Kingston “King” Abbott’s transformation from a shy charmer to a brash, untamed romantic was shaped by life’s harsh twists. After being stripped of his soulmate and the future they had meticulously planned, King returned from a three-year hiatus with clear to avoid his father’s shadow, to cruise the city streets with a touch of rebellion, and most importantly, to find the perfect partner whom he could support, safeguard, and cherish without reserve. During this pursuit, King encountered a vivacious, quick-witted classmate who captivated him instantly, igniting an impulsive desire to make her his wife.
Yasmin “Min” Averhart’s brush with a life-altering ordeal had snatched away her independence but, in doing so, had crystallized her life’s mission. Born into privilege and grounded by dreamy romanticism, Yasmin encountered a renowned, women-only exotic dancer. Yearning for the kind of enduring love her parents shared led her straight into King’s arms, convinced he would offer her a lifetime of happiness. However, she soon found herself grappling with King’s overprotective nature, which threatened her need to explore life on her own terms.
This was one of the most ridiculous things I’ve ever read. At first it was decent but then as the story progressed it felt like I was reading a Madea play. From the over emphasized use of “burnt and ultra dark” to the word “coo” it’s safe to say that I was over it by page 150. This is one of those books that did not need to be 310 pages. I found myself wanting to skip ahead just to be done with it. King’s obsession with finding Min was very cringe and the story of his parents felt so unnecessary. Why was he throwing folks in his trunk every other chapter? I’m glad to be done with this book. I feel like it was overly hyped.

This book had me hollering! I was no more good do you hear me! These people were fried and deserved some type of compensation. It took everything in me not to flare my asthma. All type of skeletons were falling out of the closet. Don’t try to eat or drink while reading this! You’ll mess around and choke! Sensational job! I can’t wait for her next release.
Y’all please understand this book was nasty and smutty! The way she describes Kingston when it comes to him going to poundtown WHEW!!!! It makes you want to get nasty immediately. Kingston was unhinged, a menace, a demon, a walking definition of IDGAF. That man said what he said and meant it every time. Min was the perfect balance for Kingston. Mind you she was a little off balance as well but they balanced the hell out of each other. She was just as nasty as Kingston. Before they met they each sent a separate prayer up to God and I need y’all to understand that he gave them exactly what they asked her. I hate the bomb that got dropped on Kingston and his siblings but I love that they were able to move forward and continue loving each other despite they messed up parents. Chile, Min’s parents were goals okay!!!! Kingston and Min truly wanted and brought out the best in each other and it was beautiful despite him being crazy af. Just know you did not want to be on Kingston’s bad side, there’s rope, the trunk, a hole and dirt. It will make sense when you read it. Very much a good read with laughs, love, and unhinging.
I needed this book! The laughter that left my mouth. The way Min and King loved on each other was beautiful. Them 2 had me in tears. Especially at the end. The was Min described how King kept logging out was Priceless!! I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I don't thunk a book can top this one. All the books I enjoy really well never get topped til the following year. Lets see how this goes.
Between Kingsley and August I’m in love with family. They daddy was horrible. Yasmin was definitely King’s “One”. They were truly soulmates, she was able to give him back the same energy he gave. I hope we get more, I would love to read about Mona and August journey too!
This book was a mess😂😂. I loved King crazy self. Min was just as off in the head as King. I love the bond between the siblings and cousins. They loved each other throughout everything. I would really like a book on August and Mona. I believe an update on all their crazy butts will be good.

