Bishop I’m Bishop… Bishop Love. I haven’t written a new song in four years. My label has me by the balls to come up with my next project by the end of this tour. If I don’t produce, I’m going to be in deep shit. Fuck it! Maybe it’s my time… or maybe not. When she walks into the greasy diner in her red bottoms, looking completely out of place, the music comes rushing back. I have a note for every curve that catches my eye. I want her.
Saga My life is falling apart and I don’t know what I’m going to do. I shouldn’t be starting over like this, but one asshole has turned my life upside down and I’m heading home with my tail between my legs. That is until the fine ass, Bishop Love sits across from me. He doesn’t know me, but he offers me just what I need. He says he wants me to be his muse, but his eyes say something different. I shouldn’t mix business with pleasure. I know better. But he sets me on fire with just one look. I want him.
Every song I sing is a love note to her. Every word he sings draws me closer. I’ll sing until I have her surrender because Saga is mine, it all ends with her.

I am so in love with this couple, they are definitely book couple goals. In typical Blue Safire fashion we get all the heat and then some. The writer brings us into the silken web, a good old fashioned romance. The chemistry is done so effortlessly that you actually can feel this story and this couple. This not only good writing, but its a developed storyline and with really a really good dialogue. Looking forward to the next episode in this series, hopefully we get to peak in on this coup!e and there family. We could get an in between short story on Bishop and Saga.(that was a hint) Overall take a chance ,and experience one of the most enjoyable story, and have a really good time falling in love.
I think this book is too soft for what I’m in the mood for. There’s no build up we jump straight into what the synopsis says. Like immediately in the first chapter he finds his muse & just for be there wasn’t anything to necessarily keep my attention. I may circle back in the future 🤷🏾♀️
This book was suggested to me based on my reading history on my Kindle. I loved it! The writing is so detailed and enrapturing; I couldn’t put it down. The depth of the characters, and Ms. Saffire’s attention to detail made this a joy to read. I look forward to reading more from her.
I always love Blue Saffire's books. I was in a reading slump and this book pulled me out. I just loved Bishop and Saga's story from the beginning. The immediate connection between the two of them was off the chain and I'm glad they didn't let pettiness interfere with what they were building. I loved how Bishop was always there for Saga and how he gave her time to catch up to how he was feeling towards her. And I'm glad that Saga trusted herself and her feelings for Bishop and didn't let anyone make her doubt her choices. The band, friends and family were all icing on the cake because they completed Bishop and Saga. Can't wait to see more from this bunch.
I'm just realizing that I have a bad habit of reading books out of order. 🤦🏽♀️ I read book # 2, Stay With Me, before reading this one, which is the first book of this series.
Anyhow sorry about that little side note and lets get to this book.
Love Notes main two characters are Saga and Bishop. Bishop the lead singer to his rock band and Saga is a damsel of distress... well of sorts, who finds herself on her way back to her parents home, since she was fired for refusing to sleep with her boss.
What a start to this book so far huh.
These two meet and Bishop helps her with her broken car and invites her to join him on the tour, and hires her to be in control of there social media outlet, as well as be his muse to help him create his new album. This bring amazing revenue to them, and Saga does a fabulous job in giving the fans what they want, as well as pulling in new ones. Not to mention these two fall for each other hard. The attraction is to hard to pull apart from one another, much less deny it.
But just as things seem to become a fairy tail, people actions and words try to get in the mix, to sow doubt and unease between these two. But Bishop will not allow that to happen, and with his take charge attitude he gets his woman, and complete his album.
I like reading this book, but it not one of my favorites, and there is a couple reasons for that.
First is the Foot Fetish. In my opinion there was too much mention of it. Bishop and Sage really enjoy foot fetish... or rather Bishop enjoy have Saga toes in his mouth. In book # 2 with Rem and Knight( I ABOSULETLY Love this couple ) its mention that Knight also enjoyed Rem toes. But I feel that it was too much in this book. When it first pop up I ended up saying, 'Oh ew, disgusting. Okay Bishop likes a little toesy. Whatever.' But when its started showing up more than that my reaction went to rolling of my eyes and skipping through the scenes. I kept mumbling out loud 'Okay we get it, he likes his wife feet, nasty' ( which had my husband laughing and telling me to stop being picky and judgy. Which for better or worse I was judging Bishop, cuz YUCK! 😂 )
Second is Saga. Saga character in this book was unappealing and frustrating to read about. Saga really pissed me off with the fact that she was a push over. She allowed her parents to have too much say in her life, and instead of standing up for herself she allow them , and/others, to push her around.
