This women cried too much.

To be clear at first I was happy reading this book because within a few hours was like 70% done reflecting and I realized the h cried and cried and cried and let me be even more honest she was super dumb and weak, everything she did on one page that seemed strong and Amazing by the next page the H knocked her back down she would cry and it would create this pattern that felt fun and funny but is really pathetic and sad. When she started falling for him after he made her have a medical procedure I was not on their side to be together as a couple because I like my crazy with a side of smart and although I wanted to believe she was its smoke and mirrors, this chick is oh so dumb and the H is a crazy stalker nut job who by the time he is redeeming himself trying to win her love I was beyond done. And just to make sure I downloaded another book in the series I am 10% in and this chick is crying too, I will return immediately.

I was ensnared by this book. I have been waiting a long time for Dmitri's story and I was so excited to finally receive the ARC!!

I completely gobbled it up. I have always had a weakness for stories where the female lead takes some time to fall in love with the guy while the guy is smitten with her.

I enjoyed reading about Dmitri. He is so different then the cookie cutter made man. His ideas and principles is what made me fall in love with him. I loved that he is possessive and at the same time an exhibitionist. There marriage ceremony was definitely the hottest.... The bedroom scenes are becoming spicier with every new release and I love it.

I also liked the heroine. Katerina has always written relatable, strong willed female characters and Eve was the same. I liked that she took her time falling in love with him. I appreciate that she was very relatable.

Every time I read a book by Katerina, I am always grateful just how much she focuses on the relationship between the leads. This one is no different. There is no sub plot and the side characters are likeable.

I will definitely read this again just because of Dmitri. Highly recommend...

Per usual miss Winter's stories are well designed and delectably written. I’m so glad we finally got to see Dimitri, and Eve was so perfect for him. She was so sweet and I loved her level headed attitude. This one was darker than the previous stories in the series but it was perfect!! Thank you Katerina for writing this even while you were sick.

Part of the A Mafia Romance series each can be read as a standalone with a dangerous sexy and the one who captures his undivided attention in the best way make sure to double check that you are buckled up, dangerous men, alpha’s personified, possessive, oh, gorgeous, brooding all the makings of a story consisting with three D’s (dark, delicious, and dirty) 😊. There will be suspense, betrayal, death, darkness, secrets reveled, violence, hope, forgiveness, and maybe even love along the way. Dmitri sexy as all get out man obsessed, he isn’t a man you want to owe or have on your radar, dangerous, ruthless to a fault, deadly every day especially if you come after those he love, and he has watched his obsession, protected his obsession when the chance to be with her arise he takes it. Eve was a sweetheart when she wanted to be but a little more passive then I like walking away from an ex. who mistreated her in every way, forced to live with her grandparents working a dead in end, but I do love is she never gave up even when her brother messed up and she has to be the payment never realizing that would change the direction of her path. The magnetic pull is there for them but she feels like he only wants her for the payment not realizing there is more to his obsession than just one night but where are they headed, will her brother continue to get into trouble, is there more to their relationship, and can they both find some form of happiness?

Great Read!!
Loved reading Ensnared. This book was action packed until the very end. The obsession that Dimitri had for Eve was super intense and the chemistry between them was steamy HOT. This is actually the first book that I’ve read by this author and I hope to read more!!

I really love this author. Glass cage is one of my top 5 books

I Love the way in most of her books the heroes have a life and are doing great but then the guy takes her away and are possessive and the heroines resist because they had a good life before the guy and do not need him but this book was not like her usual. The heroine needed him and came of as desperate and terrible self esteem while resisting which didn’t work and was disappointing

The heroine has terrible judgement and lets a ex walk all over her so she is down on her luck and working as a badly paid waitress while living with her elderly grandparents she needed to get a life and he gave her one. Honestly I felt like she had no direction and no plans and he gave her a plan she should be welcomes.

It was one part resistance and 3 parts why would he want me, what am I doing with my life, and wow he is a great lover. And she did not have much of a personality in fact all that really stands out is she is a bigger women who is nice.

Sorry to say but this book didn't do it for me.
Desperate heroine living with grandparents with a crappy job I felt like for this book to have worked she needed to be have been in a good place with a good job a boyfriend or someone she had a crush on she needed to have her own apartment be self sufficient and that way he is not saving her is is actually taking her away from things she loves and terrorizing her life the way the story was written he practically saves her from her dumb life decisions and miserable life.

I'm very disappointed because I was so awaiting for Dimitri to end up with a successful firecracker who does not need him but he takes her anyways that is so not what we got.

it was cute tbh, i wouldve liked a bit more resistance from her side since, yknow, man literally kidnapped her and did a LOT of thinfs against her wishes but likee.. ill let it pass i guess since its not like he was insanely horrible to her apart from the sligjt/dubious non con. she fell for him even though he did allat and he didnt grovel at all but im not too mad about it cause he DID treat her nicely in a psychotic way. i was also constantly waiting for a third act breakup idk why i think ive just been traumatized tm by all these romance books, and technically there WAS but it wasnt in the way i was expecting so im cool with that, also it was caused by external forces and not them fighting, and i was expecting a kidnapping but even thouvh it technically was one, it was different. i kinda wantsd to drop it halfsay bc i got more curious ab romans story but i made myself push through it cause im sick of dropping books when im nearly at the end. also there was a LOT of sex by the way it was just constant sex everywhere but like, thats to be expected i guess, it IS mentioned in the blurb so its not really a complaint, its just something im mentioning since i had to keep skimming it. i do like her writing though, i prefer mafia business to be written very subtly bevause if not it feels super cringy since i feel like no one knows what it actually is like and its just bad. only person ill let slide with it is danielle lori. anyways! good book, not too bad

Dimitri has had to scrape with everything ounce of being he had to get to where he is now, and he now has one very vulnerable Eve Thomas in the palm of his hand…and therefore, quite unfortunately, her family as well. Her half-brother Ricky’s desperate doings has now fallen on her to rectify, the only way she had left to offer. But it was not enough for Dimitri, as she was exactly what he was missing in his life, he soon realized: “Nothing has changed, my sweet Eve," he growled. "I still hold everyone and everything you hold dear in the palm of my hand. You think your life is hard now, I could make it a nightmare. I wanted to gut the bastard sitting here tonight but I restrained myself for your benefit." Two characters meant to collide, a spicy and engaging enemy-to-lovers dark romance! Looking forward to more stories from this author!

