself. She'll live with her grandmother, spend time with her friend Tanaya, and go to a cosmetology school after she graduates. However, her grandmother and Tanaya do not share the the same ideas as Cherry. Cherry is then visited by a mysterious man in her dreams who claims that he can grant a wish to help solve her problems. She receives the gift of thought planting. Her life begins to change due to this simple wish. She makes mistakes that she has to fix.
Overall the book was just entertaining for me. It didn't really have an interesting plot to the story. The book was mediocre in my opinion. However I still think it's a pretty descent book.

Meh. It’s ok. I think it’s supposed to be creepy? Pg-13 for innuendo, but generally clean.
