Infernal Bargain

What’s a grieving witch to do when making a deal with the Devil leaves you fighting for more than just your soul?

I thought summoning the Devil was a stroke of genius. Resurrect my gran, strike a quick deal, and no one would be the wiser.

Except, I forgot one crucial detail.

The fine print.

Now, I’m trapped in Hell, caught in a lust spell that makes denial impossible, and contract-bound to give Lucifer an heir.

I'm fighting not just for my soul but for something far more important — my freedom.

Infernal Bargain is an enemies-to-lovers paranormal romance between an outcast witch and the Devil. If you love fated mates, forced proximity and not-so-accidental pregnancies, this one's for you.

Infernal Bargain is a fast paced, deliciously steamy paranormal read about a deal gone wrong (and yet so very right) with the Devil (ummmm, the best kind??).

Selina has a gift for breezing through a world like it’s a taste tester and showcasing all the right hints to keep you coming back for more. I’m delighted to know this is a prequel, and with all the snippets we’ve seen of this world of Hell she’s constructed, I can’t wait to come back in the upcoming series and see it dive into detail!

Every tidbit had me hooked, and the story flowed smooth like butter, with the right amount of steamy, irresistible spice deliciously overlaid against the characters’ (futile) resistance to their own longings. Lucifer's shock and denial of his own feelings has the perfect amount of angst to keep you furiously turning the pages, and Bronwyn's grief and insecurities have a truly skillful amount of emotional punch given how short and fast-paced the book is! The characters are witty, the world feels real and enticing, and there are so many expert hints at an in depth backstory for this world that I can’t wait for more!

Do mind the triggers, especially if mutual dubious consent is one of yours (by way of the sex pollen trope and an accidental bond), and pick this one up if you’re in the mood for a delicious, spicy romance with the Devil that sets up an enticing paranormal world to follow (with reverse harem teased in the future!!).

Thanks so much Selina for the ARC! I’m leaving my honest review.

Talk about a literal deal with the devil! Loved how the author made the characters personalities shine right from the start- even the supporting characters (Mara is my fav!) True to the enemies-to-lovers trope, the buildup of Bronwyn & the Devil was addicting to read! I can’t wait to see what’s next from this author.

Very grateful to have been a part of the ARC team!

A spicy, fated enemies to lovers with a bargain between a witch and the devil; what more could you ask for?! I really enjoyed how smooth the writing flowed, along with the storyline. Some parts were a bit cheesy, but overall still endearing. I’ll be excited to read more from this author in the future!

A brilliant story by a new to me author.

Lucifer and a witch, caught up in a contract with more twists than either of the saw coming.

Forced together to produce an heir for Lucifer, or that's what they think.

I'm definitely looking forward to the next installement of this series.

Not really enemies to lovers. Not really forced proximity. Pregnancy trope is a minor blip. Most of the book is about the accidental soul bond formed between the MCs. They wrestle with how to get rid of it, then whether they really want to. Communication issues should not exist between a mind-reading deity and his fated mate, but annoyingly, they do. In a massive plot-altering way.

Infernal Bargain is LIVE!

This was such an unexpected joy of a book. I didn’t set out to debut with a love story between the Devil and an unsuspecting witch, but sometimes you just have to follow the muse where ever she wants to lead you. I’m so glad I did.

In Infernal Bargain, you’ll find:

😈 Witch/Devil pairing
😈 Forced Proximity
😈 Enemies to Lovers
😈 Accidental (but really not) Pregnancy
😈 Soul mate bonds
😈 Two delusional souls resisting fate (or the will of The Morrigan)

I don't consider this book dark but if you have triggers please read the trigger warnings on my website before diving in https://selinabevan.com/#triggers-tropes

“I want to make a deal.”

He sighed. “Of course, you do. You mortals are all alike.” He folded his arms across his broad chest and retracted his power, spearing me with those eyes again. I bit my tongue before I could demand he give it back. “Get on with it. I don’t have all day.”

“I want my grandmother back.”

He cocked his head to the side. “And you think I have her?”

I nodded. “You’re the Devil. She’s a witch. I know you do.”

Lucifer chuckled. “I’m flattered, petal, but there are infinite divisions of Hell. I am but one overlord. Your grandmother could be in any one of them.”

The confidence I’d built up to face him disintegrated. It took all of my strength not to let my shoulders slump in defeat. Any sign of weakness in front of this man — being — could spell my death.

If he didn’t have her, I’d have wasted all of this time and money to summon him for nothing. There wasn’t a spell in the book for summoning the other lords. It didn’t mention others.

