I am a massive, MASSIVE Formula One fan, so I was really excited to get my hands on a copy of this book, due to be published in time for the start of the new season 🏁

The 2025 season is set to be one of the most exciting ever, with six rookies (arguably - is Ollie Bearman still a rookie?), some huge team changes, in particular Lewis Hamilton’s move to Ferrari, which ousted Carlos Sainz to Williams, and the genius that is Adrian Newey departing Red Bull for Aston Martin.

All of these huge talking points are, of course, discussed in this brilliant book, along with an analysis of the 2025 season line up by team and driver, detailed information on every track, a review of each 2024 race, which is always fascinating to remind ourselves of before the next race, loads of F1 records and a chart at the back to fill in the race results through the 2025 season.

This book is the perfect and essential season companion for every F1 fan. Bring on March 16th 🏎️!

5 ⭐️ Thanks to Netgalley, Bruce Jones and Welbeck for an ARC in return for an honest review.

A complete guide to the 2025 season - it covers the teams, the drivers and the tracks (in order). There is a lot of insightful information and interesting facts which will entertain the reader. It's a page turner, very easy to read and can be breezed through in a few evenings. Not too overly formal, the colloquial writing style also makes it a good choice for younger readers.
There is a review of all the races from 2024 which is always fun to review and gives additional insights into the season ahead.

I haven't read the previous annual editions but I can't imagine this being a book to purchase every year. The driver bio covers their whole career so I presume what was said last year was also said this year (same goes for tracks). On track intros the author at times makes reference to certain points which is not shown in the book which can cause some confusion.

Overall a good book for beginners but perhaps not ideal for a more weathered F1 fan.
