Everett Baptiste Wolfkill, Rett to his friends family, and teammates, is almost on his way home. Just another twenty-four hours and he'll be reunited with his two brothers. Waking up to find blood on his hands and a dead woman wasn't the way he hoped to start his day. In the middle of Venezuelan cartel territory, he has no choice but to run. Weeks of hiding, begging for and stealing food, until he finally finds himself in New Orleans. He's so close to home, he can smell it. Another hit
Don't know where Mary Kennedy comes up with her story ideas but each book is fresh with its story line. VG took up from their father's, uncle's and grandfathers and their woman the same each with a story and danger following them. Casey and Rhett story is the same but she helped him first. Lol . keep them coming Ms.Kennedy

I didn't realize that you really should start reading the Gray Wolf series from this author before this one. So I was a bit lost on who Casey is and how she is connected to the group. I'll go back to do that and then it looks like it's an every other type of thing, with the 2 series interspersed.
I have to give it to Rett at the start of this one. He managed to make it from Venezuela back to Belle Fleur on his own and it seems like mostly on foot. That is quite the feat, especially considering he was injured.
Casey and Rett were cute together, their first meeting memorable. Not sure I would have done what Casey did for a complete stranger. It all turned out ok and Casey was enamored with everyone at Belle Fleur and the place itself. I especially liked how Casey was with ghost Claudette and how she gave her something that she didn't realize she wanted.
Morgan and Kegger ended up being very interesting. My heart broke for what Morgan has been through and happy with where she is now and how her life will change.
I will say that the bad guys were a bit ingenious with what they did to be on the inside. That really takes commitment to do something like that.

Great!
I chose this rating because this was actually a pretty great book. I really enjoyed pretty much all of the characters, well there was a few of them that I didn't care too much for. I enjoyed Rett and Casey story. I think the author did a great job with putting these characters together. As always with this series his family had his back with what he was going through. I think Casey was amazing for helping Rett when he was in need. Great read! I recommend this book to all romance readers.

As always and amazing story
These men and women are amazing characters that Mary Kennedy has created. Seeing the little ones grown and finding love makes them even more special. To find a whole new family after losing her parents Casey is happy and Rett makes it special with his love for her.

She has done it again. These stories are so insightful and entertaining. You just fall in love with the family. You can't wait for the next book. If you haven't started this wonderful journey you need to.

Brilliant
As normal with this author I couldn't put the book down and need the next book. This author knows how to pull you into her stories and doesn't let you go till the end. This series gets better and better. Bring on the next

The shadow that ran through the last Gray Wolf story appears as himself now. Rett Wolfkill ran into trouble in Venezuela and believed he might have killed a woman. When he comes home, he finds the woman who had helped him and she's even more kind and beautiful than he remembered. He is in love with Casey, and she feels the same. Unfortunately, Rett is in trouble and needs his whole "First Nations" family to help.
