Running into a strange white wolf isn’t an everyday occurrence in Derek’s life. Neither is finding a naked—and beautiful—woman alone in the park. Had the wolf been an omen of what was yet to come? Because since meeting Athena, Derek’s life’s been upended.
Chased by thugs and with a ransom on her head, Athena isn’t divulging why she’s a wanted woman. Derek helps her anyway since he’s a gentleman and she keeps his curiosity—and other things—piqued. Besides, he’ll be damned if some greedy doctor is going to kidnap and experiment on innocent people in his own backyard.
But he can’t help but notice Athena’s great sense of smell, or her proclivity for chasing rabbits, or the way she disappears every full moon…
Turns out his Athena’s got a hairy secret.
A howling whopper of one.
Guess he’d better stock up on flea collars and kibble because My Girlfriend is a Werewolf.
Hello, my name is Eve Langlais and I am an International Bestselling author who loves to write hot romance, usually with werewolves, cyborgs or aliens .
I should warn you, I have a twisted imagination and a sarcastic sense of humor something I like to let loose in my writing. While well known for my shifter stories, I am also extremely partial to aliens, the kind who like to abduct humans and then drive them insane...with pleasure. Or do you like something a little darker, more serious? Then check out my cyborgs whose battle with humanity have captivated readers worldwide.
5.5🌟 I finished this book in 1 day. Well, worth it, so good from beginning to end. The story, the characters the Grandma and Grandpa were hysterical. This book was so fun to listen to.
“I come from a no-filter family who doesn’t do any of this modern woke-language shit. Meaning anyone I do end up with has to be able to handle me using words like fuck, shit, dude, and chick."
None of those things have to do with being woke. This woke 53 year 9ld woman uses those words and so do a lot of others.
This book had potential but there's inconsistencies and lots of grammar mistakes. Missing words for sentences to make sense. And acting like women don't swear so Athena is special lol

My Girlfriend is a Werewolf de Eve Langlais serie A Moonstruck Mating libro 1
Argumento:
Lo he lamido.
This book was both enjoyably cheesy and painfully eye-roll inducing and I'm not sure how I feel about it.
What I liked: The concept is one of those cheesy, fun paranormal reads that you dive into for a comfort read. Like watching a bad 2000's werewolf movie that you KNOW is garbage but you still love it. I liked the paranoid, take-no-shit personalities of Grams and Gramps, and I liked that Derek accepted Athena for all her little quirks before even knowing her "secret". Even the slightly predictable storyline with the doctor was still fun to read, even though it's been done many times.
What I didn't like: Oh god, the stereotypes. Like other reviewers have said, it was trying to be "woke" and "anti-woke" at the same time or something. They were accepting and open-minded about people who could turn into wolves but also doomsday preppers who thought modern society were all weak (Boomer mentality). But the quote that was mentioned in some reviews:
“I come from a no-filter family who doesn’t do any of this modern woke-language shit. Meaning anyone I do end up with has to be able to handle me using words like fuck, shit, dude, and chick."
Umm... I'm confused as to how his definition of "woke" directly pertains to swear words. Nowhere in my experience has being "woke" meant you can't say fuck. It seemed like the author was trying to paint the family a certain way, but it was just messy and inconsistent. The characters themselves were funny, but when they actually described themselves, it was just painful.
And while somewhat funny, the references to Athena quite literally acting like a dog were just too much. Shaking her leg and chasing rabbits?? I read a LOT of shifter books and that was just painful for me. I especially know that Eve Langlais has a ton of shifter books, and I believe most of the shifter characters don't behave like Labradors.
This review was unnecessarily long, but it was just annoying with how exaggerated the stereotypes of both main characters (and their families) were and I don't know how to explain things in a concise way, oops.
Great book. I really enjoyed listening to this book. This started off exciting within the 1st minute and continued to be so throughout the entire book. Athena escaped her kidnappers who want to run test and expose her as a werewolf. She ran right into Derek who then takes her in to hide her from the bad guy. I really liked watching their relationship blossom. Lots of action and fun side characters. Love his grandparents who are quirky doomsday preppers. This is a fun read and I recommend this book and series. I can see me listening to this again.
I loved these characters! The banter between them was amazing (not the first book I've read by this author whose characters had great banter). While I felt the climax was a little over-dramatic, it fit with the characters and the story-line. I absolutely love Grams. I also loved the fact that this had the FMC was the werewolf and the MMC was human. Nice change. I typically don't continue series where the first book is free/nearly free just because they aren't usually good enough for me to care, but I definitely will be continuing this series.
Athena fled her kidnapper, but she cannot go home. When she is thinking about her knew strategy she sees Derek in park. And she decided using the opportunity. Meeting beautiful naked woman in park in the middle of night isn´t usual. But at least this one doesn’t seemed crazy as the last one. But from who is Athena running? And why she is interested in him and not his popular cousin? Crazy, funny and action packed story, which make You laughing out loud.
Literally, the characters were great, the romance between a werewolf girl and a human guy was great, the story was great, his grandparents were fuckin badass and the ending was a masterpiece.
Point me wrong, but that's my opinion. I loved it!
It's just sad we get less of those paranormal romance books between werewolf girl and a human guy, really rarely.
It took me three attempts to finish this. The beginning was hard to get into and I found the writing style a bit clunky. I am glad I finished it though: the ending was great and I definitely warmed to the characters, especially Grams and Gramps. I feel like Frank needed a bigger comeuppance after he betrayed Athena: a one liner about him getting jail time at the end wasn’t enough. I’ll give Ares book a go at some point soon. The teaser for it at the end of the book drew me in.

This was a good natured, funny, and irrelevant story. I am a fan of Eve's books and this was no exception. The characters are well developed although they were a little out there. Over all if your looking for a fun page turner this is it. I'm looking forward to reading the next one.
Stole the spotlight. They arrested funny. Did not understand why they settled in city at end. There must be a commuter train line or small town closer to either farms they could commute to work to and from. Or since he is only grandchild live near to farm and work there during growing seasons and work odd job during rest of time. She could work in testing labs
Athena is a wanted woman and has just escaped her captors when she runs into Derek. Athena needs to desperately keep her secrets hidden, and Derek and his crazy family are her perfect match to help her do that. The funny dialog and predicaments really make this story a keeper. Now I neeeeeeed book 2! ;D Loved Derek's grandparents! Too funny.
I loved that this book had a perfect blend of heat, fun, action, and intrigue! These two (she’s the shifter) meet under different circumstances, but we soon realize, they are both a little different. Wonderfully matched, they were definitely (and their family) entertaining 😊
Fun story with a pet peeve that happened once but bugs me. Woke is not a replacement for the term political correctness. It's just not. It is about "waking up" and becoming actively aware of the crap bureaucracy and LEO shovel out on the populace. It's roots lie in black history.
I absolutely loved this book. I love Athena and Derek and both families. What a great storyline. I thought what the families did to cover their tracks was fantastic!! I can’t wait to read the 2nd book. Ares story is next. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰💜💜💜💜💜😊😊😊😊😊
Cute storyline with nothing behind it. I accidentally bought this, so I figured I better read it. I did laugh. I loved Grams. But there was nothing to the plot and nothing to the romance, either. Not even one dimensional, if that's possible.
Tenia años sin leer a Eve Langlais. Este libro tiene la misma esencia de los de Lola Glass pero sin todo el estira y afloja entre los protagonistas que la caracteriza.
I was wary when they first met but they were so easy to follow and fall in love with. This is the 2nd series I’ve found by this author and she has not disappointed.
