Every step away from Stone King and his magnetic brothers is a brutal blow to my heart. But I have to protect my son and my younger siblings, who risked everything to rescue me.

But as dangerous as King territory was, far worse dangers lurk ahead of us on the road trip from hell. Our goal is to start a new life in California, but we’re dogged by shifters and vampires who are obsessed with my so-called unnatural beauty.

On the run, secrets are revealed. I may not be able to bear the discovery of who betrayed Brennan and me… but I will do everything I can to protect my traitor from Stone’s wrath.

Ghosts chase us by day and haunt me by night. As shifters and vampires close in on us, I have to call on Shaw, Cole and Liam. Each of these men has strengths that may save us—and flaws that may break us all apart.

In the end, there’s no escaping Stone King. Fate has brought me and these men together. And together, we will face the ghosts of our past.

If we fail each other, those ghosts will drag us into the grave.

Another cliffy- but this one made me so happy 🥺

I loved the storyline. Amelia (FMC) was so strong and powerful. She’s protective of her child and did whatever she needed to for him to be safe even if others didn’t see that, which I admired. She had really come into her own in this book. You could definitely see a lot of character development from the first book to this one.

Her relationship with the men were all fire honestly. My fondness for them has grown to obsessed (except Stone. STILL. Ugh. Unforgivable, and typical alpha-always thinks he’s right).

Though there were many great fast-paced action scenes here, there were some that I felt were unnecessary to the story because it ultimately didn’t make any sort of impact to the characters or plot except to make the book 75+ pages longer? We did get some Rogue Wolfe POVs here though, so that made up for it.

Overall, it was a great follow up and I’m excited to see where the next book takes us. I loved how this one ended.

I really liked book 1 in this story, but wasn’t super excited to find out that book 2 started involving vampires and fae into the mix. If I’d know when I read book 1 that it was going in that direction I may not have picked it up in the first place. Book 1 was a solid paranormal shifter romance, but switching up the magic system and adding fantasy elements in book 2 threw me off. I think what was more frustrating was that the weird vamps looking for a baby incubator seemed like a wholly unnecessary aspect of the plot. They fade to the background for the majority of the book, and only pop up to explain the existence of Wolf and why he’s following Amelia- but all of this could very easily have been explained within existing shifter lore (such as Grims, Dark wolves, Hellhounds) rather than creating this whole side plot out of nowhere of vampires desperate to have babies to raise. It just felt like it didn’t fit with the pre-existing world that was built in book 1 and seemed to take away from the main story that’s ongoing. I liked Wolf being there, I just think there were other options for how he got there and why he was still there. There were a couple issues with continuity and minor plot holes throughout the story, but nothing really crazy though or worth mentioning.

I did enjoy the story overall even though I was hesitant when I saw the direction the vampire drama was taking. I think the fact that their creepy plot faded to the background and the main story focused on the pack drama and dynamics helped improve my enjoyment. The story is definitely action-packed, there are only a few slower moments, but quite a few good, exciting events throughout. There is a good balance with the plot and the steam. Even though I’m still hesitant on the vampire plot that seems like it’s going to be a big part of the 3rd and final book, I can’t help but want to know what happens next.

Love this

I absolutely adore Amelia. After the way book one ended I was so excited for this one to come out. And it does not disappoint what so ever. Twists and turns will keep you turning the pages and keep you on the edge of your seat.

a little dragged out

This book was a little dragged out for me. I started speed reading towards the end. Man, Amelia acted like such a b* to Stone in very conversation they had. It was like she just couldn’t help it. Shame.

Same thing as book one but in this one the writing kind of bothered me. Also the timing for things was just off. Like they were driving all day and night and it made it seemed like they were driving for days, but it took another person just one day. Just didn't really add up.

