*I received a copy of the eBook in exchange for an honest review from the author.*

Volume 2 of Dark Layers will not disappoint. The story becomes complicated as the layers of Elijah’s soul begin to reveal themselves to Anile. Just when you think that the plot is clear there is a shocking twist and turn. Anile does not wear rose coloured glasses and with confidence she demands the truth. Will she get the answers to her questions? Does she want to know the answers, as they may be scandalous?
Move over Christian Gray and Gideon Cross and hello Elijah Darks! Will Anile ever recover from ‘Darks flu’?
Looking forward to Volume 3.

This books starts off where booked one ended.....Anile is stuck in the room waiting to be let out and Elijah has left! (i hate him)

Once out she has to decide if she should go back to work or not...(Elijah's told her not too but who is he to say she's no longer going to be working there, over what they discussed in that room) and let me tell you im happy with what she decides!

"Sign them papers and shove them in his bastard mouth!" ha ha love it!

"there is no pleasing you and to be frank, im glad i will no longer be nested in your dark den! You cannot do anything to me anymore!" ...whooho thats it girl tell him what you think!

I hate Elijah and even though we get to see more of him in this book, the more i read the more confused i was.

We also find out more about Anile and meet her father(what a cruel man) she has no one at this point and i was so sad hoping something would go right for her.

Obviously it wouldn't be a romance book if Elijah and Anile never spoke again so as you can predict 'he's back!' arrrr still don't like him at this point in the book..... I love these books and this is why i just couldn't resist reading vol 2 (you jump from loving one then the other)....

There are moments in this booked that left me screaming at my kindle and getting emotional the next. i love and hate these characters from one minute to the next. but its worth the read this book gives us a lot more information from the first and there is a lot more story to get your teeth into.

THE ENDING...........NOOOOO i hate that i have to wait.....

"i sit up trying to bring myself back to reality and notice a brown envelope lying on Elijah's bedside cabinet with my name written on the front" ........my brain hides as i mentally register whats in front of me" OH MY WORD!

i was left shouting what, no way, why and resisting the temptation to chuck my kindle across the room....i don't understand and i can only imagine what Anile was thinking.... its a must read people!

Need Vol 3 ...asap!!

I received this book in exchange for an honest review.

I really enjoyed part 1 of this story, so I was stoked to have to opportunity to read and review for A L Gray.

This story begins where book 1 finishes, with Anile left by Elijah after she tells him she is a virgin. She is left to go home alone with Elijah's driver, and unknowing whether she really even had a job as a lawyer with Dark Lawyers. After a weekend pitty party, much to much alcohol and a run in with a hot bar owner.... Unbeknownst to her, Caster is Elijah's brother, and a heated discussion when Elijah shows up where Anile is trying to forget him just ruins the whole night.

Anile gets the Neanderthal treatment from Elijah as he struggles over his feelings for Anile. She doesn't know what and who he really is, and although she knows she should walk away from him, her feelings stop her. She loves him, but he doesn't seem to reciprocate.

Once the truth of Elijah's life comes to the forefront, Anile realizes she is in deeper than she knows but not enough to walk away.

It all comes down to whether Elijah can really be with Anile, love her and take a step back from his other life....

Part 3 & 4 are still to come in this story...

Dark Layers (Vol 2)
A.L. Grey
4 out of 5 stars

Dark Layers by A.L. Grey uses this volume to reveal some really important secrets. You are still left with more questions, even though some of your older questions are answered!

Elijah Darks reveals some really intense secrets to Anile by the way of “different” sort of relationship. “10 Truths and 10 Dares” are given to each other, and the punishment for lies is severe! Anile must now find the courage to move past the truth and prove her love to Elijah. And Elijah needs to prepare to put everything on the table to protect Anile and prove his love to her.

I got this book from the author in exchange for an honest review

I liked this book bcuz
~Anile finally has sex with Elijah (near the end)
~the plot seems cool
~both main characters finally confessed they love each other
~Elijah's protectiveness

I'm not sure whether i liked this book bcuz of
~the freemason thing
~some of the story is confusing
~little to none bdsm

There were some minor grammatical mistakes but nothing major.

Conclusion: I'm not very sure whether I like this book or nt, but I'm willing to continue reading the sequel to find out. ^^

I'm obsessed with the characters! I love how AL Gray goes more in depth with her characters. I really feel their emotions. I couldn't stop reading towards the end and I didn't get much sleep. Dark layer series is the type of books you get sucked into and you can't stop reading! I've read this book in a day and I am very very limited on time but I lost sleep just to finish this book. so grateful that AL Gray gave me the opportunity to honestly review her books. Thank you can't wait for Volume 3!!

Review in exchange for book :)

well, as much as i enjoyed v1, v2 didn't disappoint

More background on the characters which was much appreciated. Loved the twists in plot and the tender moments as well as the air of anticipation

my only niggle with these books is the length as am reading them far to quickly!!
