Nice
I enjoyed reading this one. Though Kate got a little annoying at times and Maggie seems too smart to keep following her into sometimes absurd schemes. The rest of the characters I like them all.

Fans of the TV series Doc Martin and Midsomer Murders will find much to like in Deep-Fried Deception by Siena Summer, a well written light-hearted novel of the murder mystery genre set in a quaint seaside village in Cornwall. This is a classic ‘whodunit’ story surrounding the murder of a prominent local businessman whilst he was dining at a popular local restaurant. There are several possible suspects, and the identity of the murderer is revealed at the book’s end. The story line centres around the escapades of two ‘twenty-something’ cousins, Kate and Maggie (along with Maggie’s much-loved dog Buscuit, aptly named for his love of biscuits). The girls, much to the ire of the local police, assume the role of amateur sleuths to discover the truth and clear the name of the main suspect, their friend and fellow book club member Sam. The book provides a very easy read with an interesting mix of characters, plot twists and short chapters which help to build and maintain the reader’s curiosity and interest to the end. Highly recommended for light holiday reading.

Maggi works in a bookstore and makes the most amazing biscuits and while she and her family are eating at a local beach restaurant who shows up but Mr. Larkin the obnoxious realtor who try's to force everyone to sell their property he fakes an allergic reaction but seems someone tries to help him along to his death by adding some peanut flour. Maggie and her cousin Kate get deeply involved in the investigation even after they've been warned off. In spite of it all the killers are found. Really great read.

A thoroughly enjoyable read. I have recently read a lot of heavy books so this came along just at the right time. I wanted a book I could become engaged in but not to the point of having to read it in one sitting and I just love a mystery.
I enjoyed getting to know the characters (including the 4 pawed kind) and the interactions between them all. I wont spoil the ending by continuing, you will have to find that out for yourselves.

This book is the perfect holiday read. Actually, if you are not on holiday you will feel like you have been transported to Cornwall, which is almost as good. The perky characters carry the clever storyline through twists and turns, with some fun on the way. You will be keen to read more from Siena Summer

There was a murder and it was eventually solved, but too much of the book was about the main character's dog and every single thing it did. Also her sideline was baking and so much of the book was about her biscuits. Twenty-somethings should have had more sense than to intrude into a police investigation.

I found this book intriguing from the beginning. A very easy read with loads of interesting characters. It kept you in suspense until the murderer was disclosed.
The setting was a lovely little seaside town.
Would highly recommend 📚⭐️
