Tuesday Tombs’ greatest assets are her family and her genius mind. She’s a whirlwind of sass with a thirst for justice. Her latest target? To infiltrate Devil’s Rose MC. But things take a turn when she encounters Rhodie, the MC’s imposing Enforcer. His gruff exterior and soft spot for her throw a confusing wrench in her well-laid plans.
Rhodes ‘Rhodie’ Paxon lives by a simple loyalty, strength, and protecting his MC brothers. But when Tuesday, a neurospicy vigilante, bursts into his life, she upends everything he thought he knew about himself and what he wanted from his life.
Joining forces to fight against a shared enemy, Rhodie and Tuesday navigate their blossoming relationship, Russian Mobsters, a blood thirsty grandfather, and a penis loving fish.
Rhodie - Devil’s Rose MC is a 200+page blend of humor, romance, and a touch of torture. For 18+ audiences due to spice and violence with a curvy heroine, an alpha male, and a guaranteed HEA.
I don't even know where to start with this book! I love finding a brand new author that totally rocks it and this one was knocked solidly out of the park for me. I would have NEVER known this was a first time author based on the writing. Seriously. Just so many things I loved: great storyline, interesting characters, tons of laugh out loud moments, and it's all sprinkled with bit of gore, lol. It's well written, fast paced, and had a twist I never saw coming. And then lets talk tropes:
✅ Over the top, protective alpha hero (not alphahole) ✅ Neuro-spicy heroine (term borrowed from the author to be forever used in my vocabulary) ✅ Morally ambiguous heroine ✅ Super spicy smexy times that valued quality over quantity
I am so excited to see what's coming from this author. She did a great job of setting up an entire world where we want stories on EVERYONE. She also left us some pretty solid breadcrumbs of where she's heading, which I absolutely loved. The only thing a bit weird for me was that the story was told from MULTIPLE perspectives, like at least six people. Maybe weird is the wrong word. Definitely just different from what I'm used to seeing and not sure how I felt about it. With that being said, this book is going in my best of 2024 pile and I'll definitely be keeping my eyes open for her next book. Highly recommend!!
So this is one of those books that comes along sometimes and is so much more than the cover suggests. I was expecting classic MC, and it is, but it manages to ride the fence and create its own little subgenre too. "Rhodie" was MC romance, but also a black comedy that somehow gave contemporary Romcom feels, in between toture scenes. The characters are sweary, the violence is graphic and the sex is spicy, and still I can't describe it as 'dark'. But it works. The MMC is a rough biker, but is more Alpha-mallow than Alpha-hole. The FMC is quirky, sassy and borderline a serial killer. I haven't laughed out loud so much, at a book, in so long.
Romance trope: MC Series: Devil's Rose MC Length: 260 pages
Plot: Tuesday is on a mission; she wants revenge for the death of her parents. That's how she ends up a local MC clubhouse, spying on someone who is spying on them. When she meets the club, they're not sure what to think of her, but pretty soon, Rhodie, the enforcer, is stuck to her like glue. Her family shows up next, and it's a big party to find out who is behind the murder, the spying, and a lot of other crimes.
Commentary: This one was pretty funny. There were times when I thought Tuesday's psycho-ness was a little overdone. But I did enjoy the portrayal of her autism, and the fact that she and her family were very open about it and what it was like. I also liked that Rhodie was very matter-of-fact about it and it wasn't a deterrent to him in his pursuit of her. I did find it a little strange that Rhodie mentioned several times that they weren't a criminal sort of MC - but then they were gleefully torturing people. Bad people, sure, but still torture. Also, the large number of POVs wasn't my favorite and that's what mostly took that last star off. However, I enjoyed the story and the characters and will be interested to read more in the series.
This was the first book I've read by Cleo Browne and I know it won't be my last. Tuesday is a vigilante who crosses paths with Rhodie and the DRMC when they discover they have a common enemy. Tuesday has a hard time dealing with anyone but her brothers and grandfather and is surprised when the DRMC members embrace the her differences and treat her like she belongs.
This book is the start of a series, but the story is pretty much resolved and as there is the standard HEA ending since it is a romance novel. It was pretty much instant love/lust which I prefer over a slow-burn with lots of angst and there was no third act breakup. Rhodie was protective, morally grey, and took all of Tuesday's unique qualities in stride. Tuesday was a strong and morally grey badass who proved she could take care of herself.