Ensnared has a lot of what I really like in a mafia book that it seems like you just can't easily find today. There is a lot of violence in Dimitri's world and his story, and he is definitely not a good guy doing bad things for the right reasons. He is very much in the life with no intentions to leave it. He is the kind that sees what he wants, goes after it, and makes no apologies for it and in the end that's Eve. Ensnared is a little slow to start and it takes a while for things to really get going, but by a third into the book, I was completely caught up in the story, not wanting to put the book down, just so we could see what would happen next. If you are a fan of a take charge, no apologies Hero who does what he wants, but who is obsessed with and completely jealous and protective over the heroine, in a world that is violent and messy, then this is definitely a must read for you.

I almost gave up on this one. Eve was a bit stand offish and Dimitri was cold but I kept reading. Then there’s the way the two come together, very off putting, but I kept reading. I liked this book, I liked it more with the extended epilogue that the author offers as a download at the end of the story at the time this review was written. I liked how Eve and Dimitri found their way to one another despite their rough start and I liked the way they grew. It’s not for everyone, it does need a trigger warning for SA, but it was a very good story. Told from dual POV with occasional third party that brings perspective.

I am a fan of this author; however, this book was a miss for me. The H was dangerous and rough with the h but there reached a point in the story where things shifted, and it turned into a routine romance novel. For example, H wanted h to use his credit card and she wouldn't bc she didn't care about money. Then, she was given a makeover and had a Cinderella moment. Also, she had relatives that she worked tirelessly to financially support. Lastly, she had a terrible ex who mistreated her but then wanted her after her makeover. My biggest problem was the voyeurism. There were too many scenes of the couple being intimate while others were present or could hear. The H even sent a pic of an extremely intimate moment to her ex. I'm not even going to mention the wedding which was just gross.

When I say I have been waiting FOREVER for Dimitri's book - I am not lying. Ever since he was introduced in A Love So Wrong, I knew he was going to need his own story! The chemistry between him and Eve was off the charts. There were times during this book I was having to question my own sanity concerning some if his possessive tendencies. Like how could those qualities be attractive!?! Well Dimitri sure does! I am so excited to see what else this author has in store for future books. This book is definitely going on my library shelf.

You can read this as a standalone - I didn't read any of the others first (but now I want to). Eve and Dimitri's story grabbed me from the start. He almost seems hot AF - if you ignore that overbearing psycho alpha thing. I spent a good part of the book hating him for his behavior (not a fan of dubcon/noncon). Somewhere along the way, that changed, as Eve's attitude toward him did so as well. It's dark and gritty, filled with all the violence that comes along with his career choice. This book is dark. Dimitri is a ruthless, arrogant man. He see it, he wants it, and he takes it. He is so cruel to Eve it was almost hard to imagine them being able to have a happily ever after. But they find a way. I enjoyed this dark book immensely. I hadn’t read the previous three books in this series. Each one is considered a standalone, I find reading the previous books helps me understand the characters. So I will definitely read the previous books. Please check your trigger warnings. But if you read this book, just enjoy the ride. This book has action, suspense, violence and spice.

Dimitri is determined to get back what the Armenians took from him courtesy of Eve's brother but when he decides to use Ricky's sister to get him motivated, it backfires are when he finds himself obsessing over her. Will his obsession of Eve lead him along the path to happiness with her.

"Ensnared" was sexy and fun. The antihero was my favorite type-- completely unapologetic, cracking jokes while going about his dirty business. There were no surprises or plot twists, but somehow that made it even more satisfying to me. Is there such as thing as a dark comfort read? I enjoyed escaping into this world, and I'll be coming back to it for a re-read.

This is a well written story which is an action packed, emotional roller coaster, with family, enemies / lovers, forced proximity, obsession, danger, suspense, intrigue. angst, drama, tension, violence, witty banter, and love, which leads to an entertaining twisted, addictive, and steamy dark mafia romance.

I really loved this book, I’ve been in such a book funk lately and this was just what I needed. I’m so happy Dimitri is gonna get a child of his own ( in the bonus book). In Glass Cage ( which is still one of my favorite books ) he was so good with ChristelIe’s baby brother.

I hope Katerina can put more of her books on Audible, I don’t even care that the narrations are virtually voice.

Addictive, twisted, amazing story that kept me glued to the pages. Emotional angsty storyline full of plot twists to keep it intense and interesting. Loved the drama and banter. Read this now, you won't be disappointed.

Why

I am asking myself why I waited to read one of Katerina Winters book @10:40pm knowing I was to not sleep. From the beginning she sucked me into this world once again that I couldn't stop. Even when I promised myself that after this chapter I will stop we all know that lie. This book was great and now I don't know what to do with my life.

I liked this one but honestly wish there’d been more consent going on. It was definitely less consensual than ideal, even within the genre.
