An enjoyable follow-up to the first book!
Loved to get more into the relationship between the two brothers and understand it.
Miss Harrow sure had some difficult decisions. I did get teary-eyed at a specific moment, was not expecting that. BUT GIRL, GET YOUR HEAD BACK IN THE GAME. GET THOSE THOUGHTS OUT OF YOUR MIND.
The spice was as good as it always is.
I would have enjoyed a bit more world-building, but keeping in mind that she was stuck inside, it was all right. I do hope for the rest of the story we do get a bit more.
And that ending? Sir? What’s gotten into you?
Favorite quotes (MIGHT CONTAIN SPOILERS):
« Come on, Miss Harrow. We’re family now. You may call me Dorian. » « Did ‘Dickhead’ not fit your birth certificate then? »
« I tried to avert my eyes, but they remained pinned on the female against my will, because - by all the gods, she was inhaling that dick like her life depended in it. Maybe it did. »
« We only found him because Valyean kept bringing cookies to the pigs. »
« There was a sick twisted part of me that loved that brutal, raw energy of his, and my idiotic pussy considered it some sort of sick foreplay. »
« That was a stupid thing to say. My mistake. » « I have a feeling that stupid should have been your middle name. »
« How the hell had I managed to kiss both twins in the span of two days? »
« The fuck did I have to kiss him for? »
« I wanted him more than life itself. »
« Marking me as his. His to own. His to possess. His to destroy. »
« How does such a big dick fit such a tiny body? I’m curious. » « How does such a small brain not get bored in such a massive head? »
« Oh you know. Advantages of prisoner life. » « I should fuck a prince too, maybe I’ll get ice cream in the middle of the afternoon. »
« Dorian, why are you here? » « Because I also wish to bind myself to this woman. »

I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to read an Arc copy of this book in exchange for a honest review. Thank you Xandra 🌸
𝗥𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 4 ⭐⭐⭐⭐
𝗟𝗶𝗸𝗲𝘀 • Was a fantastic second book in the series! • I love the chapter format. Each chapter covering a day really works in the context of this book/series. It works really well this way and nicely closes off each chapter. • First person! For some reason I find books written in first person so much easier so read. • Lots of juicy spice 🌶️. • Character development!
𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲𝘀 • I would've liked for some scenes to have been longer and/or written in a little more detail (won't go into specifics to avoid spoilers).
𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 This is an incredible book and an incredible series so far and I seriously can't wait for the next installment!
I'd recommend this book/series to anyone who loves a fantasy romance with a bit of spice 🤭
I was lucky enough to receive this book as an ARC and I read it effective immediately after receiving it. This has been one of my most anticipated reads of 2024.
This book is turning into a why choose isn’t it???😮💨😏
I rated this book 4/5 ⭐️ 3/5 🌶️
It was a really fun and twisted read honestly it was exciting. It will have you gasping every 5 minutes, this book was also more on the emotional side because of the author showing us readers why galenor and Dorian began their brotherly feud, which are can’t wait to understand more about.
I would love to understand more why galenor lied in the human realm. To understand where his head is at when it comes to that.
Overall, the book was really good and the smut was French kiss!
I recommend this for everyone’s TBR

I received an ARC of the first book and loved it. I read this one on KU.
I really enjoyed the plot. The story was so good I flew through this book in less than 3 days.
My criticism is that this book felt a bit unfinished and there was one glaring plot hole.
Why unfinished? For me, the chapters jumped about a lot. They ended abruptly and then we were parachuted into the next action scene. I felt we needed more down time between each scene.
Plot hole? Her period. It’s supposed to last 36 hours? It lasted less than 24 with no explanation.
Also, I couldn’t remember how she ended up from being a prisoner to in the harem? A wee recap at the start of the novel would have been useful.
I preferred book 1, but I will be reading book 3.

Received this book as an ARC. I loved Chained which finished on an explosive ending so was desperate to find out what happened!
This book is filled with twists and the spice is top notch! I love how feisty Ellyana is. Double enemies to lovers. Building friendships. Trusting those to do the right thing, keeping in line for the sake of her people. Ellyana played the game but gets caught up, soooooooo good!!!
This book is definitely darker than the first so keep that in mind.
I honestly cannot wait for book 3 to come out! A great series to read if you love Fae and spice!!
Well done Xandra, The Realm of Wind series is amazing so far 💜
I’m going to hold out on a rating until the end of the series, bc as it stands, it makes NO SENSE. His dismissal and betrayal is never addressed and he starts acting all lovey dovey again. Meanwhile, his “evil twin” is slapping her around, throwing temper tantrums, and trying to seduce her. There’s clearly some bet or something bigger on the line. They’re both assholes. She seems to have some sort of uncontrollable attraction to the evil(?) brother like a mate bond or something. This book was so slow it was painful, and nothing happened that should have taken more than a few chapters.