The Unbound Moon is the second book in the Darkest Mark series. This series is sooo good!! The Unbound Moon cannot be read as a standalone as it is a continuation AND ENDS ON ANOTHER CLIFFY! This is such a unique story. Normally, in shifter stories, the MC normally leaves behind a loved one and fights their way to get them back. This one, the MC escapes from danger WITH their loved ones and keeps them safe. It is SUCH a breath air.

Amelia is such a strong, resilient character. She does have her moments where she does get a bit overbearing but still I looove her character. Liam, Shaw, Cole and Stone, ABSOLUTELY SWOON-WORTHY! They each have their own unique personalities, yet they all meshed soooo well!! Highly recommended!

I love a good shifter book and this one has been great! I was sucked into the first one and I've been a bit slow reading this one, but I was never bored with it. I did guess one of the twists, so now I'm curious as to how it's all going to work. Excited for the next one!

Overall, I enjoyed the writing style and the plot. I just had a few grievances with some characters that bumped the book from five stars to four.

Amelia:
a tough woman
Does she even really like Liam? There’s two scenes of her making fun of his driving, but not in a loving and teasing way. She just complains in her head, which feels worse. She calls most of her interactions with him awkward, yet claims to love him? She gets disappointed when he can’t use his powers that well, too. Their morals don’t match either. He’s a pacifist whereas his killing spree turned her on 💀. And, when she got upset that he felt bothered with killing?? He’d be better suited with someone who appreciates all of him and sees things similarly. Their relationship is cute at times but seems forced overall.
I liked her sparring growth
Her trauma is fleshed out throughout the book. I appreciate when the authors don’t automatically heal the FMC’s in the presence of their love interests.
This one may be controversial…but she should leave Cole alone 🫣 enabling his presence in an environment he’s not fully appreciated is frustrating. He’s a grown man, so he can do whatever he wants, but I think he deserves more than being a glorified babysitter. And she still has the audacity to get upset with him when she’s sleepwalking, yet in the same vein tries to tell him his purpose isn’t solely to protect her??

Shaw:
he’s funny
he’s charismatic
perhaps afraid of commitment but willing to do it

Stone:
more tolerable in this book
Growth???
The scene where he marks Amelia is so cringe since he had to leave right after😬 I could just feel the tension. It got resolved tho?? Not with a full conversation but Amelia’s actions claimed him as a mate, too.
I don’t like how he treats Teresa and Cole
Is the rest of the pack okay? He’s never depicted engaging in other responsibilities around the pack

Liam:
he’s sweet
But is he a reliable narrator? Everyone loves to point out how he acts more confused than he really is, so are they just judging him or do they have a point? Is he just lying all the time? For these reasons, I get more lost with his behavior than with his words. His words don’t seem thattttt confusing for everybody to constantly point it out. Sometimes they’re pretty self-explanatory
I love the moments where he stands up for himself
“It’s not good enough to love someone if you don’t even like them” hits hard!!!

Teresa:
loved her
I like how she’s not just Stone’s employee, but also a leader for the Cubs
I like the childhood memories between her and Stone
She’s pretty fledged out for a side character with purpose beyond the FMC
Another potentially controversial take, buttttt I don’t think she has to like Amelia. Everyone keeps pushing for it, but as long as she's somewhat polite, I think that’s enough.
I would totally love to see her and Rose’s relationship grow more

Cole:
he’s nice but I think he’d benefit from finding purpose beyond Stone and the King family
The scenes where he feels left out are gut-wrenching
I guess the threesome he had with Stone and Amelia is the olive branch?? But I don’t think one intimate moment is going to solve years worth of imbalance in Stone and Cole’s relationship.

Rose:
Although her betrayal hit hard at first, it’s not difficult to understand that she was a literal child with no clue of what could happen. Any child should feel comfortable confiding in a parent. I found myself blaming her mom more than Rose. Her mom was the one who told Nathan, not Rose. It was weird when no one saw it that way.
I’m loving her growth in the girls group with Teresa

Aiden:
not much to say
He’s been slighted by amelia’s distrust, but doesn’t hold it against her

Lawson:
hope there’s more of him in the next book

Brennan/Wolf:
This part felt the most intriguing since his new reality is nothing like the Stone pack’s dynamic.
He’s a bit creepy ngl
He did commit SA by engaging with Amelia without consent. Hard to imagine how this aspect will get ‘resolved.’ Amelia doesn’t mention it again, but I’m not sure her thoughts on it.

