Dnf at 31%

Maybe I'm just cranky today but if I hated someone for 10 years there is no way I would be letting them touch me within 10 days of reconnecting. Which is why at 31% I stopped reading when they're on a plane back from their wedding less than 24 hours later she lets him "help her relax" even though she was super upset about everything. He hasn't even apologized yet for leaving her after taking her v card and ghosting her for 10 years. Yes his feelings for her are strong but she doesn't know that yet or why he wanted to marry her but she still let him use his magic fingers and mouth on her and she just melted and forgot everything apparently. The story would probably be good if I kept reading but I'm just not in the mood for one of those FMC's that give in as soon as he touches her. There should be a special trope for this as a warning like "fmc hates mmc until he uses a magic appendage on her and all is forgotten within 3 seconds because the O is worth more than pride and dignity." Maybe a little wordy but at least I would know what I'm getting into. I was hoping for some grovel but there's none yet that I know of and I'm just not in the mood to continue. (On a side note I usually do like the author's books I just can't with this one though)

I tried so hard. There was nothing likable about the male lead. On the flimsiest of reasons he left her. These are supposed to be passionate mafia men and we’re supposed to believe that on the flimsiest excuse he will break her.. walk out and stay gone for ten years… then suddenly he remembers he can’t let anyone have her.. after ten years. TEN YEARS. Hilarious by the way there was nothing keeping them apart no real reason. Nothing at all he could have came for her at any time but no TEN YEARS.

I liked the small banter between Allegra and Gian, but I felt like their relationship building was just sex. I loved seeing all four Rossi brothers together in this book, but I’m still not loving this series as much as some of the other B. B. Hamel books I’ve read.

Allegra Rinaldo is the mafia princess of the Rinaldo mafia crime family. The was set to marry Don Renzo Rossi in an arranged marriage but she fled two before leaving Renzo having to find someone else instead. Her actions was a disrespect to not only her family but to Don Rossi. After Don Rossi went and get married to Maddie one of his office manager, Don Rinaldo was upset with him because he didn't give him the chance to find his daughter after she fled. Don Rossi then promise him that he can have his second in command Saul Rossi to solidify their alliance, and he was happy with the choice. However, Gian Renzo younger brother was unhappy with the news. Gian Rossi and Allegra Rinaldo had a one week fling when the two were enrolled at Blackwood College. Gian took Allegra virginity then suddenly disappeared on her. The two use to spend all their waking moments together with each other then one day Allegra was waiting for him to show up in class but he never did. She taught that something had happened to him until she saw his brother Instagram post with Gian in Vegas.
She was devastated and heartbroken because she had fallen in love with him, and the sad part is she had to go through her depression and heartbreak by herself. Because she couldn't let another one know about their relationship not even her cousin Sophia who was her best friend and roommate. Gian just up and leave dropped out of school and didn't tell his dad why and the only reason why his father gave him their Vegas connection to overseas was because he had looked so down and depressed. Gian is still deeply in love with Allegra even after ten years of not seeing her. He could've lived with her marrying Renzo because he's the Don and there was nothing that he could do about it but to stay away from the family. However, he stand by and allow Saul to marry her because Saul was the only one who knew about their relationship years ago.
Gian asks Saul not to go through with the wedding but he tells him that he can't because they need the marriage alliance to the strengthen the family because their a war brewing and for the first time the Russians and the Irish has joined forces against the Italians. Gian was upset with his brother saying that he has his head far up Renzo's ass and didn't care how he felt. Gian didn't care about what the family had go on and that they were fighting for their survival he only cared about his feelings and his deep seated pain from not being with Allegra even though it was he who had broke the relationship off. Gian gets Allegra in a room at her engagement party and made her a proposition. He tells her not to marry his brother and instead marry him and he free her in year and this would give her the freedom of being whomever she wanted to be. He knows that a divorce doesn't happen in the mafia world and plans on finessing her during the year into staying with him. Allegra has not stopped loving Gian over the ten years and has never been with anyone else since he left her.
Gian was willing to do anything in his power to get Allegra and to make sure that she didn't marry Saul. His would suffer any consequence as long as he has her. Allegra and Saul was set to get married in a month. But she and Gian ran away to Vegas and got married in a beautiful ceremony. However, this did not went well with the families and there were consequences for their action. Saul was upset with Gian for stealing his in bride given what's at stake with war and beat him up. Don Rinaldo felt like their actions were a betrayal and decided to draw out of alliance to fight with the Rossi's against the Russian and the Irish. He disown his daughter for going against him. She and Saul was considered as a good match because of his status in the family but because Gian didn't whole in position Don Rinaldo was angry with their betrayal. As Gian and Allegra spend time to she realized that Gian really loves her with his actions and touch and decided to give her marriage a chance. The two fought their love and HEA and was able to get the forgiveness from the Rossi family even though it was tough.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Gian and Allegra) IRON RINGS follows the second chance relationship between our story line couple. Approximately ten years earlier Allegra Rinaldo fell in love with Gian Rossi but after a short time together, Gian Rossi ghosted Allegra never to be seen again. Fast forward to present day wherein Allegra, having ran from two arranged marriages to two of Gian’s brothers, finds herself facing the man who broke her heart but the man with whom Allegra was still in love. With an offer she cannot refuse, Allegra and Gian head to Vegas to get married, that results in the ire of two estranged Mafia families, families at war with one another. What ensues is the rebuilding romance and relationship between Allegra and Gian,and the potential fall-out as the Russians and Irish take aim at the Italian mobs.

