First Things First: Love God, Love Others

It seems that for most of our adult life from early teens to later, we as humans, are often searching and striving to find our purpose in this world. Society wants to jump in with a very loud clash convincing us that our purpose is to make large amounts of money and acquire all the material possessions that we can regardless of the cost. Our families chime in and want us to find the one thing that makes us the happiest and the most fulfilled. The academic world puts their hat in the ring by influencing us to have all the right degrees or qualifications to help us find our purpose. But God desires more than anything for us to find our purpose in Him and His work.

This back-to-the-basics study is a journey to finding our purpose in God. He is waiting for us to call on Him and He welcomes us with open arms. In Matthew 22, Jesus is questioned by a Pharisee as to what the greatest commandment is. Jesus responds with, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. And the second is like You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Everything boils down to these 2 Love God, Love Others.

This study will guide you on how to love God from a new and fresh perspective, and then how to love those around you in a practical way. May God touch your heart as you begin this step in hopefully a new direction.