Karissa:
not much to say. She’s barely in the book
She’s been reduced to the family’s personal chef
She’s so excited to have Amelia back but there aren’t scenes of the two of them hanging out or having a conversation

This is the second book in a 3-book series. The Unbound Moon kicks off immediately following the cliffhanger from The Darkest Mark.

Amelia has escaped the King pack with her siblings and son. She is desperately hoping to find safety in California. As she travels, she finds that her journey is not going to be easy. The King brothers want her to come back to their pack. Her old pack is still obsessed with trying to drag her back to them. Her abusive ex-husband may still be alive. And now she discovers that strangers wielding magic – and possibly vampires – are also after her for reasons she doesn’t understand.

All Amelia wants is to be safe and to raise her son in an environment where he can thrive and grow up without living in an endless cycle of violence. Her heart would also like the King brothers & Cole, but she knows that she’d have to give up her freedom and return to their violent shifter world in order to have them. But is her freedom worth the risk she’s taking with her life, her son’s life, and the lives of her siblings? Should she return to the King pack for the safety they can provide, or continue to risk tragedy in hopes of achieving her independence?

I love how the author is able to create relationships amongst Amelia and her men in such a way that they are all so individual. The ways that they each see, respond to, and work through Amelia’s trauma – and their own – are so realistic. Just like in the real world, some people can empathize, others sympathize, others deny or ignore. Sometimes you can explain your trauma in ways that others can understand you better, and other times you can’t. Some people will respond in ways that you need or want them to, but others have to deal with it in their own way. I want to be intensely frustrated with Stone at times for his stubbornness and with how he acts with Amelia, but because the author does such a great job of letting us see Stone’s own feelings, experiences, history, and guilt, I can completely understand his reactions and responses to Amelia’s. Because of his own feelings of guilt and loss, he has assigned himself the impossible task of keeping his loved ones safe – even at the expense of their – and his own – happiness, simply because he can’t handle the idea of them being hurt or lost to him. He is smart enough and aware enough to know that he’s hurting them in the process, but he can’t help himself.

I love these stories so much – I can’t wait for book 3 to see how everything resolves!

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "UNBOUND MOON" Your hooked from the start with Amelia running from King Pack her brother Aiden & sister Rose pick her up all while Stone, Shaw, Liam & Cole as well Teresa try up catch her before she leaves their territory.
Amelia, Dylan, Aiden & Rose are all together at a restaurant in neutral territory when two guys approach her while leaving telling her she's beautiful & understand why the Vampires want her to her surprise she's never seen a Vampire or why they'd want her Rose steps between them while Amelia rushes Dylan to the car followed by Rose & take off but something is terribly wrong with Rose.
Rose is driving when all of sudden she goes catatonic swerving they rush her to hospital but they say she's in a coma, later Amelia finds out she's been enchanted by Vampire Magic, she leaves Aiden with Rose & takes Dylan to a motel that's when Liam finds her.
Liam takes Amelia to drop off Dylan so Cole can take him back to King Pack territory so Shaw, Liam & Amelia do the Witches bidding to get a dagger back from her ex-boyfriend which could've killed them they need the potion to fix the Vampire enchantment on Rose to wake her then they'll head back to King Pack territory.
Amelia learns that Nathan is still alive putting her in danger they get chased by allies to Longroad Pack when things get bad their run off the road & surrounded the true Liam brings out his monster & takes out 2 dozen wolves to save them as Shaw was injured everyone was so shocked to see what he did his powers were so unexpected.
I definitely recommend up get this riviting story the Rogue wolf is still following Amelia, the guys are making their feelings known, each has such different personalities but Liam is my favorite he's so mysterious making you want know more about what he is & how their bonded to Amelia is unusual, so baby unanswered questions.
I'm so looking forward to "THE BRIGHTEST BONDS" after that cliffhanger need ASAP to see what happens next such an addicting read you can't put down.
ABSOLUTELY A MUST HAVE READ 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤

Waiting until the second book to world build is a choice. We don’t even really know the reason behind the first book’s title until it’s vaguely mentioned around 70% into this one.
The title of this remains nonsensical.