The world building continues to focus on the Rossi Crime family as their struggle to regain a hold of the territory once controlled by their father. Shoring up support with a marriage between the Rossi’s and Rinaldo’s doesn’t go according to plan, when the marriage in question is deemed a betrayal by the other side.

The relationship between Gian and Allegra is one of second chances. Gian ghosted Allegra ten years earlier but he never forget about the woman who had stolen his heart With a new start and new possibilities, Gian makes Allegra an offer, one year and then she can walk away. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate.

Once again the secondary and supporting characters include Gian’s brother Renzo (Maddie), Saul and Carlo; the ailing mother Stella, and Renzo’s right hand man Dante. We are introduced to Allegra’s father Don Rinaldo, as well as her cousin Sophia, whose allegiances are questionable for our story line heroine.

IRON RINGS is a story of power and control, betrayal and vengeance, secrets and lies, family and relationships, forgiveness and love. The fast paced premise is dramatic and intriguing; the romance is seductive and emotional; the characters are desperate and dynamic.

Allegra Rinaldo and Gian Rossi

This was my first book by BB Hamel, and I really enjoyed it! It was a very engaging story and had me constantly turning the page.

Allegra and Gian have history from college, but they haven’t seen each other in ten years. In college they had a week long fling together before Gian disappeared and broke Allegra’s heart.

After Allegra fled her arranged marriage to Renzo Rossi, she now is set to marry his brother and second in command Saul Rossi. While Renzo didn’t know Gian and Allegra’s history, Saul does. Gian goes to his brother and asks him to get out of this arranged marriage due to his past with Allegra. Because of the war going on Saul says the two families need this unification, and he tells Gian he’s going through with the marriage.

Gian convinces Allegra to marry him for one year instead of his brother. She obviously doesn’t have trust in him due to their past, but after considering his offer she decides it’s her best chance. They fly to Vegas and secretly get married without either family knowing.

Once they come back, there are issues with both families. None of them are pleased with how the secret marriage was handled. Some feel betrayed, while others think there is more to the story than what Gian and Allegra are telling them.

I felt like Gian’s reasoning for ghosting Allegra back in college was a bit weak. It took awhile for the reveal, and I just felt like with all the buildup and hurt and animosity between them, that it was going to be something more.

There were lots of sweet moments in this which I was a bit surprised with. It was clear that Gian was down bad for Allegra. And while I wouldn’t say this was overly spicy, he definitely had a filthy mouth 🥵

Carlo seems like a fun time 🤣 I would really enjoy a book about him.

