Tyler Auffhammer is a graduate of Western Carolina University. His poetry has been included in numerous journals and anthologies, including the 2017 poetry chapbook, “Threshold: Poems”. He was also selected as a 2015 Gilbert-Chappell Distinguished Student Poet. He has contributed to numerous nonfiction journals and magazines, including the Sigma Tau Delta’s “Rectangle” and Gravel Magazine. He received the VFW’s Voice of Democracy Award, as well as the Scholastic Art & Writing Gold Key Award for Persuasive Writing. He is currently an ongoing features writer with Backwoodsman Magazine. His short story fiction credits include “Edge of the Abyss” (2017) with Crimson Streets and “Ace Up His Sleeve” in 1950s Western Roundup (2018) with Pro Se Press. He has numerous short story anthologies and collections, as well as his first novel, forthcoming with Pro Se Press. He is currently an Editorial Assistant with Altus Press.