This is a book I'll read again for sure which puts it at 5/5 and I've already downloaded the next in the series. There was a good mix of plot to spice with open door scenes that were pretty detailed so I'd put it at about 3/5 on my spicy scale.
This story is so different to others dark romance or MC romance. Maybe it's because of the FMC being "different" but it's something new to be reading an interrogation scene with a smile or a laugh.
Here we find an MC enforcer with instalust for Tuesday a curvy genius vigilante who loves to try new ways of torture for the criminals. And it's hilarious how he wants to protect here when she is strong and smart, maybe a bit clumsy.
I's a good fast read, I couldn't stop reading!! I would love to read more books about the Tombs brothers.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Make no mistake, this story is dark. But there is so much humor in it that sometimes it was easy to forget that there was gory torture and human smuggling going on in other parts of the story. There's also spice and a cute love story between a big biker and a tiny neurodivergent hacker. Just adorable.
Tuesday is an interesting character that is funny, brutally honest and pretty creepy at times. Rhodie feels the pull to Tuesday right away. Tuesday's brothers and grandfather add more depth to the story. The MC has some members that I hope het books. I enjoyed the storyline and am now following the author so I know when publishes the next book.
This book was chaotic in the best way. It's such a mix of genres! It's MC but comedic & also has mafia vibes 😂
I've not read anything like this! I absolutely adored the chaos of our FMC and due to her being on the spectrum it made everything with the romantic interactions that bit more wholesome! I loved this representation! I'm moving onto book 2!
I was laughing out loud from the first page. Although this book deals with some serious shit, the humour woven through it with Chewy's character and then Pops, took this book to another level. Autism/aspergers sensitively and courageously handled, giving us a heroine to love and cheer loudly for. Read this book if you love MC, Mafia and Bratva with seriously dark story lines. Then add in flowing descriptive text, lots of sexy spice and laugh out loud moments. This was something a bit different. Will be looking out for more from Cleo Browne.
This is brand new author to me and she did a wonderful job with this story. It was funny, dangerous moments, very quirky at times, but most of all entertaining and keeps you turning the pages. I totally adored Tuesday/Chewy and her clever mind. And Pops was just an added bonus to the story. Rhodie is the Enforcer of the club, but found himself dealing with Tuesday's quirkiness more often than not. The date was funny with both of them figuring things out, and then the excitement at the diner, lol.
This book was okay but I was more interested in reading more about some of the side characters than this particular book. There was almost A little too much going on. With A few too many characters that it didn't feel like an MC book but more A book with some MC characters in it. I only remember actually two MC members and the president as really being a part of the story with others just as names to get things done. There were some funny characters and plots so as A first book in the series it was pretty good. The romance between Tuesday and rhodie just felt like it fell by the wayside to introduce all the different people.
Cat’s Stats MMC/FMC- Rhodie and Tuesday Genre- MC Romance Length- 22 chapters and epilogue; about 250 pages Heat- ☢️☢️☢️☢️☢️ everything but the kitchen sink Series? Y Safety? N, but no cheating Triggers- graphic violence (including excruciating torture), S.A., graphic violence, language, graphic violence, explicit erotic content, graphic violence, kidnapping, and more graphic violence. Tropes- Badsass Heroine, Badass Grandpa, Black Comedy, Instalove (He Falls First), Meet Cute, More Triggers Than An NRA Swap Meet, Neurodivergent Heroine, That Didn’t Come From Amazon. Mewsings I loved this book! Loved it! I loved the heroine and her quirks (and her extreme intelligence and talent). Loved the hero, who is on my list of Ultimate Book Boyfriends. Loved the sidekicks and good guy side characters, especially Pops, whom I would not want to meet in a dark alley, but whom I would love to have as a dinner guest. This was a page turner that had me fascinated from page one. The plot was engaging (but violent). Added to the “Reasons I’m Probably Going to Hell” list is the fact that I found so much of this book to be hysterically funny (and I think that as more people read this book, I’ll have company there. We’ll form a club!). Even in the most violent parts (and this book was extremely, graphically violent) there was a lot of black humor. The ending was satisfying and opened the door for more books set in this universe. I’m about to go read August, Browne’s second book, and I don’t know how it can possibly compare to this one (but I’m hoping it will come close). I borrowed this book on KU and as soon as Double Points Day rolls around in Kindle Rewards, I’m buying it because I’m going to want to read it again and again. Can we talk about- the cover. Rhodie is described as having dirty blonde hair and that cover ain’t it.
