Interview Preparation: Planning For Success

Rate this book
This reference manual was designed to be a useful tool for those either new to the job search market or those where the interview process is something they dread as much or more than a trip to the dentist. It will also be beneficial for those that have had success getting mediocre jobs, but never the definitive carers they dream of.There is no magic to this process. Even if everything during the interview goes right, there still might be another applicant that has a bit more training or a tool you have not yet put into your toolbox. This book will help level the playing field and give you a better shot at getting through the process quickly and cleanly, leaving the interviewer with a clearer picture of who you are and how well you would fit the opening they have in their company or organization, without the missed cues and awkward situations where an answer to a question goes sour. Every missed opportunity is a learning experience to make you better and more prepared for the future. This material has been compiled over a 40+ year career during which I have been at one time the interviewee and at other times the interviewer. My goal is to give you an understanding of the process from both sides and explain why some of those crazy questions they ask have a deeper meaning than you may realize, and others might not even need to be answered at all. For every question there are many bad answers, but there is usually a good answer, a better answer and even a best answer. The questions section will give you an idea of what will be coming your way so you will be prepared with quality answers that best represent you.Preparing for a job interview is like studying for a math test. Some people have a natural ability and others must work at it. If you glide through the basics, then you might do okay up to a point, but spending extra time and effort in preparation makes the actual event a lot more comfortable as well as satisfying with more predictable and positive results. Chance favors those with proper preparation. Be ready for success. The pages in this book could change your life, or maybe just your career path.
