“Did you ever think you’d meet a bigger, foul-tempered potty mouth than Nina? Well, folks, meet Primrose Dunham.
It’s Christmas and as the OOPs gang prepares for the holidays another “accident” finds its way to their doorstep. That accident turns out to be angry, foul-mouthed, rude and, well… Just like Nina. Primrose Dunham has been accidentally turned into a fairy. As if she wasn’t already angry enough with the world, now she has sporadic powers she can’t control, pointy ears, and a weird hump on her back that everyone keeps calling a “wing.” If that’s not enough of a shock, a vampire, a werewolf and a halfsie come to her “rescue”…whether she wants them to help or not. Oh, and the man she’s been trying to avoid—the “the literal boy next door and her one-time bestie, Rafferty Monroe—gets turned as well, thanks to Primrose! It’ll take more than a Christmas miracle to thaw Prim’s frosty attitude, protect her from her sinister stepfather, and figure out why there’s a price on her head in the fairy world. But it’s nothing the OOPs ladies—along with assorted paranormal friends and framily—can’t handle. Right?

I absolutely loved this book!!! This had everything loss, heartbreak, strength, love and a mystery that kept me on my toes. This book is a triumph from start to finish.
Dakota Cassidy has successfully added another member to the accidental family - Primrose Duhman. Cassidy’s newest book is a delightful and fun read. Plus, it filled with all the warm feels of the Christmas holiday! I love how Cassidy has created such a tough girl, similar to Nina, who ends up covered in pretty, pastel colors and glitter plus wings! Prim is such a strong willed girl who is suddenly forced to deal with her past & present and being a fairy simply goes against all of it. Reading this book is so fun!
Marty, Wanda & Nina find themselves once again doing what they do best - helping others adjust to paranormal life and Prim definitely needs help adjusting to life as a fairy! They also help Rafferty, Prim’s neighbor and best friend adjust as well.
Prim is extremely good at pushing people away & keeping to herself (except when she is the acting defender of abused animals). She moves into her old family home, the most unlivable of places and becoming a fairy and needing the help of the OOPS women does not go over well with Prim. And the all rumors are true, her potty mouth rivals that of Nina - it is so entertaining especially after the women become a part of her daily life. Prim is overwhelmed and uncomfortable with it all.
Not only do the women (plus other paranormals) take over her space, but so does Raff (to be fair, it is Prim’s fault). Raff has tried to stay connected with Prim. She kept the connection small. Raff would like more with Prim because he has loved her forever. She does want more but she cannot allow others to close - too many secrets from the past haunt her. Little does she know, Raff has some secrets of his own.
The longer the women are with Prim & Raff, the more they help, take care of and protect Raff & her, Prim realizes she has missed having family, friends and simply being happy. To figure it all out, Prim, Raff & the women travel to the Realm of Hollows to discover why Prim is wanted by some bad fairies. Plus, Raff & Prim need help learning how to use their new powers. On their travels to find the Queen, Prim is forced to face her ugly past and decides she is no longer going to hide herself.
I’m already feeling the excitement of the next two books in the series: The Accidental Witch & The Accidental Ghost!
If you haven’t read any of the “Accidental” series by Dakota Cassidy, I totally suggest you do! You are in for a huge treat! The series is awesome from book one to book fourteen! In book fourteen titled “The Accidental Fairy” we have the pleasure to meet Primrose “Prim” Dunham, a foul mouthed, tell it like it is - twin sister from another mister to Nina (our snarky foul mouthed accidental vampire and cofounder of the OOPS).
As you get to know Prim and her longtime childhood best friend Raff, you come to know them like they are your own friends. Immediately accepted into the OOPS family without question, mental health issues, therapy and all! It was awesome to have mental health put out there in such a way that was realistic along with the therapy and context of why; to reach out to readers of all ages that may struggle with something similar! Prim & Raff are so cute together, and if you relate to Primm in any way (or even Raff or Nina), you will feel like you are right there as they navigate life and find their way together after so many years. Being turned into an accidental fairy is no walk in the park as they both find out. Every twist and turn will keep you going until the end!
As always, this book will not disappoint you in the laugh out loud, snort so loud everyone wonders what’s wrong, tears to your eyes sort of way! There are so many great lines, I could probably find one to quote from each page! However, here are my two VERY favorite ones, “WWTBD.” “What would Tinker Bell Do?” (to understand the full context and why it’s so funny, you really have to read the book!!); “And when she looked up, quite suddenly, everyone was Kung-Fu fighting. With Wings.”
If you aren’t sure if you want to read this series, pick up this book, or any of the series, and read it. The series is awesome, but each book can stand alone, and you won’t feel lost as to what happened previously - Dakota Cassidy is great at keeping the story going while explaining who the OOPS team is without taking the spotlight off of the newly introduced character!
So, get your cozy blanket, grab a drink, and settle in for a fun, can’t put the book down, quick read. I really loved this book and was so sad when I finished it! I always wish the books were longer!
Another accidental turning, strange appendages protruding from Kash's body. The OOPS ladies seek the help of a specialist, Scotty, who has a mysterious secret known only to the girls. Kash, a mix of various species, undergoes testing to unravel his true nature. Kash and Scotty are fresh faces in the series.
