From the USA Today bestselling author of SARA’S GAME and SARA’S PAST comes the final installment of the Sara Winthrop series, another fast-paced thriller where no one is safe and evil plays by its own rules.
Bolstered by a newfound fortune, Sara Winthrop is finally able to escape the horrific nature of her past. She’s moved her family three thousand miles, from the bustling city of Portland to the rolling Appalachians of southwest Virginia. Life is calm, the children are thriving, and she’s protected inside her rural fortress.
Or so she thinks. She soon discovers that the answers are never so easy. The illusion of security doesn’t stand a chance against two dangerous enemies with money, motivation, and an unquenchable desire for revenge.
Aided by the help of new friends and forced to the edge of extremes, Sara must find a way to win at all costs, or die trying.
Ernie Lindsey grew up in the Appalachian Mountains of southwest Virginia, working on the family farm and reading, and has spent his life telling stories to anyone that will listen. He currently works as a freelance writer and is the author of five Mystery & Suspense novels and numerous short stories. When he's not writing, you can find him tackling the gigantic To Be Read list on his Kindle or the never-ending stack of books in his office.
Ernie and his family live in Oregon, along with a multi-fingered Hemingway cat named Luna.
Not my favourite from the Sara Winthrop series BUT nevertheless, a good read :).
The one thing I really liked about this book was the last 10% of it, how much the story and the characters lives were being gambled with! Are they ALL going to die? Is Teddy already dead? Irina? Where is Randall? I really did think for a bit that there was going to be no happy ending for our heroes, and that the demented Shelley and Patty had prevailed, and that made me sad!
However, although the ending was still not a totally happy one, it was at least satisfactory in the sense that nearly everyone survived Shelley and Patty's rage! Let's hope that Sara really does find peace now!

A very gripping climax to this trilogy edge of the seat suspense. I have really enjoyed this series although I did feel it was getting a bit far fetched but its fiction so....
The third book of the trilogy has Sara in peril again. Written with violence and gruesome detail. Not exactly my taste. Male author! I thought the Sara Winthrop series was a very enjoyable read however from the first book Sara's character changes to the second and third. I liked her best in the first book for sure. There were also some points in the story that should've been cleared up but weren't. Like her husband, what happened to his body? And why did Shelley's character change so much from the first to third book? There was just so much more that could have made this a better read in my opinion.
I absolutely loved reading the whole 3 book series. I could not put it down. I feel asleep reading. I felt sorry for what they all had went through, especially Sara, Teddy, and the poor children. If they turned out "normal", I would be surprised. Kudos to you. It has been a while since I read a book/series that has kept my interest like this has. For that, I thank you.
This is a great series. Each book has been hard to put down until the end, just to have me grab the next one and keep going. Sara's story is fun exciting and heartbreaking. Being a mom made me feel everything she felt trying to keep her kids safe. This is one incredibly tough mom with her own mission to stay alive.
I have read the whole series and the main characters are believe able, the action is page turning and gripping. Most authors don't show the reader any excitement till the last few chapters but these books are different. I would recommend them to anyone who a gripping story.
I will read more books from this author I am sure he will be one of my favorites in the future.
3.5. I found it enjoyable, although I don't really like Patty's character, as the parts with her being a sex crazed lunatic which made me feel uncomfortable. I also knocked my rating down 1/2 star because of grammar errors.
I have read all three of the writer's "Sara" books and they each diminished in quality from the previous. Sara's Fear was exceptionally contrived with the main character acting absurdly. It was also predictable.
Wow... I didn't really like the last chapter tho... I mean she left it on such a what?! But than again a finished product... Or he sorry. I can't remember I read a lot of books at a time. Sorry. Again.
Sara has plenty of trouble with the crazy women trailing her. Every page of this book is stocked full of excitement! Good deal but scary sad towards the end!
What a nice way to tell a story about a lady and her three kids in the Pacific Northwest. Yes the story gets a little blood thristy, but what good story doesn't. If you like a story with action then read the Sara Winthrop series.
I love these Sara Winthrop series books! So much suspense & the characters jump off the page. They're very memorable & all have been given great personalities. This series is a must read.
Man..this last book in the series is just AMAZING!!! I absolutely loved it!! Said that the babysitter died...I do hate that but glad that the rest made it!! Awesome book and awesome series!!
Non-stop action, edge-of-your-seat suspense awaits you in this final book in the Sara series. Couldn't put it down. Ernie Lindsey is one exciting writer who will keep you guessing until the very end. I highly recommend this series.
All three books kept me turning pages, I enjoyed them all. If you read them you will know why I liked this one just a little extra. Enjoy Sara, Teddy and the others, it is fun getting to know them.
This is the third book in a three book "Sara's ..." series . I felt this is best of the three books. But the catch is that you have to read the prior two, to get the hang of this book's narrative.
I've read the first three books about Sara Winthrop and I loved them all. They are all fast paced and very entertaining. I can't wait for Ernie Lindsey 4fh book in this series
The characters were believable and the story line kept you wondering what was next. After the first book, I couldn't wait to get to the next one. Great reading
Double the assassins makes for double the tension. Found the characters of the good guys compelling. Will spread the word to my fellow book club members.
This book definitely brings to gather the previous two books in the series and combines it into one where it continues to follow each character I actually enjoy this one better than the other two
Good third chapter, stands alone well but reads even better after the first two! More with continued characters & a few newcomers too! Definitely worth the read.