It’s also mostly spice.
To the point where I was skimming because it mostly goes the same way every time, regardless of the person.

There’s so much still left up in the air, dangling in the form of a big question mark, that I don’t really care what other big things are being repeatedly injected into the FMC.

She’s also kind of being assaulted?
Because everyone’s too stupid to perceive the plot twist we all clocked in the first book.

Climactic clashes are instigated and ended within paragraphs.

There are multiple editing errors, where sometimes the men get accidental flashes of their own feminine bits, that she’s grinding against, because of fumbled pronouns.
Jump-scare.

It got to the point where I was scoffing as the spice was extended, right after yet another important scene that was expedited.
It just felt cheap.
A gratuitous glory hole.

But I did appreciate the intermittent creativity in sometimes having multiple conversations at once.
It made them both more interesting under the pretense of eavesdropping.
But she also says ‘folds’ thirteen times in this book alone, so it’s not that great.

The ending is just as baffling as the rest.
She suddenly addresses the plot twist without fanfare, in a way I should’ve expected but am doubly disappointed to have been right about.

It’s almost offensive how badly that was handled.

I was really looking forward to that development.

Almost enough to try the next book and see if she’ll fix the delivery, but the synopsis is a huge spoiler that is just as infuriating as the rest has been.

No, thanks.

This book was pretty good. It definitely answered some of the questions I had from the first one and resolved some of the conflicts that popped up in the first book but it’s a lot of back and forth.

I don’t like how the FMC keeps going back and forth between her men like there’s moments where it’s as if she hates them or doesn’t trust them but then will send her kid back with them and saves their lives. It’s very wishy washy and it’s somewhat understandable considering what she was put through by her Alpha man but Jesus women make up your mind you’re killing me here. I can understand complicated feelings but this felt a bit stretched out and ridiculous to me.

I have enjoyed how her relationship with each progressed but then it’s like every step they take forward in their separate relationships she takes 5 steps away from each of them. I do love her little boy though. And the “wolf” dude and the whole vampire angle is intriguing however for me I think I’m going to DNF this series. I just can’t bring myself to finish book 3 maybe one day I’ll come back but instead of filling me with excitement it’s more tedious which is never good.

All in all I’ll leave like I always do to the author you do have a knack for storytelling in my opinion though these books for me were just a bit too long winded so I couldn’t finish. And to the reader I may not have been able to complete this series but if those descriptions interest you then def give this one a try bc you never know this might be your next favorite.

DNF - Finished 100% book one 100% book two 10% of book three.

"Real life comes with happy endings, Amelia. You just have to keep going until you find one." book 1 pg. 201

I'm so sad because I was really looking forward to this series to be complete. Unfortunately it just didn't hit the... mark. ;)

It felt like it was the Stone show 24/7. He is literally the worst one in the harem. I find his narcissistic, controlling and possessive (even in the harem) behavior abusive. He literally mentally tortures her... like wtf? The FMC deserves better, the other men give her better and she is constantly keeping them at arms length. Using Shaw pretty much only for sex, letting Stone push Cole around, not making more of an effort to help Liam. I looked further into book three and it seemed like it was mostly about Stone and Amelia.. Brennan is obviously gonna be involved but even then it's like... what about the decent men in the harem?