3 Kindle I thought based on reviews I would find a new series. It didn’t do it for me. I was bored and finding so many characters hard to follow and having to take myself out for he story line to figure out who was who and what they had to do with the story. MC, russian mob, another MC, and the mc brothers also have a secured business and they are involved. so many moving parts it seems like it should have been longer. Also Femail mc was autistic. A lot going on and very vague. The ssex scenes were ok and explored into territory I enjoy but were brief and lacked the connection. Just not my jam!
Rhodes is being hunted on MC property by a woman who they capture and then her brothers show up because she is there to find out what Rhodes has to do with her parents being killed when she was a kid. Roads is clueless and they end up finding out he had a high school girlfriend who was somehow correlated to the same Russian mob that killed her parents. So she, the main female of character. Chewy is on a hacker and found out about roads that way, and then came after him.of course there’s instant attraction and they go after each other. Claims her she’s autistic and tries to fit into his world for the first time. She feels like she’s making friends. There’s weird torture scenes. Grandpa’s involved the brothers are involved. The male MC characters are involved so much moving parts in this book end she left a lot of nuggets for future books. Kind of rushed, but I will be reading more of this series.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
With a neurospicy FMC and a tough as nails biker expect shenanigans. The world would be a much more honest and hopefully better place if more people were neurodivergent/ neurospicy.
Tuesday Tombs works in the security industry alongside her older brothers. Adept at hacking she prefers to stick to White Hat hacking where possible because the dregs of humanity hang out on the dark web, although identifying scum does work in her favour because it puts them firmly on her kill list. In her spare time she tracks any leads to whoever was responsible for killing their parents in a home invasion several years ago. Her brothers support her endeavours, just as well because they usually do clean up duty.
Whilst tracking her latest target she encounters two men from the Devil’s Rose M.C., face first or rather face to chest. They aren’t happy about the intrusion and they apprehend her. Then things get interesting.
The Tombs family is like a breath of fresh air in literary terms. I’d describe it as M.C. lite but that could change further into the series. Despite the graphic elements it doesn’t really come across as gory more of a lighthearted fun read it’s either a masterful piece of writing or I’m just more weird than I thought. Either way it’s well worth reading.
Well that was a door bursting wide open approach at starting the Devil’s Rose MC series and let me tell you this is a must read. I absolutely loved Rhodie and Tuesday’s story ❤️❤️❤️ Tuesday known as Dayz by her blood brothers and Chewy by the MC brothers weaves her magic throughout the MC and generally everyone she meets, her sweet innocent demeanour wraps around people and draws them closer, she even managed to make me love her and her sweet, loveable, bad@$$ ways, she’s small and tiny, definitely a surprise package. Rhodie is hooked from their first meet up and although she can look after herself she has Rhodie’s, all his brothers, her brothers and their security business, Tombs security as well as some Bratva watching her back. This book has the pages flipping in double time, so entertaining. 100% recommend this book to everyone ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ you will not be disappointed 😎
What a ride this was! OMG Chewy!!! I'm absolutely obsessed with this character. Diagnosed with autism, Tuesday definitely has her quirks but... this woman is also a strong and smart badass. During her 'torture' moments I found myself smiling, laughing and thinking good lord. I mean she even had some burly MC men feeling a little squeamish. haha. I really enjoyed the instlalove between Rhodie and Tuesday. Rhodie was instantly drawn to her. He accepted all of her quirks and 'torture' craziness and never looked back. It was kind of funny how he wanted to be all protective alpha for her when really she didn't need it. Poor Rhodie! Being book 1 in a new series we get to meet a whole lot of new characters and some of these MC men have me excited of what's to come. The banter, the humour and the whole brotherhood was so fun and intriguing. A great start to a new series! I'm looking forward to Book 2!
This is, by far, my favorite read of the year. I absolutely love Chewy/Dayzy. She is my new favorite MFC. Close to my favorite character in a romance novel. Definitely top 10.
