we finally know more about miko, and i am equal parts glad that she was truly a monster to be feared, but also a little let down of how easily hinako forgave everything. i mean it makes sense but i wish there was a little more turmoil… (can you tell i love angst?)
but 10/10 for the cliffhanger, and i want to know more about tsubaki as well!!!
and it is important to understand that in this story nothing is truly black or white, and the real emotions lay within the details, and selfishness is a key factor that is well explored from all of the characters’ experiences.
Why was that even a plot point?? That was so long ago! She has changed since then and done SO MANY good things for humans.
Pretty sure that bracelet is actually powerless, just a symbol that Miko gave 'power' to by thinking it has power, but it's nothing but a mere trinket. Well, of course, it's also the only thing she has left of her mentor, so even if it's actually powerless, it does mean a lot to her. Well, let's hope she uses her 'beastly nature' to kill that raccoon-girl, Tsubaki.
3 stars because of Miko's backstory and Shiori's absence, although Tsubaki's just as annoying (at least her reason is more valid than Shiori's tho).
“You can have your business with the fox, but watch your words when talking about my Hinako” 😭🙏🙏 Shiori protegiendo lo que es suyo JAHSJAH
tsubaki is a raccoon yokai who met miko when she was in the eating humans era, before being forced to save people after being captured by the monk. and tsubaki thought hinako would hate miko, little did she know hinako rly wants to die and loves having monster friends lol

i’m really happy that we got to see miko’s backstory!!! it was definitely darker than i thought it’d be… hinako’s face when that girl (tsubaki?) told her that miko left a young child behind and tore that child’s parents and siblings apart was just so… omg
but hinako’s and miko’s friendship is just so sweet and i’m glad that hinako accepted miko and her… very dark past lOL (´▽`ʃ♡ƪ)