Also, she had sex with Shaw while in heat and was taken so obviously isn't on any birth control anymore? So.... isn't she pregnant? Wouldn't she get pregnant after? It's literally never talked about. Also... she said she has never had a heat before, but she got pregnant with Dylan... so she doesn't need to be in heat to get pregnant and she is having sex? But no one has mentioned her getting pregnant with them... There is one inner monologue from Liam about a baby but even then he doesn't know if that's in the present for future.

The Unbound Moon is the 2nd book in the Darkest Mark trilogy. I loved reading it. It has lots of excitement that kept me enthralled in it's pages as soon as I read one chapter I had to read the next one to see what was going to happen.
The Characters are super exciting specially Stone.. Pack Alpha and super broody when Amelia isn't there to keep him on his toes.
Cole - Stones 2nd in command and best friend trains all of the cubs so that they know how they can protect their alpha and themselves if the enemy approaches.
Liam the ever so quiet and gifted. Liam is my favorite of the King Brothers because he is super caring and Understanding when it comes to Amelia.
Shaw I find to be a funny and carefree character that makes me laugh with his antics.. everyone needs a friend like Shaw. But when it comes to Amelia he is in protection mode with all of his brothers.
Amelia is Strong and brave .. and very protective when it comes to her son Dylan.. you have to love a protective mom.
Teresa or T. as she is nicknamed from Stone is as predictable as ever when it comes to training the young cubs as she calls them. she sees it how things should be.
Wolf or the Rogue .. is a mysterious character.. but I have my hunches on who he is.
So if you love Werewolves, Action, Mystery and Fated Love then this book is for you.

I'm loving the story for the most part. It could still use a bit of editing.

I love the storyline of this series so far. While I was out and about running errands, my mind kept coming back to what was happening in the books, and I couldn't wait to dive in again! There's a couple of pieces of information that have been thrown in that so far don't seem to matter to the story whatsoever, but I'm sure they'll make sense in the next book.

Also, I just want to say I CALLED IT! Part way through book #1, I suspected something was up. I don't give it away here, but it's what the cliffhanger is in this book. I'm kind of excited about it at this point!

An issue that I noticed in the first book happens again in this book, and it always seems to happen to the same, poor guy: Brennan. The author has spelled it "Bennan," "Brenann"... It's a small thing, but it's a thing that stands out to me.

Another repeated mistake, and with the same people, is Amelia calling Stone his brother's name, "Shaw." If the author had an editor, they must have been pretty tired when going over these scenes.

Generally speaking, the book could use some more editing. Besides the issues above, there's improper words used in sentences (one example is: "... furious flashed through me like a flame," instead of "fury flashed through me.") If you ignore these, it's still a pretty great story!

Oooo well there’s a lot going on in this second book!
This picks up immediately after the last one, with Amelia on the run with her two siblings…and that is not an easy journey; with constant drama along the way 😬 but it gives her the opportunity to really think things through and consider who is the bigger threat and where her home might actually be ☺️
You also begin to question who the really enemy might be - with Stones controlling ways; the possibility of Nathan coming back; and then there’s the Rogue - whose side is he even on??
She’s also beginning to build up a different relationship with each of the King brothers and Cole 🥰 Liam really comes through in this book, Shaw shows his more serious side and Cole devotes all he can; Stone, well he’s certainly a mixed bag 🙈🙈
We also start to get some answers in this book particularly regarding Brennan and that fateful night!
I’m really looking forward to how the whole vampire element is going to play out and what this means for Amelia and her new found family!! Aswell as seeing how this all ties together 😅
Watch out for that cliffie 😮😮

The Unbound Moon, the second book in the Darkest Mark series by May Dawson was just as amazing as the first and was everything I wanted it to be!!!

Picking up right where the first book left us dangling on the edge of our seats with that delicious cliffhanger, this story starts off strong and doesn’t stop!

I absolutely adore Amelia and her story!! She’s a fierce, resilient, dedicated woman that will do anything she can to protect those she loves—even if it hurts her. And her guys?!? Liam, Shaw, Cole and Stone are absolute perfection! I love how different and perfect they each are in their own way and how they’re each trying to do better and how devoted they are to Amelia. Seeing their relationships evolve, bonds form and all the secrets and revaluations come to light was EPIC!!

