Secret Society of female assassins.

I’m not sure what to write for this review. I had this ebook on my kindle and with the MFC being a k1llèr working for a secret society sounded right up my alley. This follows two FC Rae and her best friend. Both work for a secret society. They meet Drew and his partner both cops at the club they work at as their second job. And both men form a relationship with the girls. It jumps from one thing to another and it just don’t make sense or connect. The story and plot could have been better with more thought out story. Spice is there.

I couldn't even rate this because this book just sucked balls blew me away.

✔️ Woman assassin who only really killed on person in the beginning and somehow impersonated her twin sister at the end to kill her
✔️Secret assassin all woman's society but don't worry, there are more
✔️Cop MMC secretly there to tail Rae and her bff knowing they are assassins and need dirt on them
✔️ Domestic violence because we need an extra dose of side quests by her trying to save her bff from her girlfriend.
✔️Baby mama drama that has no business and did absolutely nothing for the book.
✔️Betrayal since Rae finds she was a 'job'
✔️ Another assassination job on the ex-girlfriend since she was going to kill Rae and her bff for a relationship gone south.
✔️Insta-Love since a smile was all that was needed to have Drew and Kai throw their whole career out the window
✔️ Mafia since Rae apparently is the daughter of the Italian mafia bossman and was supposed to be sold off in marriage, but instead ran away
✔️ Kidnapped being that the OG mafia man wants him his wife he was promised.
✔️ Rescued by Cop man & mafia? somehow they showed up and got together to team up
✔️ John Wick a.k.a. Rae Wick since the mafia man killed her dog.

Don't you worry, we are only at 65% in a less than 200 page book. Please hold.

✔️ Another Secret Society (Order of the Orion) because being a woman assassin is not badass enough, they have men babysit them to 'watch over them.' Why be a badass female when you have men watching you? Kai, the other cop, apparently is part of this club and now is a babysitter for Rae's bff.
✔️ Chief of police becomes her new customer at the diner all due to the fact he likes that cop man's women, which I guess needed be to part of the plot for all of two pages. Explained the baby mama though since they came to capture Rae and kill her. Somehow he was involved with her father trying to kidnap her again. A lot of plots of kidnapping.

We are at 88% folks, I promise you have this!

✔️ Rae is killed which she is actually pronounced dead by Kai. Big boom, everyone is knocked out.
✔️ Body is gone and they are cleaning up and somehow in between a paragraph, they captured the captain and baby mama and killed her? Don't know how but this book is kinda like a don't ask don't tell situation.
✔️ Rae's twin sister, Olivia is the killer!
✔️ Everyone is invited to Rae's funeral and no one questions really how they all got the invite...just go with the flow folks.
✔️ Plot Twist! Rae is Olivia at the funeral! where she promptly, and I mean promptly kills her mother and father, to then which she says Olivia is actually the one dead, though we have no idea how that would have happened at all, because Olivia shot her, they all saw the blood from Rae, confirmed her death...but no, she somehow faked her death with the help of the other mafia crew, lived with her family for weeks who didn't notice piercings or makeup covered tattoos, and killed them at the funeral.
✔️ She says yes to marriage because a fake death never brought people closer.
✔️ Plot Twist! Rae worked with the other mafia to have herself injected with some sort of chemical to stop her heart and just hope for the best that Olivia's aim was shit.
✔️ Epilogue ... 2 months later ... surprise surprise, she is pregnant.

I truly think it was one of the worst best books I ever read.

I highly don't recommend.

At least there was plenty of spice!

This book is so fast-paced and quick to read. I got close to the characters right away.
The twists put you in such a rollercoaster and I enjoyed every second of it.
Rae is amazing, she’s a badass queen 🔥
And how can Drew be so hot and cute at the same time?! 😍

This book was a whirlwind! There was never a boring moment. I absolutely loved the MFC, Rae, she was a total bad ass. The twists and turns left me hanging off every page. This book had a good amount of smut and made the plot that much more delicious. For a first time author, Redrum did a great job with this story! There are some big trigger warnings in this book so be sure to check those out before you dive in.

This book was a bit of a mess. It's like the author started writing one story, then decided to add another element out of no where. I'm guessing it was meant to be a 'plot twist' but when we get POVs from the MMC before the twist, there is no indication he is aware of who she is. Then there's the whole mafia storyline that popped half way through. Not to mention the very rushed ending. There are some graphic scenes of SA in this book, so reader be warned.

I stumbled on this one. I was looking for something to read on KU as I have been reading a lot of ARC's lately.

