Eternal Bloom is a gripping story about domestic violence. Not just your typical book about a husband beating his wife. No, this story has all the signs that show that the relationship was going to be trouble.
Aiyana, is the good girl at school. She does everything to exceed. She meets a much older guy in high school. Kalb, the guy who is exceeding academically and has plans to continue on to a great career path.

Aiyana and Kalb's relationship starts in high school. The drama starts throughout their college years. We go on an emotional journey with Aiyana. You will see how some women feel stuck in a relationship that is not healthy for them. Aiyana, goes through so much dealing with her issues. She is not alone. Kalb has a dark past that shapes him into the man that he is. They both continue on in this unhealthy relationship.

I recommend reading this book. Its very emotional and you will feel connected to Aiyana and Kalb in some way. This book talks about a lot of things people deal with when they are involved in a relationship like this. A lot of signs were pointed out in this book. Not all was this book entertaining it was informational. Kenitra did a wonderful job and I look forward to reading more of her work in the future.

When Kenitra Jordan approached me to read and review her book, she added that she thought that I would like to read it because its my type of read. I wasn't sure, but what I am sure of is that Kenitra Jordan must have followed my reviews for some time and got to 'know' that type of books I read. I am honestly grateful for her seeking me out.

I make no bones about the fact that this is one hell of a read. It grips you, turning page after page, it makes you feel feelings that you have never felt before. You utter words in your head that you never though was possible to say. I was swearing in my head!

This poor woman in an abusive marriage. With children she was trying to protect.

I felt every slap, every poke, every kick. I cried for her laying on that bed when he was using her. I wanted to turn the abuse right around to him and ....... well, you get the picture.

I used to think that it was weak women that stayed with these men, no way do I feel that now. Its strong women who endure this.

I cried for her when she told her Mother, the reply from her Mother I am not going to tell you, but let me say, I was saying some words in my head and wanted to slap her.

That woman's strength of character came right out at me from the pages of this read. I felt her determination.

When she was aiming to leave him, when she was standing up against him. What a spirit she had.

That man was no other than a b*st*rd, in fact, that word is too good for him.

I wasn't expecting that ending though. I really wasn't expecting that ending, it had me crying at the end.

At what cost comes freedom?

Please don't overlook this book because of its subject matter as its a powerful story from a powerful female.

Kenitra Jordan has done wonders with this book and I can't believe its her debut novel.

Thank you Kenitra for seeking me out and asking me directly if I would like to read it.

A 5 star read! Very well written and detailed story line. Readers should be prepared to go on an emotional journey while reading this book. I experienced every emotion possible while reading the main character's life story. The author was so detailed that I felt like I was reading about a close friend and sharing her struggle. I wanted to shake her and hug her at the same time. Some days I would read a little then have to stop and shake-off what was happening, then begin the journey again. This is a must read of one woman's strength and the never ending love she had for her children. I would love to know what happened next after the ending...

This was my first book by Author Kenitra Jordan. I really enjoyed it. It had quite a few editing errors, but not enough to deter me from reading the book.I also was confused with the timeframes at times, so having dates or character names on headings would have been a good idea. This book touched on domestic violence between husband and wife, which is a touchy subject. Kenitra addressed it in a sensitive, yet informative manner. Aiyanna was a thick sister who was beautiful, but had low self esteem. Kalb was a tall sexy man who took interest in Aiyanna academically first, then it blossomed into a relationship. What Aiyanna had to endure, you will have to read to find out. Good job Kenitra!I liked the biblical additions. I recommend this book to those who enjoy reading good books about real life and relationship issues.

This story was heart-wrenching but so important to tell, to give a voice to the women who live with this everyday. Hopefully to also hold a mirror to the faces of the men who perpetuate this type of existence for their families. And of course it goes both ways, domestic violence has many faces, its not always the man being the abuser – but this story right here is about Aiyana, a wife and mother, who deeply and regrettably loved the wrong man. The line in the book, “my husband Kalb loved me with his fists,” says it all. She believed this was love and she tried to create a perfect little world of denial for herself and her children. Well-written examination of the reality for many families. I appreciate that it wasn't predictable and I couldn't guess the ending. I look forward to reading more stories by Kenitra Jordan.

Wow

This book was surreal to me. I am a Domestic Violence survivor. It was hard to get through Aiyanna's story but I managed. Her story brought back so many memories to me. It was meant for me to read this story this week. One of my closest friend's birthday was this week. She was murdered due to domestic violence. It's been awhile since a book made me cry. I highly recommend this book.

Ayanna's Story

This was a very sad story. It needed to be told nonetheless. It was very hard to get through it because it was so sad. It was on of those heart wrenching hold your breath type stories.

Happy Reading,