May Dawson is a genius when it comes to writing captivating paranormal stories that are jam packed with endless action and drama, trials and tribulations and of course tons of delicious steamy spicy heat that practically burns the pages faster then you can read them! If you’re a fan of paranormal RH romances then this series is definitely one for you! Can’t wait for the conclusion of this story!

Wowed and blown away!!

This story continues to keep me on the edge of my seat!! It has so many twists that I just didn't see coming! I love Amelia!! Her resiliency is her biggest strength. She's kind, fair and still loving after the train wreck of a life she's had. Her guys are each so different but I love seeing their relationships evolve. Stone is trying to be a better man for her. She's the first person to make him even try. Shaw only has eyes for her and for once is putting someone before himself. Liam!!! Liam has always been in the "in between"- in between the past and present. He's always seemed lost, and deemed crazy. But with Amelia he's found and trying so hard to be clear headed. And Cole, Amelia has given him the strength to want his own happiness. I love the way he's bonded to Dylan and always puts Amelia's and Dylan's safety before everything. In this book we see all of their relationships evolve from just feelings. We're learning more about bonds and some huge revelations are discovered! I'm talking BOMBSHELLS!!! I can't wait for the next book and I'm so excited to see what May Dawson does next with this story!

This isn’t a stand-alone book; it continues almost immediately from the cliffhanger in Book 1, where we met the characters and learn their stories. Watch the Point of View at the beginning of each chapter; it varies among several characters. It’s confusing if you lose track of whose POV it is.
We start wondering who the broken wolf is - a friend or foe of the King pack. Could it be Nathan? Who is Wolf? And why would vampires bother trying to save a wolf? Amelia is reunited with her Longroad pack, but misses the love she found in the King pack. She discovers who told Nathan about her and Brennan, and why. Liam discovers Nathan is still alive, and there is yet another betrayal of Amelia. We discover more about the rogue wolf but not who it was. Pack politics generates bloody, extreme violence. The attraction for Amelia among the King brothers and Cole results in many incredibly hot, steamy scenes. The action culminates in a final confrontation and several plot twists that ends in a cliffhanger. Read Book 1 and then Book 2, and then join me, impatiently waiting for Book 3!

Communication… never heard of her, huh?

Good looooord these characters are driving me insane! 😂 why is it so hard to just open up and talk about the obvious?! They all had SO many opportunities to be honest with each other but nooo.

Amelia, still not sure if I like her honestly. She’s one of the biggest ‘ignore-major-issues’ characters. Constantly reminding everyone she’s not staying, yadda yadda. She did gain some points towards the end though!

My sweet Liam, I want to smother him in hugs. Shaw, he’s finally losing his playboy persona but kinda hangs in the back ground for the last half of the book. Cole, I’m so iffy on him. His loyalty could really be a deal breaker. The Rogue, idk about him either. I love his protectiveness but his true intentions are still too unknown. And lastly, fucking Stone. He needs a boot up his ass, asap. 😂 He better redeem himself BIG TIME in the next book.

Looooved that ending too. I called it from the beginning and I can’t wait to watch how that plays out!

Oh wait, no, no, no, why did it end there? Ahh!
I really enjoy reading this story. Watching Amelia work through her trauma in the best way for her has been great.
Liam surprises me at every turn. I'm so curious to know why he has the visions he has.
Shaw, man, I really want one of him! There wasn't as much of him in this book and that kind of makes me a little sad. I love his personality and I want more of him.
Cole, poor thing gets all tongue tied with Amelia around. He is all big and bad, training the whole pack, but ask him to talk to Amelia about his feelings and he becomes a mute. It is really enduring though.
Stone. Oh Stone. You sir are dumb. I have never disliked a love interest as much as I dislike him. I want to shake some sense into this man. He gets on my ever last nerve and I don't know how he manages to do it.
The rogue.... are you kidding me? Who? What? When? Where? How? I am completely lost. Part of me understands the other part of me have 5 million questions and I don't like it. I need my answers right now!
I fully enjoy anything this author puts out and I am going to be over here dying to have the next book.