Rhodie is also a great character. He never shied away from Chewy's quirks. Yeah, he screwed up and let his mouth get ahead of his brain, but his heart was in the right place. It's got to be difficult to want to shelter and protect someone but also let them be independent and show how awesome they are without worry, especially for a natural protector. What I wished he would have realized sooner is that they protect each other. Chewy wanted to protect Rhodie just as much. They are an amazing couple, and I can't wait to read more from this author and this series as it grows.
If you love MC romances with strong heroines, this book is for you! Not only is there action and steam, there are some serious laughs to be had in here! Tuesday is a neurodivergent hacker with a passion for inventive ways of getting information out of people and taking out the trash (iykyk). Her search for answers when it comes to what happened to her parents leads her to the Devil's Rose MC, she meets Rhodie. He is so intrigued by her, loving her quirks. The cast of characters, the humor, the action all worked together to create a compelling and entertaining read. There is amazing chemistry between these two, so steamy! I had so much fun with this story, I loved every minute! I cannot wait for more from this incredible debut author!!
The problem with this book's characters is that there are no boundaries and no filter. We're talking about DIFFERENT organizations, who start working together, just because it happened to work on the same case. There is a lot of humor throughout the book, but when there's tooooo much humor it takes away from the story. All the characters (apart from one) are over thirty years old and still they appear to act middle school with all the snickering and smirking. Just because they are not above torture and killing, doesn't mean that they don't appear ridiculous with what comes out of their mouths. Since it's CB's first, I'll try the next one, because as a whole there was potential in the story. But there is a thin line between funny and cringey😕
How can you not love a character who has the "spatial awareness of a roomba?" For me, this was a great introduction to a new MC series pairing up Rhodie the biker who didn't know what hit him when he met Tuesday, er, Dayz, er, Chewy. It was fun watching his fellow bikers coach her on how to interact with Rhodie (remember the hug?), to seeing her enigmatic brothers adjust to seeing their beloved sister in a new light. And let's not forget Pops and Mad Dog. But it's not all laughs and giggles. Women are being snatched. By who? Why? You'll have to read the book to find out. And I hope you do!
If you like MC light-ish written with a natural sense of humor (think Mirrah McGee, Lola Wright, Jan Daelman), then this is a book for you.
First book by this author, and I see the growth coming.
Writing about MC is not an easy thing to do, and this author has potential in her storyline. What like most is that she writes about a woman who is not only a badass grey character but autistic...and the autism is clear but in the background of the her personality and the love that she exhibits and surrounds her.
Although this book is supposed to focus on Rhodie, it has several different points of view in each chapter. Each viewpoint is important to the progression of the story.
I am looking forward to more about this MC.

Tuesday is a woman who is unlike most women. She has a super brain which does not process emotions in the normal way. She enjoys torturing guys and is super equipped to fend for herself.
Rhodie is in an MC and has never met anyone like her before.
I thought Tuesday's character was way off in her torture fetish and found her character hard to like. She definitely had no filter. There were parts of the plot that were bizarre verging on the ridiculous, so to speak and I thought the dialogue was poor. There was an attempt at humour though. Too many different characters to process whivh trimmed them into 2D characters as there was little attempt to expand on them.
I couldn't put it down! I had to read what Tuesday was going to say or do next. And, Rhodie - LOL - never really phased by Tuesday's "quirks" or the situations she gets involved in (she has been this long before she met Rhodie and is still here). Seeing how Tuesday blooms because of Rhodie was enjoyable. I can't wait to see them in future Devil's Rose Books. I can't wait to read more about Tuesday's family and see how they are in action. I encourage everyone to give this author and this book a try. It does contain elements which can be triggering. You might want to read her TW or CW before jumping in.
They are as different as night and day and yet when they connect combustion takes place. She is caught infiltrating their compound while getting ready to take down her target. What happens next supercharges this story and takes it to the next level. Tuesday is a very special woman with a gifted set of skills. Rhodie is the enforcer of the Devil's Rose MC but when these two combine their skill set, they are truly deadly. This is a dark read and not for the weak of hearts.

I picked up the book on a rec by someone who said the h was similar to Dina from Heavy which I loved. She's autistic and very intelligent like Dina, she's on a quest to right a wrong done to a loved one like Dina, she's cute and different with a loving family support system like Dina but ummmm no lol. In all fairness this is a debut novel, I think this is my first time reading an author's debut novel so I'll just quit here. No rating for now 😭