The characters' shared journey to aid Kash strengthens their bond, as they navigate Kash's past, drawing parallels with Nina's experiences. The relationship between Kash and Scotty evolves throughout the narrative. As they face attempts to kidnap him, they must uncover the culprits and their motives.
The characters' shared quest to aid Kash strengthens their bond as they navigate Kash's past, drawing parallels with Nina's experiences. The relationship between Kash and Scotty evolves throughout the narrative. We loved seeing their slow-burning romance come alive.
Prepare for more comedic escapades with the crew and the introduction of new characters, along with the emergence of adversaries. This paranormal romance is infused with action and adventure, romance, chemistry, wonderful characters, mystery, suspense, bad guys, laughs, and had us grinning and sporting those little secret smiles the entire story.
Accidental AF is a must-read. Dakota Cassidy skillfully blends real-life issues with a paranormal backdrop, resulting in a story that is both entertaining and heartfelt. With a mix of elements and a generous dose of love, Accidental AF promises a captivating read. One of our favorites in this ongoing series.
The one thing that stood out to me in this book was that hurt people, hurt people. Prim has survived several traumas and is still standing, but she’s been bruised and battered. She has learned to shut people out and in doing so her people skills are lacking. She rivals Nina for the worst potty mouth award.
Rafferty has loved Prim since grade school. He has tried to keep the lines of communication open but has suffered his own trauma. The difference between Prim and Rafferty is that Rafferty doesn’t try and hurt people. He is loving and welcoming.
These two characters balance each other out. Turning into a fairy accidentally adds another layer of stress to their lives. However, the OOPs team is on the job to help them get through it. The Accidental Fairy has a fast-paced plot, action, romance, and framily. In true OOPs framily fashion, they rally around Prim and Rafferty to support them even after the major incidents have passed.
The Accidental Fairy has great plot twists that kept me engaged. This is a wonderful story of self-preservation, perseverance, and learning to accept help. Their journey is a fantastic addition to The Accidentals series. I hope we get to visit The Hollow again.
I am usually an audiobook listener, so actually reading this book was a bit different for me, but 2 pages in I found myself actually hearing Nina’s foul mouth and snarky comments and conversations with Marty and Wanda.
I always look forward to each book in this series and as usual Dakota doesn’t disappoint. This book had me cracking up laughing, and had my heart going awww a couple times. Primrose has such a personality and a foul mouth that gives Nina a run for her money. She tries so hard to keep her business to herself and she wants to handle everything on her own, but per usual the OOPS team pushes their way in with their overwhelming love and in your face support 😂, oh and did I mention Freddy Mercury and Katy Perry 🐾.
You can’t help but love this series and this book is no different. Dakota you better get moving lady because I can’t wait for the next book 🥰.
The Accidental Fairy is another laugh out loud addition to The Accidentals series by the fabulous Dakota Cassidy. In this installment we meet Primrose Dunham a foul mouthed angry young woman who has been turned into a fairy. When she and Nina meet it was like looking into a mirror. This story had me giggle-snorting and sniffling at turns. Prim and Rafe are sweet together and seeing how far Nina has come just made me smile. Winter fun among the chaos.
Ok so I have read ALLL the OOPS books and love them, it's my favorite series ever. The last 2 books were in my opinion the ones that were not as good (still good and worth the read) so I was worried about this one. There was NOTHING to worry about. The twist at the end was awesome. I love the fact that mental health was a big factor. All in all 10 out 10 definitely recommend!!!!
Dakota Cassidy does it again! Book after book that this author cranks out is pure gold. I absolutely love it. Nina has always been my favorite character so to have another one and she's the barbie type? Adorable! I've been reading Cassidy's books for years and this one is by far my favorite! I recommend my readers to pick this series up ASAP!
I just love the OOPS ladies, I love these books it's like coming back home. The nostalgia hits hard every time.
Since there are so many books, it does get hard to keep track of all the characters.
The one thing I'm hoping for is for one of the accident to involve Carl or for them to help him so he not always falling apart. Or to find out what happened to him so they can fix him.
Must Read Series if you want the paranomal, romantic and hilarious read.
I have read all the books in this series. Dakota Cassidy has so much imagination. If you want to read about the paranormal with so many funny twists and turns and a happy ending. This is a must read.
I don't ever want this series to end. All the 'Accidental' books are so well written. Full of laugh-out-loud moments and engaging characters. I almost feel like I'm going to a family reunion of my own every time I start a new book. Let's keep it going, please!
OOPS..the gangs all here!! The ladies of OOPS are back at it, and this case literally flies into their lives. I think this was one of my favorites so far. It had all the classic accidental tropes: the hilarious antidote's from Nina and Marty, mix of danger and suspense, and of course lots of of paranormal craziness happening. This time we have Primrose who is like another Nina and her friend Rafferty...mix in our favorite characters and you've got a winning storyline.
This was a great read! I love the storytelling. I enjoyed following Primrose in her adventures. It has all the ingredients that you need for a great book!