King was definitely bae❤️ from the first page this book had me hooked! It kept me laughing. I loved king and his crazy!! The bond he shared with his siblings and cousin was beautiful .. I hate how the mama treated them, I loved the dad and his kids relationship(at first) I hated how they cut ties with him(I understand where king was coming from) I just wished they could’ve worked it out. King and Min were meant to be I loved their relationship..this is a book I highly recommend
The title alone had me curious. Once I started to read the story nothing could've prepared me for the chain of events that occurred.
I was taken a back when I realized I was reading the life of a stripper and male tute. He was off the chain and then he met his off the chain mate for life.
I was stunned about the revelation of Blanche and Otta. He was a cruel man. I hated Blanche took her hurt out in the kids instead of her no good husband.
This was a good book! I was a little lost in the beginning but it kept me laughing so I stuck with it which I'm happy I did. While King and Min were the MMC and MFC that August is hilarious I mean kept my laughing out loud I'd love to read a book about him. When he had his serious moment he was right on point with what he was speaking about. (Gotta read it to know).
This is my 1st book by this author but I will forsure read more of her work.
I feel like with this book I was dropped into the continuation of a story and a lot of stuff about the book just wasn't doing it for me. what was with folks only wanting to have sex in groups unless they wanted to be serious. also, what was up with what seemed like a proposal from his cousin to a lady in a group of chicks that seemed to like running trains on guys or just group sex in general. I stopped even trying to finish it.

This was a very different yet funny and sometimes gutwrenching story. At 1st, I was like, wtf am I reading? As I kept reading, it got more interesting and gave insight to the main characters' personalities. Give it a try o think you may like as I wound up doing so.
At first, when I started reading this, I was a little lost cause I didn't know what was going on, but after a while, I still understand it and it became good. Great job on the book. In the front cover of the book was amazing. I wish I could meet that man in that picture.
I enjoyed this read! King was quite the stripper and his way of putting people in trunks when they made him mad was wild!! The family secrets were revealed and changed the dynamics of their life! King and Ultra were made for each other! I liked August a lot! I knew Vila was gonna catch feelings for King, however he had his one. The ending was hilarious! King was so sensitive to the birth!
I loved this story!! King and Min were so perfect for each other, both were at a time in their lives that they were ready to start their forever and that’s what they did together!! This story was hilarious I laughed I mean really laughed from beginning to end. Ms. Jones you did your thing with this one five stars!! I’ll be waiting on August’s and Mona’s story
I love this story! The love this man had and how his family loved him and respected him! He had a temper but he was awesome! He had the biggest heartbreak only to find love again! When he was blessed he was blessed at the right time! I loved it! I laughed, I cried, I giggled and I felt the pain and I felt the joy! I recommend this book!
When I say this book gave all,the vibes.I mean it. It’s definitely my favorite boook of the year so far.when I tell you every character had a little bit of comedian in em. That’s what I mean baby. The love, the truths given to one another was top tier.
When life becomes too overwhelming sometimes we need to travel in an uncomfortable direction to avoid our past to experience a future meant for us. Removing toxicity from our surroundings will build healthy relationships and create positive connections.
Whew TUK did not disappoint! This book had me hollering, rolling and crying! No disappointments in this standalone. I loved it. First time reading from authoress and I’ll be reading from her some more!!
A good read with the right amount of drama, secrets, lies, crazy, and love. With well developed, likeable characters that have some family dysfunction but also a bond that is wonderful. I enjoyed every page of this book and will definitely recommend it to my reader friends.
This book was a little weird to me which make sense because the main characters were weird AF. I didn’t connect with the characters at all but the shenanigans that took place kept me entertained so 3 stars.
This book was well written, funny and kept kept me intrigued the whole story it was a while written. I love how King goes hard for the ones he love and did not tolerate disrespect
It normally takes me a few hours to read a book. This one took me a month since i hate dnfing books. Once i start i have to know how it ends. Him being uncircumcised & her being ultra ultra dark becomes the personality of the book.
The book was good, but it was the ending that had me cracking the fudge up!! 🤣🤣 it wasn’t dark, but there was a dark side to him. it was a good story overall.!!! …… No cliffhanger!
This was a pretty good read. It was hot, spicy and unhinged. Love is out there for everyone, not just who society deems as normal. Unhinged met unhinged and it was altogether lovely. Y'all just read the damn book.
I can’t say it was horrible, but it wasn’t good either! The intent was there, but the execution was not. It was super cringey, but it was definitely funny!