“Don’t look so sad. I didn’t say I couldn’t help, just that I don’t know where she is.” His amusement danced around me, bolstering my spirits in a way I couldn’t understand.

“Then how?”

“You’re clearly a talented witch.” Something sparkled in his eyes, there and gone in a blink. “I can’t bring her to you, but you could… with the right spell.”

My eyes narrowed. “And you have such a spell?”

He nodded, his lips curling. “For a price, of course.”

“Of course,” I muttered, my tone dry. “Name your price, Devil.”

Lucifer studied me clinically, his gaze raking me from head to toe as he appeared to weigh his options. His power returned, poking and prodding me in delightful ways.

“Your firstborn child,” he finally said with a gravitas only the Devil could achieve.

I snorted. “That’s a bit cliched, isn’t it?”

Infernal Bargain isn't *good* per se, but it shows some promise. Initially both main characters show a decent amount of personality - a little too dependent on sarcasm for my tastes but nonetheless - and I was here for it. I enjoyed the heroine's sass and, honestly, the hero's attempt to kill her rather than be forced to bond with her (or anyone I guess) eternally, amused me. 'It's not personal', he says! I hate it when characters fall in that kind of instalove that just obliterates their whole personalities and I had hopes that these personalities would stay the course.

Alas, it was not to be. I feel like I missed the chapters where they decided they no longer hated each other and although I liked the whole that is nowhere near enough to make up for the personalities going AWOL.

Look - I do think the author has potential and if she puts the effort into maintaining her characterisation, fleshing out her secondary characters, leaning away from the instalove and into the humour, I think she has the potential to write something really fun.

So you're one of those that skip reading the fine print (aren't we all). Well you won't after reading this contract, I mean book!
How far would go to bring back a loved one? A deal with the Devil perhaps?

Welcome to Hell Bronwyn, you may get your Gran back but you got more than you bargained for! Quick paced, down and dirty (just the right amount of spice) story and a little oh, I'm intrigued at the end and will be watching for more books.

Is it for you...
A good amount of descriptive spiciness
Devil/witch - paranormal, fated mates, enemies to lovers
Forced proximity/pregnancy and a happily ever (for now?) after
Go ahead, give it a try! Its good practice for reading the fine print ;)

Desperate to get her only loved one back, Bronwyn had summoned the devil Lucifer himself to make a bargain to get her grandmother back. The bargain had unexpected consequences that led to Bronwyn being soulmatched to Lucifer. Bronwyn's character grew on me, it was hard to see how she could be extremely naive in thinking she could outsmart the devil. Once the story got rolling, the plot and characters were cute.

I truly enjoyed reading Infernal Bargain!!
Bronwyn, a witch, is grieving the death of her grandmother. She decides to summon Lucifer to strike a bargain to bring her grandmother back to life. A deal with the Devil definitely did not turn out as Bronwyn expected.
I loved the relationship between Bronwyn and Lucifer. Despite the animosity, the romance between them was steamy and magnetic. I enjoyed seeing their relationship evolve from hate to love. The story and world-building were amazing!

I LOVE THIS BOOK!

"The Devil is in the details." That is an UNDERSTATEMENT!
A witch desperate to resurrect her only family. A deal with the Devil. What could go wrong? SO. MUCH. From the moment these two meet the hellfire ignites. I loved both their journeys, watching them grow together. I am really hoping there will be more to this series!

Where can I sign up for my own Devil??
Who knew that I would be jealous of an enemies to lovers situation with the literal Devil?! Not me. That's for certain. But I was. Bronwyn and Lucifer. What a delicious duo. I love the characters. I love the plot. And I was absolutely engrossed by the magnetic romance between the witch and the Devil. Loved this book and will take a warning with me. ALWAYS read the fine print ;)

These are notes for me to remember what the book was about and why I gave it the number of stars I did.
So this was about a witch calling the devil for a bargain to get her grandmother back, only to be taken down to Hell because she didn't read the fine print.
I didn't like the lust spell. That made me feel icky? Which is weird cos i like smut, I even like cnc/dubcon in the right environment. It just felt a bit yucky for me and I don't know why
The story flows well, the other smut was hot.
It wasn't bad! It just didn't blow my socks off

I found this on Facebook because of the meme that inspired it. I read it and recommended it to my friend because I’m suffering from Hazbin Hotel brain rot and the storyline was really freaking close to what I wanted (except with Alastor, don’t judge me. I have a soft spot for that radio demon.)

I couldn’t stop from picturing the other Lucifer Morningstar, thanks brain rot, but yeah. I really really liked this.
