**** Embers of Fate is a fast-paced dragon shifter romance filled with steamy fated mates, forbidden lovers, dark secret, political intrigue and is recommended for +18. It’s the third installment in the Bad Boy Shifters series. While it can be read as a standalone, reading the full series in order, along with the Unnatural Brethren series is highly advised! ****
USA TODAY Bestselling Author Silvana G. Sánchez weaves tales of forbidden love and redemption. Her pen blurs the lines between good and evil, writing compelling heroes and irresistible villains with a heart of gold. She lives her own happily ever after with her dashing prince, Eric, and darling son, David, in their home in the mystical city of Guadalajara, Mexico. Don’t be afraid to drop her a line. She doesn't bite. Not always, anyway.
Well written modern day Romeo and Juliette, but with a happy ending. Ancient clan feuds, dominating autocratic older brothers, some cross over characters i.e. Dristan, etc and finally a dragon shifter after hundreds of years work together to make the storyline a pleasure to follow. I would have loved some more on dragon shifting angle , but thoroughly enjoyed the book and read it in 1 sitting. I received an advanced review copy and leave this review voluntary Thank you
Nikolaas Draken, youngest son of the Clan Draken, is finally called home to the family seat in Paris by his older brother, Bram, the new leader of the clan since the deaths of their parents and uncle. He naturally wonders why, after so many years of banishment, he is needed. As usual, Bram offers no details, and doesn't even bother to be present when Nikolaas arrives.
Nikolaas is a dragon shifter that has yet to shift. In fact, he doesn't expect to. He expects to remain a disappointing embarrassment to the family. To make things worse, he suffers from debilitating headaches and has to rely on strong medication for relief.
On his first night of freedom in Paris, he goes to a nightclub, where he unexpectedly meets a beautiful woman, stepping in to prevent her from maiming some poor drunk with a broken liquor bottle. Just as Nic is unaware of her family name, she is unaware of his. Her name is Samara, and she is the princess of the Ursa Clan, historical arch enemies of the drakens. But that doesn't seem to have any bearing on their mutual impressions of each other. Thus begins a fated love match, which will either end the feud or destroy everyone.
Come along as Nic fights for his place in his clan and the love of Sam. And there's a mighty surprise waiting at the end of the story. This is an enjoyable read, told well. Plenty of drama, some violence, and plenty of passion.
I was provided with a free copy of this book and am providing my honest, voluntary review.
Samara and Nik have spent thier whole lives being controlled by thier older brothers. Both lost thier parents at an early age. They are supposed to hate each other because they come from rival clans.
But fate has other plans and they both will have to decide if they are willing to follow fate or follow family.

This was an excellent book. I loved Nic and Sam’s story as well as all the other characters. Definitely could not put this one down and look forward to more in this series.