Ok so a great second book 2 . However I do feel it’s alit of word salad in the middle that honestly gets really tiresome and not needed in there yes there is groundwork but not as much as is layed out .
Sorry rapid picks up in the last 50 pages I feel the wasted pages in the middle could have easily been moved position . Will I buy book 3 and 4 yes absolutely would I love to be a beta reader for this author absolutely I think I would sell my soul to Dorian excellent book if I could give it 10 I would
Finally some realistic stair climbing!!! Ellyana was a bit more relatable in this one, too, well for me anyway: "RIP my little corner-fungus friends" is absolutely something I would say.
I had many questions at the end of book one, and they were all answered throughout the book.
Love triangle, anyone?
Dorian. I can't. I love him. I am now Anti-Galenor. Dorian for the win. Dorian bias aside, though, he is genuinely a really well written character. He has two very clear sides - the villain, and then the one Ellyana brings out. The kinder one, the one that makes you think he must have had a tough time as a child if he is so surprised she showed him a bit of genuine affection.
I will say that the romance between Galenor and Ellyana felt a little flat in this. They were together. And that's it. But it's okay. Dorian is here now 😂.
Again there were plot twists - well, not necessarily plot twists, but there were definitely things that made me gasp. Such as Ellyana's little confession about when she thinks of Dorian.
Loved this more than the first one. Questions from first book were answered and the story between the two brothers are now unfolding. At the beginning I was rooting for Elyanna and Gaelenor, but as I was reading further I found I was enjoying the Dorian meetings more. Dorian seems to have a lot of anger which I don't blame from the type of upbringing he may of had, Elyanna seemed to bring a different side of him out eventually. I am so excited to read the next installment and to see how this love triangle unfolds.
ARC Review - as with the first book Chained, I couldn't put it down. Also what an ending to the book!
I really enjoyed this book, the first book had a good amount of world building which meant when reading this book I was able to feel connected to all the emotions of the characters.
This book is a bit darker than the first which some readers may not enjoy but loved it!
Enemy to lovers x 2! Yes please! Xandra did it again with that absolute twist of an ending!
Xandra has done it again. I loved this book! After reading Chained I was given the amazing opportunity to read an ARC of Locked. Didn't disappoint, couldn't put it down. It felt darker than the first book in the series, you still get the romance, the spice, more world building and character development. Let's not forget the plot twists... Highly recommend!
5⭐️ 2.5🌶️ I was hooked from the start. I loved the first book but I loved this book even more. I want to thank the author for giving me a chance to be a ARC reader once again and this series has really got me in a chokehold because it is just amazing! First of all this book does have triggers so please check them before reading. In this story you follow 1 FMC Ellyana and 2 MMCs who are twin brothers, Dorian and Galenor. I love the plot and the storyline of this story. This book made me gasp, laugh and have WTF moments 😅 I adored the FMC she is strong willed and has some fire to her and in all honesty I love her sarcasm because I can be all the same! Also I think I’m a Dorian stan 🙈 I don’t want to say too much that gives any spoilers but if you love, enemies to lovers, dark Romantasy, little spice then I highly recommend this book.
This book gets you to want to know more about the characters and their back stories and I love how the author has started to introduce that into the story. I just adore this book and I need the 3rd book in the series like yesterday 😅
I read this in one sitting. There's lots of spice and lots of character development. It's also in first person pov which you don't see a lot. It felt more darker than the first book and had lots of twists. The chapters were formatted nicely as well I highly recommend this read.
I received this as an ARC. Omg this book, after the first I was so excited to continue the story and I was not disappointed, I could not put this book down at all!! I love the spice and also love how it doesn’t take away the plot of the story and I cannot wait for book 3 😭😫
I was so excited to receive an ARC copy of Locked and it did not disappoint. I loved that we got more insight into Elly and also lots more character development for Dorian and Galenor. OMG that ending was just mean leaving us wanting more like that 😅
Book 2 in the Realm of Wind series is definitely my favourite so far! For a short read, but being a slow reader, I flew through this book and couldn’t get enough. Don’t know if I’m team Galenor or team Dorian, but I cannot wait to see what happens in the next book!
I was desperate to get to this after the cliff hanger from the previous book. It was good to get more perspective on the brothers. One of my favourite tropes of having to choose which side to be on. I can't wait for the next one!
This book was just as o-k-a-y as the first one. Just a quick read with not much emotion attached to it. Some of it was rushed Others was confusing The switch from one emotion to another just was silly. But for a quick read it was just fine.
ARC. Amazing second book in the series. As like Xandra Noel’s books, it keeps you glued to the pages with non stop action. Nothing better than a book you just can’t put down. Cannot wait for book 3.
MISS XANDRA NOEL! How could you end it like that you little minx!
I usually struggle coming back to a series but this was so easy to fall back into! The way the story flows between the characters! The way I understand Dorian and felt like screaming at Ellyana to not give up. I’m just as conflicted as she is!
I love him. Why do I love him?!
If you want a series to make you and break you all in one go please read Chained & Locked!
Thank you for choosing me to be an ARC I can’t wait for Book Three 💕

I started this book thinking I wouldnt read the next one, but like book 1, the ending was enough to persuade me to carry on! It’s definitely starting to grow on me
One line review - Is it kinda bad I wish I was the FMC?
I just couldn't put it down, I accidently woke my husband up with my reaction to the ending.
This book is amazing, I prefer it to the first one but that's because the first one did alot of world building and allowed me to really connect to all the emotions in the second book.
Whilst the darkness of the second book might not be to all tastes, I loved it. The double enemies to lovers *chefs kiss* the bombshell of an ending, Xandra is amazing at them!
I especially love how I really connect with Elly, I am constantly thinking exactly how she is, several times she'd be put in a situation I'd be all like, elly just about turn and walk out of there and she would, I loved it, felt soooo connected to her. I loved experiencing it all from her point of view.
I did find the jumps after her time with gale confusing to begin with, but then I loved how she would relive them back.
I wanted him more than life itself

Realm of Wind Series 1. Chained ⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 2. Locked ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3. Trapped ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4. Captured ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Absolutely loved book 2 in this series. Ellyana feels betrayed when the Fae she's spent the past month with isn't who she thought he was, let alone the fact that his twin brother is the one behind his torture and the worst Fae in human history, Prince Dorian Dalenth. Will she survive being his prisoner or is everything about to change again. 100% Recommend reading, I can't wait for the rest of the series.
This book, along with the first of the series KEPT ME HOOKED from page 1 and the story line had me in my feels!! The twists, the spice, the way all characters are developed is just right up my alley! I'm looking forward to more in this series and can't wait to see how the next book pans out 🌶️🙏❤️