Overall I was really pleased with this book. I hope we get more books in the future with Saul and Carlo.

This is the next book in this series. All the great characters are in this one too. This series dosnt have to be read in order but it heightens the enjoyment of the story.
Allegra Rinaldo is our beautiful and innocent MFC. To escape an arranged marriage she had ran away, escaping to her Nonnas compound in Italy. Now her papa (The Don ) is calling her back. She’s to marry another. Renzo’s, (the original match) younger brother Saul Rossi, second in command to their Famiglia. There’s a war going on and they have to join forces against the Russians and the Irish, who are working together.
You see no matter how talented and how much you knew..it came down to being a woman in trade of bettering the Famiglia. And her being his only daughter meant she had value. So back home she’s lead.
Gian Rossi is our handsome MMC. And the reason she doesn’t want to marry any of the Rossi’s. The two has a heart breaking history, going back to their college days. It’s been nearly ten years since Gian has seen Allegra, and still he can’t forget her. When Allegra first sees Gian she’s shocked and flooded with past memories. He was supposed to be in Vegas. Where he went after getting what he wanted from her and disappearing…or so she thought.
But as we know in life, there’s always two sides to a coin. Allegra didn’t know the reason he left.
This is where it gets so interesting. In no way do I want to spoil this book or series for that matter, so I’m going to be skimpy on story line. This awesome story Includes a Vegas trip, a wedding, descension in both families, excommunication from her family, childhood friendships destroyed, realization how far the mother’s disease has gone, a big gesture to win her father back and more! Please get and enjoy B B Hamel’s writting at its best🥰. And yes they do have a happy ending. It’s sweet and sexy too😛.You will be totally immersed in the story line.🥰👍🏻

“Iron Rings” is book 2 in the Rossi Crime Family series by B. B. Hamel. It’s a dark Mafia romance that can be read as a standalone story. It’s a fast-paced story told in first person through the eyes of the two main characters.

Gian and Allegra had a brief relationship about 10 years prior to the time of this story. Things ended badly when Gian disappeared from her life without explanation. Now, Allegra is an impossible position for a Mafia Princess; after running away from Gianni’s eldest brother, she’s now been promised to his other older brother. All her life, Allegra has been taught that the needs of her family come before anything else in life, especially her own hopes and dreams. When Gian makes her an irresistible offer, it links them together and puts them against both of their families, who were relying on the planned marriage to cement an alliance between them. Now, her father is furious because Allegra defied him, Gian’š powerful brother is furious because he’s been embarrassed and made to look weak, and the Russian and Irish crime families have increased their focus and aggression toward the Italian mafias.

Watching the lead characters try to figure out their goals, their relationship, and how to handle the ramifications of their decisions is interesting and entertaining. Even when they’re angry with each other, the chemistry between them is irresistible. If you read the first book in the series, you’ll recognize some of the secondary characters including his brothers, ill mother, and other members of the Rossi inner circle. There is plenty of drama and intrigue, plotting and scheming, passion and promise. I’m looking forward to the third book in the series.