I love this story between Nik and Sam. A little sizzle and heat. Twists and turns that really aren’t expected. What will happen next in the happily ever after of these two?
If you're looking for a wild ride packed with forbidden love, ancient clan feuds, and enough scorching tension to melt the Eiffel Tower, "Embers of Fate" by Silvana G. Sánchez is your next must-read. The latest installment in the universe of the Ursa Clan and Deveraux witches, this book is a passionate Romeo & Juliet-style tale that will leave you breathless.
Meet Samara Alexeeva, the youngest heiress and witch supreme of the Ursas, as she accompanies her bitter brother and king, Gavriil Alexeev, to Paris to forge a new alliance through the wedding of young Cassandra Deveraux. Of course, it wouldn't be a Sánchez novel without a tangle of ancient clan feuds, dominating older brothers, and some seriously sexy cross-over characters. And did I mention the dragon shifter? Yes, Nikolaas Draken, the youngest son of the sworn enemies to the Ursa clan, finds the love of his life in a mysterious woman during a night of debauchery at a club. Spoiler alert: that woman is none other than Samara herself.
As always, Sánchez thrives on the hidden, secret emotions of her characters, their frailties, their pain and suffering, and their bitterness. "Embers of Fate" is no different. You’ll feel the suffering of a widowed king, the guilt of the youngest and only dragon, the sacrifice of our fearless FMC, and even the rare happiness found in family by the oldest Ursa brother, Vlad. Every single detail paints a vivid portrait of cruelty, violence, and utter love.
If you crave a whirlwind of emotions and a plot that keeps you on the edge of your seat, don't think twice. "Embers of Fate" is a wild ride you won't want to miss.
Talk about a fued. The Hatfield's and McCoy's don't have anything on the Ursa's and Drakken's.
This is Nik Drakken and Sam Ursa's story. It's also an exceptionally entertaining book. As ALL of Silvana Sánchez's books are.
Nik and Sam meet by pure happenstance. They met in a nightclub when Sam was about to pummel some a$$hat over the head with a bottle. Talk about feisty. Nik is a banished Drakken dragon shifter even though none in their line have shifted in many, many, MANY years. Nik's brother Bram called him home mainly to keep up appearances after their uncle died and Bram took over the family money and businesses. Nik also suffers from severe headaches which I thought were migraines, but boy was I wrong. And Sam is a princess of the Ursa clan and a witch.
We are talking instant attraction. Also, instant dread when they learned each others last names. Needless to say a lot of sneaking around and drama ensues. Gavríll even tells Sam a secret about Nik that Nik doesn't even realize. When he finds out from his brother Bram, it's truly heartbreaking. I mean a box of tissues heartbreaking. The poor kid (I can call him that, I'm 53) is devastated however, on his 21st birthday, he gets a gift from fate that changes his and Sam's future for the HEA that those two definitely deserve.
I highly recommend this book BUT ALSO, ALL of Silvana Sánchez's books. They will knock your socks off. Worth one click, every penny spent and every minute reading. I dare you to put the book down before the end.
Some love stories burn bright. Embers of Fate blazes—a scorching, all-consuming inferno of forbidden passion, betrayal, and the kind of chemistry that makes you forget about consequences.
Nik and Samara’s story had me hooked from the start. A banished Draken warlock and an Ursa princess locked in a war their ancestors started, yet drawn together by a bond so intense, it threatens to destroy everything. Their first meeting? Electric. Their connection? Explosive. Every moment between them crackled with tension, and I lived for the push and pull—the reckless need to be together despite knowing they shouldn’t.
And let’s talk about Paris. The city of love? More like the city of high-stakes danger and midnight rendezvous where passion collides with politics. The way Silvana G. Sánchez weaves together clan rivalries, dark secrets, and fated mates had my heart pounding. Every twist had me questioning—would love conquer generations of hatred, or would it all go up in flames?
This book is everything I love—forbidden romance, possessive shifters, steamy fated-mate intensity, and the kind of enemies-to-lovers angst that keeps me turning pages way past bedtime. If you love dragon shifters, powerful witches, and high-stakes passion that burns like wildfire, Embers of Fate needs to be in your hands.
Embers of Fate is a Dragon Shifter romance, this book is also the third book of Bad Boy Shifters of the Unnatural Brethren. Embers of Fate follows the story of Nik and Samara. I absolutely fell in love with this book. This book has so much raw relatable emotion within it. We were introduced to Samara from the beginning of the series and saw her sassy playful side but this book gave her more depth than previously and showed the vulnerable side of Samara that she keeps hidden and buried away along with a bit of rebellion. Nik is a kind and caring soul who is struggling with the downs of life who finally says enough is enough. I thought this book to be a nice mix of Romeo and Juliette vibes and of course all the fun of shifters, vampires, witches, and whatever else goes bump in the night. I found myself staying up way later than I should have to keep my eyes open to continue reading and honestly I do NOT regret one little bit. I would recommend this book, but I would also recommend any other book written by Silvana Sanchez. They will knock your socks off. Worth on click and every minute reading. I would dare you to put the book down before finishing the story.

