Demonic possession, Countless cinematic references, vomit filled pillowcases, the intention to love, and the intention to be loved. Sometimes those voices in our heads tell us to do all the wrong things, but in all the right ways. The story is split into two perspectives and follows "I" and "She" in a post punk comedy/horror/romance novella with a price tag akin to a pumpkin spiced latte.

I loved Comeau' s writing style and sense of humor. Rotary is not your typical love story and that's what makes it great. Though the story was confusing at first with the alternating views of the couple, it still kept me entertained. My only complaint is that the story was short, I was hoping it would be longer. If you like reading books out of the norm then you will like this book.

this was a really great book. it was brief and charming and times horrifying. At other times horrifying in its sadness.

Comeau's writing style is beautiful. It adds a brilliant new depth to the story to read it through the eyes of multiple persons. The book is dark and romantic, sad and poetic. It's a refreshing change of pace from the mundane dribble of romantic comedies, phoned-in dramas, and Oprah-endorsed "thought-provoking" lifestyle changers. I hope that he will continue to publish and I can't wait to read what's next! Highly recommend to anyone looking for something smart and unique.