This is the 2nd story in the A Fake Marriage Mafia Romance - Rossi Crime Family Series. When Allegra Rinaldo was in college she had 1 blissed week with Gian Rossi and out of no where he left without a word breaking her heart full of hate for all Rossi men. When her father the Don arranges a marriage to Renzo the Rossi Don she runs away to Italy only brought back to another arranged marriage to his brother, Saul. Allegra knows it’s a good match with no love, make babies and live in a safe sheltered life. Gian whose been in Vegas for the past 10 years returns to Philly full of pain of another man marrying his woman and makes a deal with Allegra. They run away to Vegas to a beautiful private ceremony and face the consequences of their decisions.
The Rinaldo and Rossi families were to unite to fight the Russian’s and Irish and the Rinaldo Don backs out of his alliance. Gian and Allegra find themselves going through emotions they never saw coming and that husband of hers is genuinely in love with her proving each day with his words and touches. Slowly Allegra sees what’s right in front of her and comes to terms with her unexpected happiness. It’s wonderful to see how Gina’s family accepts her and sees what’s really important - Trust and Family. These two are a force and show others exactly what their made of and when things don’t go exactly as planned live gives you unexpected gifts in many ways. What had happened to Allegra Rossi? This Mafia princess must have had a powerful reason to defy everything she had been taught in her life. Gian Rossi surprised me with his reaction to the new news. The Rossi needed the Rinaldos to have the upper hand in the war and now, what was going to happen? It's good that after the Don's stormy relationship, the answers were immediate. Allegra Rinaldo and Gian Rossi star in this story with a past in common that still was affecting their lives and threatened to shake everything. Rossi and Rinaldo found themselves facing each other when the solution seemed to be within reach. Gian Rossi kept me intrigued with his way of thinking and the internal struggle that did not let him overcome what could have and move on. Dramatic was his situation, which, in his eyes, seemed to have no alternatives. I was interested in how he handled his relationship with Allegra and his deference to her needs. The boy was not selfish at all. I liked Mandy and Renzo's interventions; Carlo made me laugh with his comments and Saul left me thinking. BB Hamel gangsters are interesting, with their mafia families and their different characters molded by chaotic circumstances. I love that they provoke feelings in me. Once again, Allegra finds herself being promised to one of the Rossi brothers in marriage. Having left the country to not to have to wed Renzo, Allegra finds herself being brought back home only to be told she is now set to marry Saul Rossi. Saul is the brother to Renzo, Gian, and Carlo. Allegra knows this will be a marriage in name only and Saul has already told her that he will make sure his affairs are well hidden as not to shame her. What no one else knows is that Gian is not happy about his brother marrying Allegra as he has had a thing for her since they met in college. While Allegra might “hate” Gian now, they find a way around her marrying Saul, and in 1 year she will be given a divorce and allowed to do whatever she wants with her life.

Gian gives up a lot to his brother in hopes that he will be able to win Allegra over and make her want to stay married to him. But as with all arrangements, there is always some type of disagreement, danger, betrayal, and of course some spice! Looking forward to seeing a book on Saul and Carlo so they can get their HEA’s!

I am a little confused however, as Renzo and Maddie had a daughter named Ruby, but in this second book, it was a son named Brando? Maybe an oversight on the author and proof readers?

Love this couple!!

This is the 2nd book in the Rossi collection (Renzo and Mattie being the first), and I really enjoyed this second chance story.

As with most of the Italian Mafia stories, the women are married off to secure alliances, and this is isn't any different... except that Allegra managed to skip out of that situation twice!
That is, until Gian manages a second chance to connect with her - and he's not letting her slip through his fingers again!!

I really enjoyed the drama, dangers and intensity of this storyline, as well as the emotional journey of this couple. Allegra doesn't deserve her family's reactions, but she rallies and ends up having the HEA I wanted.

These characters are easy to love and connect with, and this couple's chemistry and steamy scenes kept me flipping pages!!

I really appreciate this author's creativity with this family, and can't wait for the next brother to find his forever love. I was fortunate to receive a complimentary copy of this story and am excited to leave my review. Read in order for the best experience, and to avoid spoilers.

Once done with the Rossi family, I suggest reading the other series in this talented author's catalog of works. Worth your time, IMO.

In it she chronicles the second chance at love romance of Allegro Rinaldo and Gian Rossi, both are prominent members of two powerful Italian Mafia families. Ten years ago, while in college, they fell in love. Due to the rivalry between the two families, their love was kept secret. Realizing how much Allegra would lose if they continued, Gian left her and ghosted her for 10 years. Now, when the Dons of both families arranged a marriage between Allegra and his brother, Gian returns determined to stake his claim. Will he be successful? Can Allegra forgive him for his leaving? What type of relationship exists between these two powerful Italian Mafia families? To find out you must read this book.

Ms. Hamel does it again with another captivating mafia romantic read. Her skill utilizing literary devices is outstanding. Her dialog, both conversational and internal monologues, are entertaining, as they reveal a concise picture of her characters’ identities. The lead characters are multi-dimensional. The secondary characters add interest and help to move this plot along. I liked the way she uses intrigue to enhance this character-driven romantic plot and capture her readers attention.