This series is really throwing me for a loop. After everything that happened in book 1, we see a lot of growth in a few characters. Amelia we see her continue to protect her child, and do what’s best for both of them. She has always been strong, surviving to make sure that her child is never without his mother.

The guys in this series are, interesting. I’m not really a fan of Stone still, his alpha- head /stubbornness is really making me not like him. I want him to get out of his head that by protecting everyone even when he hurts them is the right thing. The others I liked getting to see their bond grow and hopefully solidify a little bit. I was happy that my hunch was right for the rogue wolf, and we got to see a few POVs from them. I am not sure how we’ll see all of the relationships solidify further within the last book? But maybe we’ll get all the little missing points that we need to see the whole picture?

I’m super excited for this series and the finale, I just hope we get everything we’ve been looking for in the last book!

This one had a lot less action than the first one, but there was a ton of character and relationship development. I enjoyed getting to know Liam more since he was the most interesting one to me in the first, Shaw becoming a little more sincere was a nice move, Cole doesn't change much, and I currently absolutely loathe Stone. We learn more about the mysterious wolf and other magical creatures enter the fray which I didn't expect.

I've been left with a lot more questions than answers, which made the cliffhanger especially frustrating. As in the first one there's a pretty frank discussion of trauma and it's effects, especially on the youngest of the cast, which I think is a good story element.

I can't wait to see how May wraps this all together, waiting enthusiastically for the third with high expectations given how many plates are spinning now.

This second book was just amazing. Watching Amelia build her relationships with the men in the King pack is just amazing, then her revenge and the rogue real. There is just so much going on in this book but I feel like if I speak on any of it here it’ll spoil the book for everyone. I am definitely excited for the next book to find out more about our rogue wolf and see where this story goes. From the very start we get these little teasers about the rouge and then we jump into saving Amelia, then building her relationships to that crazy cliffhanger ending. This series is turning into one of my favorites and am already doing a re read to make sure I haven’t missed any details. Do yourself a favor and get this series started and be read for the next book to come out.

Amelia has run away from the King’ pack and I am so happy she’s back with her family but heart broken about who she’s left behind. I was really enjoying the heat building up for Amelia, Cole, Liam, etc. if you love kick ass female with huge hearts. Read this story. She’s still worried about her ex-stalker Nathan, a rogue wolf, and the uncertainty around stone. So much angst, and fire, and sexy sexy heat! Mind those trigger warnings and be ready for the cliffhanger! I love the way May weaves a great story. She constantly surprises me in how she explains fated mates or unknowns in her story. Trust me, she solves all the problems like a champ! Must read!

What a twist - I love books with a good twist and this one was he dropping! I can’t wait to see how Liam reacts to the end of this book. I enjoyed watching all of the conflicts that have been building get swiped one by one until we are left with something we never would have anticipated. And seeing Amelia grow so much over the story already - I loved watching her kick butt! So many shockers are dropped it’s like bomb after bomb. I would have liked more Dylan time and more family bonding time, but I’m not sure where it would have fit with all of the action happening - which definitely isn’t a bad thing! If you love fates mates, FMCs who find themselves, paranormal romance, you’ll love this!

“Men are impossible.”
“So maybe you should stop trying to collect them like they’re Pokémon.”

I struggled with this installment in the series. It started out slow. It did get better towards the middle, and then slowed again to more back and forth between Amelia and Stone and their communication breakdown. Then it ended in a cliffie that makes me want the next book to find out what happens. I’m curious about Amelia and Liam and the Rogue. I feel like maybe they are more than just shifters. Overall, I do recommend this series if you like shifters, why choose, fated mates, single mom, traumatic past, and found family.
