Alexander Montgomery is living life well as a billionaire playboy in Chicago, until he fake marries a stunning social worker, Tanya Carter, as a fundraising stunt at a charity event.

Read on for a BWWM, billionaire romance, accidental marriage, opposites attract, forced proximity, marriage of convenience, over 40, part of the BWWM new releases.
Alexander is a Billionaire and Tanya is a social worker. They meet by chance at a benefit where they play act a wedding in front of the crowd. Little did they know that since the actual mayor officiated the fake wedding it may be binding (yes you have to suspend your belief a little on this one). In any events, since Alexander’s father put a clause in his will that in order to fully inherit the family business he must marry and remain married for 1 year without an annulment or divorce, Alexander has to convenience Tanya, who is almost allergic to money, that she can stay married to Alexander and help him save his inheritance.
This story was way too short, and I really didn’t understand Tanya’s extreme hesitance to be around wealth or money. Some hesitation makes sense but her panic and almost fear of not just Alexander but of somehow being a part of his world to the point that it was paralyzing her to make decisions really needed an explanation of some kind. It was a great premise, I just wish it had more to the story.

I will not spoil it, but I rate this a 5 stars.
This was definitely a book you have to read with an open mind and heart. This book is a very enjoyable and engaging read. From beginning to ending, it’s a wonderful journey of discovery.
Tanya and Alexander are truly star crossed. To tell the truth, their story is definitely not lacking of chemistry and this book delivers.
I am so extremely excited to see what’s coming up next for the BEC.

Let's call it fate. It started out slow, but picked up. What started out as a mistake, turned their lives upside down and back again. It sucked that her personal life bled into her professional life and greed people came out. But again fate, because that led her to the opportunity to start the foundation that she had dreamt of. I wanted to know who the snitch was... thought it was her friend. I did enjoy that she was upstanding and not money hungry and not trying to leverage a deal for him to stay married to her. They geniually fell in love. And screwed Steve in the process.
This is the first story I've read by Jasmine Hartley! I loved it!!! I am looking forward to reading all of her past and future stories! (In the first chapter when Tanya was getting dressed for the gala,, there was an error. The bedroom and her office were listed as where she was getting dressed)
This book took me by surprise in a good way. First, the shocking events that Alexander and Tanya found themselves in. That I did not see coming. The chemistry better between Alex and Tanya was 🔥. After all the drama I was happy when Alex and Tanya finally got their HEA.
The write up for this book was good hence purchasing several books on the series, sadly after reading this book I think I may have been hasty. I don't like giving bad reviews to an author's hard work but this book just did not do it for me. Nice characters, but I found the storytelling boring it just did not flow for me.
These 2 not only needed each other but wanted each other. While not the norm, their meeting and marriage was ment to be. They each helped fill that missing piece. Glad it wasn't more dramatic than necessary.
This was pretty good, I love that he so supportive and is determined to win her over, his romantic gestures were nice. I love that she is cautious and compassionate.
I enjoyed reading the love story of Alexander and Tanya. It began as a fake marriage and developed into a real one. This novel contains drama, intrigue, determination, persistence, agreement, hope, Faith, dreams and finding love in unusual situations. I will be recommending this book to everyone I know!!!!
Alexander Montgomery was a billionaire playboy whom his father tried countless times to get him to settle down to no avail. But, he found a way. Alex had to get married and stay married in order for him to inherit the company his father worked so hard to make successful. So, when he found himself in a fake marriage that was really real, he had to find a way to make his new bride, social worker Tanya Carter agree to the situation. Just like money draws out all kinds of people, Tanya had to deal with people coming out of the woodwork for money and Alex had to make sure his selfish cousin couldn't end up with his father's company.
In the end, Alex and Tanya fell for each other and got what they needed, their HEA.
THIS WAS, AN EASY QUICK READ. I just didn't feel the chemistry between Alex and Tanya but I did understand Tanya's hesitancy.