Loved Allegra & Gian's story & was hooked from the start to finish. After doing a runner on her arranged marriage to Renzo Rossi in the previous book to save the deal between the two families she now has no choice but to marry Saul Rossi.
Thinking things couldn't get any worse the Rossi brother she had a brief romance years before turns up out of the blue with an offer that ordinarily she would be silly to refuse however there is a love hate thing going on she hates him for just leaving her with no explanation & he loves her having fell so hard for her.
Gian has no intention of letting his brother Saul marry the woman he has always loved so offers her a proposal he hopes she won't want refuse.
There's a will they won't they relationship between them, she's sassy stubborn & there's a lot of steamy scenes but there is a lot of drama & pain caused by her father which at times get emotional for Allegra.
It's great to see Gian's family take her in as one of their own & making sure her father gets what he deserves.
Am loving this series & can't wait to read the next brother's story.

This is the second Rossi family book. It features the youngest brother, Gian. And the love of his life, Allegra Rinaldi. They had a glorious one week fling in college. Until he ditched her because he knew it would hurt her. See she’s from a rival family and very close to her father the Don. But when she is arranged to be married to Renzo she runs away. To save the alliance she is arranged to marry Saul. But Gian can’t stand that. So he convinces her to run away to Vegas and get married. He will release her in a year so she can rule her own life. But things get complicated when Saul beats Gian up. And then her father disowns her. And he will not hold up his end of the alliance. And the more time they spend together the more Allegra becomes attached to Gian. Will she stick around after a year? Will they convince her father to uphold his end of the alliance? Their road to a Happily Ever After is full of twists and turns, danger and passion. Very steamy passion. I can’t wait to see which brother falls next.

B.B has done another great job! I just love Gian and Allegra 's story,I could feel her pain when Gian ups and ghost her so many years before,and I felt like she was a peace of meat when she was told she had to marry Gian 's older brother and she takes off before she does then her father gets her home and then he tells her that she is going marry his brother Saul.I couldn't stand her father at all,he has blinders on and he seems likes he is always right regardless, Gian makes a deal with Allegra before she marry his brother,stay marry to him for a year and he will let her go,he has hopes that she will care for him before the year is up.Those too grow closer and closer and in the end she does fall in love with him.Her cousin Sophia is a joke two,and I couldn't stand her either,her alone should stand with Allegra but she is along but she does have the backs of Gian's family! PLEASE READ,a lite Mafia story!

Iron Rings is the second book of The Rossi Crime Family series. This time, it tells the story of Gian Rossi, who is the youngest of the four brothers. He had a fling with Allegra Rinaldo while they were in college ten years ago.

Allegra Rinaldo is a mafia princess from the Rinaldo Crime Family. She was supposed to marry one of the other Rossi brothers but Gian eloped with her. At first, the deal was to stay married for a year while Gian works with his brothers to end the war with two other crime families in the area.

However, their feelings for each other returned, and eventually, they realize that their fling was meant more.

I enjoyed reading this book, and the spicy scenes were hot and their sexual chemistry was strong between them. Even their banter was sweet. Gian encouraged her be the best version of herself rather than just a mafia princess and Allegra gave Gian a second chance in their relationship.

This book had me from the moment I started it! I fell so in love w/Gian & Allegra’s story. I always enjoy a good mafia romance, but I especially enjoy when it’s a second chance romance. I couldn’t wait to find out the reason why Gian ghosted Allegra 10 years prior. They met in college & had one amazing week together where they both fell in love, but for certain reasons Gian just up & left, breaking her heart.
This was a great read & the spice was very hot! Gian was beyond perfect. He was so protective, sweet, caring & determined to do anything to get a HEA w/Allegra! And Allegra was equally as great. I loved how she gave him a little taste of his own medicine in the beginning. All the Rossi guys are great, I really enjoyed Carlo’s humor too. I’m excited for both Carlo and Saul to get their stories! Especially Saul.