For example her parents. Her parents and more so her father disagree with the fact that she got with Bishop. They talk down about him and her, and basically that they were disappointed in her. She was so upset about this.
But lets give her credit, when push come to shove she did stand up for what she wanted, but she still felt upset that she made them up. AND she ends up saying sorry to them and forgiving them right away.
If it wasn't for the fact that her baby sister Rem, called out both her parents for how they treated Saga and judge Bishop, I don't think they would've gotten the scolding they needed. I ended up shouting 'THANK GOD FOR REM' Don't get me wrong I know there is some people out there that is exactly like Saga, and who does not like confutation. But still, it a bit frustrating to read about.
There are some really great points about Saga that I did enjoy reading about. A big one is the fact that she was able to hold her own against the band members. When they would play pranks she would play them right back, showing that she also has some tricks up her sleeves. Which further frustrates me, but gives me hope that she just needs some more time and being around the right people and she will grow as induvial and won't be this pushover anymore.
Other than these two frustrations, I rather enjoy reading this book. Between Bishop standing up for his woman, and watching these to navigate in life, it was a good read.
I hope Bishop older twin Brothers get there own book soon. I cannot wait to read about Prince and Lord books. I bet it will be one hell of a ride there.😊
“You show up right when I needed you…” Bishop said to her & Saga was thinking the very same thing, & told him so. Sometimes, in life Fate has to mess your circumstances a little bit in order for you to get where you need to be. Saga lost her job or were fired and blackballed unjustly and about to return home with her tail between her legs… Bishop music were at a standstill for years, he couldn’t produce not one note…Then, she walked through the greasy diner, with a stack of paper, her red bottom heels clicking… He was mesmerized and music 🎶 started popping in his head loud & clear in multicolor. Couldn’t resist approaching her… Her car broken down was the reason she went inside the dinner and him he had a craving for a greasy burger… See How Bishop & Saga became the “Love Notes” . Wonderful characters. Bishop is swoon worthy 🔥🔥🔥 I love Saga & Bishop, they are a power couple… together they are dynamite 🧨
Different to the tropes I’m used to ready but the love between Bishop and Saga bloomed from love at first sight, to something you would imagine. It was very sweet and the plot wasn’t too heavy, just a disagreement between her choice of a partner and her parents. So it’s definitely something lighthearted if you’re looking for a quick read. I personally wasn’t a fan of the story because I didn’t feel anything other than boredom when reading despite how “happy” it was if you want to call it that. I guess music tropes if you want to call it that either hit the mark or they don’t. The story was 100+ pages too long which meant it was drawn out and rushed at the end because we weren’t even told the son’s names, only that he’s officially accepted as son by Saga’s dad. Overall, it was a happy read, but got nothing from it really because it was standard loving of where Bishop is everyone’s dreamy, doting husband .
I’m going to (try to) keep it short and say that sometimes, the length of time spent together doesn’t matter as much as the connection. When you know, you know. Things said in this story resonated with me personally as Saga has some bumps in the road and epiphanies about life and growth. Bishop—the very definition of “if he wanted to, he WOULD”. He had my heart melting many times as he was consistent with her, never ashamed of his feelings, and gave Saga the space to be herself versus expectations. They healed each other from the wounds of the past and I could NOT put this book down from being so engrossed in the story. Seriously… I want a Bishop—doesn’t have to be a rock star but gimme “EVERYTHING” else about him and I’ll be head over heels like Saga.
Sidenote: Both of their siblings have names that are collectively interesting. Guess their parents really did have a time.