I have to say I actually loved it. A contract killer falling for the cop that's looking into one of her kills. What's not to love about that. The fact that Drew wasn't the normal tall, dark and handsome MMC was refreshing. Rae (Ravenna) just sounded plain bad ass. The fact that they meet at her waitressing job and not at the seen of a murder was good.

I felt sorry for Rae at times, the fact she felt that she wasn't lovable because of how her family treated her so their ending that they got was appropriate. I did understand it but I also hated that Drew, Sadie and Kai was left in the dark to the plan. Granted it was a split second plan but I still hate it.

Check trigger's there is a few chapters that are Rae getting r@pe not by the MMC, dom / sub. Also off page animal murder.

This is my first book ever by Ravenna. I have to say Redrum is a really dark spicy romance. I have to say I read a real lot of spicy dark reads, and this book is at the top. I really enjoyed it. The characters are very well put together, they are very relatable, the storyline isn’t all bout just spicy scenes. There’s a great storyline about how Rae & Drew met, funny Drew is a cop and Rae is mmm a k1ll3r. This story has all kinds of twist and turns. You just to see how Rae dealt with so much growing up and how she ends up feeling about Drew and all the crap she goes through with her bestie Sadie and Drew’s bestie Kai. I can’t wait to see if theirs more into this book if there’s gonna be a series or book two. Thank you Ravenna for letting me be apart of your arc team and read this awesome book. Definitely look up your triggers warning before reading!

I absolutely loved reading this book. It had me hooked from beginning to end. This is her debut novel and I was so invested in the story that I couldn’t put down. I loved the plot and twists. It was such a great read. Definitely rate 5⭐️/5 and 5🌶️/5!

This book follows Ravenna and Drew. Drew starts off as the socially awkward police officer but let me you tell you that does not last long! Ravenna or Rae is a waitress who is also in a secret society where she unalives people. Drew is working on the case for one of her assignments. I don’t want to give to much away. The spicy scenes in this book are 🥵 I did not see the way Drew talks to Rae coming but I’m so glad it was amazing.

This is fantastic. Start to finish I couldn’t put it down. Rae and Drew are adorable. No matter what they went through they overcame and battled everything together. Reading this I never knew what was coming next. I was shocked for pretty much every twist and turn. This is another one of those books that sends you on a lovely roller coaster. The spice level is just right. I recommend checking any TW’s prior to reading but I will highly recommend!

This book was just... I don't even know how to explain how this book made me feel. It was fast pace which I loved and it is definitely spicy! Ravenna herself is a bit unhinged to say the least and Drew is just in for the ride and the umm punishments that Ravenna tends to wrack up. I definitely was thrown for a loop towards the end and just about threw my kindle while cursing the author out in my head. All in all, the book was great and well worth the read!

As this authors debut novel I absolutely fell in love with it!!! The FMC is a badasssss and the MMC is hottt asf!! They spice was spicing!
The whole book kept me wanting more!
Ravenna she puts up with no ones crap, and she’s so unhinged I love it
Drew, ugh drew is just a whole vibe! He’s sweet but also protective and gives you the touch her and 💀 vibes.
This book does have TW be sure to check those if you have any!

Oh, Redrum really outdid herself with this one.

It was my first read from the author and I don't regret it. It was fast paced, almost a little too much at times. Where the storyline went too fast that there was some, "that was quick" thoughts.
There was spice, drama, love, tense moments, drama, great characters, drama. This book had everything a spice lover wants.

This is Redrum’s debut novel and what a way to start.

Ravenna is fantastic. I thoroughly enjoyed every second. It is fast paced, spicy, and has a good plot. The twists had me on the edge of my seat whilst reading.

The character development was fast but well done. I loved Rae and Drew. However the way Malakai and Sadie were wrote has left me wanting to see more of them.

I look forward to seeing what Redrum writes next.

There are a lot of plot holes. The book was pretty interesting until about 60% then it started to jump around a lot, and I had no idea what was happening. I stopped reading it around 70% because it didn't really make sense anymore.

Read the trigger warnings before diving in. Now that I've been responsible let's get into the good stuff😁. Literally just finished reading & it was worth every gasp, giggle, & even the tossing of my Kindle. Yes that's right, my Kindle grew wings (thank goodness for tough cases & screen protectors). From start to finish there was never a dull moment. The struggle not to give spoilers is so real! It's fast paced, instant spice, dark, I devoured it. Ravenna our FMC is unhinged in all the best ways. She puts the bad in bad@$$. Drew our MMC is sweet, caring, protective, dominating just 🥵🥵🥵🥵. It's a quick read that does not disappoint, will for sure be reading again. This is the authors debut novel & I cannot wait to read more from her.