Destiny decided long ago that they were faded mates but reality made them clan enemies.
Nik has been an outcast as long as he can remember. Called home unexpectedly by his brother, he is hoping he will atleast be welcomed. Realizing he is wrong. He goes out at a night club.I don't like copy stumbles upon Samara, Sam who he doesn't know is in his rival clan. Chemistry off the charts they are interruped before names can be exchanged. When his brother goes off, the rails goes after the rival clan leader. He stumbles upon sam and realizes exactly who she is. Should they take a chance on each other and hope that the rivalry? Nick has a mystery surrounding him at sam hopes to figure out what it is. Sam consumes his every thought, rivalry be damned. The passion within each clan to protect their own, makes my heart warm. You can feel what the characters feel as their emotions are written well.
This does intertwine like previous books but it can be read as a standalone.
I enjoyed this book as well as all of the others I have read by her so far.
I love this beautifully crafted story, action packed, exciting with amazing characters. I really enjoyed this young, fascinating, engaging Warlock Nik Draken, cast aside after his parents died, kept far from home. His brother is a nasty, cruel bully only interested in using Nik to support Brams own power and influence. Nik is called home to Paris, home is cold, lifeless. Nik heads into town finds nightclub, meets Samara bear shifter witch. Nik and Samara are instantly attracted, hot steamy kisses, unfortunately Samara called away. They can’t stop thinking of each other. Nik will do anything to protect Sam, he can’t lose her. Their relationship will face desperate challenges, betrayal, confusion and danger. But nothing can change Sam’s love and need for Nik, she will fight to keep her mate. Nik tries to protect Sam, he fears his dangerous magic, but love will conquer all. I love this fascinating story, thrilling adventure and beautiful happy ending. Delightful reading I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This captivating addition to Silvana G. Sanchez's popular paranormal romance series immerses readers in dragon shifters' passionate, turbulent world. Thrilling chemistry, heart-pounding danger, and the powerful pull of destiny enliven this third instalment featuring a brooding dragon shifter who finds his fated mate in an unexpected way. With a narrative equal parts thrilling and emotionally resonant, Sanchez masterfully weaves myth, mystery, and steamy supernatural love. A steamy inferno of passion is brewing between Nic and Sam as they navigate treacherous threats and their own intense, growing feelings. In this latest instalment in the "Bad Boy Shifters" series, the characters are captivating, the plot is fast-paced, and the writing is lush and evocative, making this a must-read for fans of paranormal romance. Book
You can read it as a standalone, but I highly recommend reading the entire series along with Unnatural Brethren! A cliff hanger ends this instalment.

The story is exciting and so much fun to read. Nik is a sexy warlock Dragon Shifter. He is labeled the black sheep of the family. What she doesn't know is there is a mystery to his heritage. After his brother takes over his brother calls him home to Paris! To try and let off steam Nik goes to a near by club. There he meets the spunky and mysterious young woman Sam. Nik's brother sent him away to boarding school as a child right after the passing of their parents. 10 years later he calls him home to Paris. Nik it's hoping that he's going to welcome him with open arms and want to be a family again. But he's disappointed when he finds out that's not the case. He decides to go out to try and release some stress and meet a woman like no other. It was a chance meeting that was cut too short before names can even be exchanged. Wanting a drunken rage his brother decides to go after a enemy Clan he's reunited with the woman that he met that night. What follows is an intense love like no other. I really really enjoyed this book and I loved that Vlad was in this book as well. I wish there would have been more with Sam and Nik after they reunited. I'm hoping that I'll get a good dose of them in future books.

I was astounded reading this book it pulled me in from the start until the very end. This story was about Princess Samara and Nik, were both summoned back to the families. Samara's brother is King Gavrill Alexeev, King to the Ursa clan. Samara ended up sneaking out to a nightclub and that’s when she met him, they spent the night together and left her wanting him. Nik is a Draken Warlock he was sent away for decades then he was summoned back home, he didn't know his uncle was had died and now his brother Bram is the head of the dragons. Nik decided to go out he spotted a beautiful female they had a one-night stand, they connected so well he didn't want to leave her the chemistry between them was fantastic, until Samara's King took her home not happy with her being with the enemy they are at war at the moment so will it be enemy to lovers.
I loved this. This book has so much raw relatable emotion within it. Nik was exiled as a child. After ten years, his brother Bram summons him home. Bram has taken over the family money, and business. Nik meets Sam in a nightclub, and sparks fly. Sam is a Princess, and a witch of the Ursa clan. Her brother is King Gavriil. Nik belongs to the Draken clan. That is their rival clan. Sam has not come into full power yet. She is forced to follow her brother. Where will fate lead them? This is a story of a forbidden love. There are secrets, among the clans. Will their love destroy the packs? I enjoyed reading this story. The storyline flowed well. The characters were realistic, and well developed.