Oh my God. This man was funny and sexy from the very beginning. He locked eyes on her and was instant infatuation... No love. I loved the first words spoken between the two of them. He was patient and kind. He was the savior that she needed, but hadn't realized it. I loved when she wanted a employment contract and when she signed it, he tore it up. He waited for her to ready for love and once she was ready he pounced. He was romantic and paid attention to her. He cared. And the music he wrote her and declared to the world how he felt and was falling in love with her everyday. I loved when he told her about being pregnant, because he knew her body and had been noticing the change. He was her person. And she was his. I can't wait to see what happens to the other brothers.
Bishop character is what every woman wants there man to treat them. I couldn’t stop reading this I want to know how Sage & Bishop ended. The hate glances between Sage and Jay was funny, she didn’t let him intimidate her. Sage let all of them know she was there for the long haul. Will there be a story for Bishops cousin and Sage best friend. Can’t wait to see who the brothers have come in there life. Reading your stories makes me sad as well because I can’t call my bestie reading buddy your were her favorite author, shes been gone for 2 yrs now, she would have loved this story.
B.S is a long time favorite of mine, right from the start I’ve loved her work as interracial writer. I love how she will wove a story together, hook you in and satisfy your every expectation. I love the love Bishop had for Saga right from the beginning, he knew what right felt like. Packed with love, friendship, some drama and so much HEAT that I wished I was Saga. The love and devotion he showed her gave me that swoon feeling throughout this book. I can’t wait to read “Dwayne’s and Isha”story, then his brother “Knight and Reminisce”, lol hopefully anyway… hint hint
This was a love a first sightish storyline, interracial, straight forward read without too many curve balls. As a Blue fan, it seems to follow the theme of strong unrealistic, MMC out her falling for the damsel in distress that does not use a lick of wisdom or common sense as she gets into this unbelievable relationship, gets pregnant right away because she never uses protection or is in fear of STDs or anything because she's in love. Its a Tyler Perry story in book form. Cute straight forward read with very few twiats , no surprises really, HEA. At least I liked Saga and Bishop🤷🏾♀️, the main characters.
This book was absolutely beautiful. The story was everything. The love and dedication that I could feel through the story is amazing. I loved how Bishop was genuine and was putting in that work to win her heart. The growth of their relationship was beautiful. I liked how she tried to resist it at first, but he was just too sweet and caring. I loved their relationships present throughout the story. The band mates were a refreshing bunch. They were funny and I had a time reading about them. I can’t wait to read the next book of the series and I can’t wait to read their other books. I recommend this story.
Where do I even start? This book was phenomenal! I want to start off by showing my appreciation to Blue Saffire. I want you to know that your hard work and dedication don't go unnoticed, truly a gifted author. I have been a huge fan for years and there is no book alike. Every new book is a new world into a new romance.
Saga & Bishop! Saga & Bishop! Saga & Bishop 🔥🔥🔥. This is a must-read, I really enjoyed their journey, the romance, and the love. I look forward to reading more in this series!
This book had all the feels…you wrote the fuzz out this book. Saga was at her lowest and Bishop saved the day. If you’re reading this review for some insight just read it…Bishop…that’s it just Bishop..some may see Saga as naive or immature when she was just a woman trying to please everyone and to prove herself.. a man who failed her, an entitled boss and an overbearing father. Dealing with your emotions and people pleasing habit can be a lot. Luckily her car decided she needed a break…read the book
This is another act of love so beautifully woven together for our enjoyment ,Saga and Bishop was a joy to read, it shows how you sometimes have to just jump out on faith and let love guide you.I wasn't able to comment on one of the other series Lost Hearts but that is a series to be recognized as another act of love that was so beautifully written that the characters continue to breathe life and I can't wait to see the continuation of both of these series. Love Rebecca
That was my thought through 60% of this amazing story. I felt like I was watching a movie the way the author told the story so smoothly. Although, Bishop knew what he wanted immediately, it took Saga some time to accept it. I just did not want her to hurt him when the drama came along. Speaking of drama, I am so glad the author didn't let that tear them apart as so many stories have in order to add even more drama. It came but it wasn't drawn out. A perfect story. Now let's hear about Isha and Dwayne and Remi and Knight. I CAN'T WAIT!!