Having already read Runt of the Pack, I was certainly interested when offered a copy of the next in the series for free.
This was such a good book! Within the first few chapters, there was already some NSFW content, so I was expecting far much more than there was. That's okay, because I enjoyed it just the same. I think most of us know what it's like to feel completely broken after losing someone. We may even also know what it is like to sacrifice ourselves to save someone else!
I'm just happy that everything worked out in the end for Nik and Sam… A perfect HEA!
Embers of Fate is the third book in the Unnatural Brethren series and follows the story of Dragon shifter Warlock Nikolaas and Princess Samara of their rival Ursa clan. They meet in Paris after Sam sneaks out for some nightclub fun which leads to their one night together and lots of consequences. I enjoyed the story which was filled with family dynamics, action, drama, political intrigue, secrets, and forbidden love. Nicely written with a cadre of well crafted characters the story was a compelling and entertaining read as the battle for two halves of the same soul to become one begins.

Nik belongs to the dragon clan, while Samara belongs to the bear clan. However a random meeting at a club sets off a chain of wild emotions that leads to a paranormal Romeo and Juliet with a HEA! I will say you could read this as a standalone but there are a lot of characters from previous novels and situations that show up that could benefit from reading prior novels. Great paranormal read for those looking for something with a little world building and a HEA for the main characters!.

Embers of Fate is a dragon shifter/witch romance you are going to love. Nik and Sam are from rivaling clans so there are some difficult issues to resolve. This book holds lots of drama, passion and suspense with some violence. This story is very enticing. You'll be hooked from the first page. I could not put it down. The twist and turns will keep you wondering whats to happen next. I would highly recommend this book to other paranormal lovers.

Book three in the Bad Boy Shifters of the Unnatural Brethren series, is a fated mates between a dragon shifter and witch from the Ursa clan. A romance that couldn’t be more forbidden, since they come from rival clans. This was my favorite out of the three books. Nik and Sam have to go through a few hoops to get the HEA they deserve. It’s got shifters, magic, steamy romance, betrayal, and action. All wrapped up in a pretty package.

Who doesn't love a good star crossed lovers book?! The story revolves around Nik and Samara, who are both from rival camps, fighting their unyielding attraction to each other. Stories of the forbidden are always so intriguing and exciting as it proves the greatest love to overcome all that hate and just be together. I love the storytelling and the depth of the characters' emotions. Was a good read!
So good. Sam, who is a powerful witch, falls in love with Nik who is the last dragon. Bram is Nik's older brother who has placed in boarding schools and Nik just wants to come home. He has not seen Bram in many years, nor his baby sister Cassandra. Sam has her brothers, Gavriil who is a bear shifter and Vlad who is a vampire. She just wants love. They both just want love. How do they overcome all the odds?
With so much in common how can it not bring witch Samara and dragon shifter Nik together in such a profound manner. The sparks and chemistry between these two is imminent and waiting to combust. You cannot help to be fascinated by this story as it is well written and has great characters. I absolutely loved this story and the suspense that kept me invested. What a great read!

I think this one is the best I’ve read so far of this series. There was loss and hope and bitterness and anger then love again. Nik snd Sam had to fight for what they wanted and believed in. Bran was in so much trouble and only knew how to get in deeper. Nik fought for what he thought was right and fair both for himself and for his clan but also for on going peace. I really enjoyed this one.

Oooooooh this has been my favorite so far! Dragons and bears? Yes! An ace short story with the happy edition of it being the perfect evening read. Start to finish then time for bed! Yes! Nice mixture of plot vs character development. You need to have at least read previous two books to start with this but it’s a breeze. Super easy read!