I’m going to be nice and give this 3 stars instead of 2. I was enjoying this at the start, but pls be aware this is insta-lust and insta-love so you don’t have to wait at all for them to get together bc it really does happen fast. I feel like this could’ve been a 230 page novella and not stretched out to 312 pages bc after a while the story became so monotonous and stale and I was over it by the end. Lots of spice if that’s your thing, and there’s a lot of it once they get together which happens pretty early in the book. Overall it was fine 🤷🏻♀️
It’s been awhile since I’ve read a Blue Saffire book. I immediately remembered why I chose to start reading her again in the first pages. Blue knows how to write. But this book was different. It was almost too good to be true. As a person who is madly in love with my life partner, I know a love this strong comes with little bumps along the way and takes lots of work. This was just way too easy and sometimes unrealistic. But who knows…maybe I’m the one who is misinformed. If it’s that easy for others, wow and good for you!
I enjoyed this book. Saga’s car broke down and she went into the diner to figure out next steps. Bishop eating with his band and crew when he spotted Saga. He was in a bind-he needed to finish writing the album, but he was struggling. He struck a deal with Saga. Ride the tour bus with them and he’ll get her back to CA. I didn’t think I would enjoy this book-but how could I doubt Blue? The feels this book gave off was fire!! As of today (11/25/24) only book 2 has been written in the series. I’m looking forward to the rest when they are written!
One of my favorite authors. However, I am sick of all the female leads being short and fat!! Not all women of the global majority are thick and short!!! Every book you read from this author all the female leads are the same unless their mixed, then their beautiful and tall. This really was a great story with some great moments. Bishop was really swoon worthy and truly loved Saga. I would recommend 😀
I love it when Blue writes a straightforward live story with grown people. I enjoyed both Saga and Bishop. He knew what he wanted, and he gentled his way into a lifetime partner. We think that only very young people are controlled emotionally by their parents. I like how Saga finally stood her grown and chose her own life and love. I can't wait to read how the brothers and cousin find there HEA.
The book was well written, with a natural progression and without any unnecessary drama. Bishop was really the great protagonist. My only reservations are1/ I didn’t like Bishop giving up his career. It’s unimaginative, given how artists can still perform without constantly touring. 2/ I personally don’t enjoy having family and friends marrying each other. I could do without the Isha and Dwayne as well as Knight and Reminiscence.
This book that Ms. Saffire , she did her thing as always . I was so drawn in and I couldn't stop reading if I didn't want to. I laugh Ed and I cried. It been a while that I cried in a story. This year just got that from me from this book. Best boom ever and I want to know who will be getting a store now !!!???? I can't wait to find out who its it next. Until then be awesome Blue!!!!
As always, Blue Saffire gives us a book that’s hard to put down. A story that makes you laugh, cry, get angry and start all over again. I’ve loved reading her books for almost 9 years and she’s NEVER let me down. So I’ll just say this…. Sit back and enjoy another Blue Saffire work of art💙💙. If it’s your first time reading one of her books, you’ll soon figure out why her fans call it #BlueCrack.
Absolutely love the romance between Bishop and Saga. I was curious about what happened to jag at the end but guess that's another story waiting to come. Awesome read kept me at the edge of each page. I can't wait for Sagas best friend and Bishops cousin story. As always love blue books!
Wow, this right here is the truth. Didn't read this initially so all the words within Was new to me and in true Blue Saffire fashion was done beautifully The love that shone between Bishop and Saga was felt in the pages of this book... Will be waiting patiently for book 2
I just saw Jack Reacher singing on TikTok and then I read this book and almost die! All of my feels are activated and the way Bishop loves on Saga has me wanting a love like that. I felt every emotion that Saga was feeling and every emotion that Bishop felt. The heat and chemistry was at super nova levels of heat. I don't do spoilers so read the book!
Ms. Saffire, you did the d#$n thing with this book! 👏 I loved this book, and the characters were phenomenal. The storyline was on point, and the chemistry between Saga and Bishop was smoking hot 🔥 and off the charts. I highly recommend this book to my fellow romance readers. You will not be disappointed and you will love it.