What I liked- this is an excellent series and this book is my favorite. He loves her so very deeply and it gave me all the feels. I always enjoy a good First Love, Second Chance story. The zexytime is super hot and it has feeling behind it, which makes it even better. There’s fanservice shirtlessness. The plot is strong with an emphasis on family dynamics. And the writing was very good.

Now that he is back thinking of Allegra being passed around his brothers, makes him want to murder someone. He makes Allegra an offer of his own. This is a passionate mafia romance with lots of twists and turns that include fake marriage, family drama and suspense. Well worth the read in B.B. Hamels’s “Rossi Crime Family” Series.

Allegra Rinaldo has been hiding out at her Nonna’s countryside home in Sicily. She is the Don’s only daughter. She didn’t want to be forced to marry Renzo Rossi who is the head of the Rossi Family. She is being brought home to marry Saul Rossi, Renzo’s brother and second in command.

Gian Rossi is the youngest brother. He and Allegra went to Blackwoods College together. They had a week long fling but Gian leaves school and doesn’t come back. He has been running the family business in Las Vegas. He comes back to Philadelphia after being gone for the last 10 years.

The Russians and the Irish are working together to try to take over the Italians business, specifically the Rossi Family Business.

Crazy story of Gian and Allegra’s past plus the fight with the Russians and the Irish. Another great story.

Fighting For His Woman -
Oh my frigging God! This was a fantastic tension-filled, action-packed steamy, enemies to lover romance, with a mafia element woven through, which made my reading experience truly worthwhile. The story started on a highly charged note and didn’t slow down for the entirety. I was glued to the pages, whilst eagerly turning the pages to see if they managed to find the happiness together they were stubbornly dancing around.

This is a story that deserves to be read in one sitting, so I urge you to ensure you carve out an entire day to truly appreciate and enjoy it. This is a definite must read book, that you can’t miss out on reading.

Gian and Allegra

What happens in college doesn't always stay in college.... Time only increases the need and longing both Gian and Allegra feel for each other. But when Gian discovers a plan for Allegra to marry his brother, he can no longer standby and makes many rash decisions that may lead him to a long happy life with his wife.
Allegra is starting to realize that family is more than the one you are born into. Sometimes making your own way and finding your path can lewd to your own happiness.
Gian is settling back in with the family and finding his own place within the organization.
This story has so much trauma, drama, mystery, tragedy, love, lust and romance, it is a great addition to the Rossi family!!! Can't wait for more of them.

Allegra Rinaldo is the daughter of the Don of the Rinaldo Famiglia and Gian Rossi is brother to the Don of the Rossi Famiglia. Their story is intense and funny at times, dramatic and heartbreaking, consuming and extremely HOT! This is an excellent arranged/fake marriage story to unite 2 strong families in alliance amidst a war. Gian and Allegra have history so when it's arranged for her to marry Saul, Gians brother, well things get pretty heavy. Gian is determined and Allegra is still ticked off because of how Gian treated her back then. This girl is tough! She gives as good as she gets and she doesn't cut Gian any slack. As always with this author you're in for one heckuva wild ride!

Gian and Allegra’s history has had her behaving in ways she shouldn’t in her family, leading to big trouble for her. His reappearance in her life and them making a deal causes a lot of drama, especially for her, getting her kicked out of her family. Gian really steps up and works to make things right with and for her. His family sucks at times, but come around. Her family is a huge disappointment. Not too much other drama. Once Gian gets her going physically, everything starts changing. He is very good a taking care of her and pushing her in the right ways. I like his family’s acceptance of her.

I got totally pulled into this mafia second chance romance. Allegra has been told she will marry into the Rossi family unite their families forming an alliance amidst a war. Gian Rossi, who ghosted her ten years earlier, has never stopped loving her. He gives her the choice of a one year marriage with him with her freedom in the end. Wooo, hotness abounds as Gian is determined to convince her that she is his forever. I loved how Allegra made him work for her love. Lots of banter, mafia life, family drama, hot steamy moments, banter, realization and love. Great read. Can’t wait for the next one!

You’ll never imagine how this story will play out!
I feel for Allegra as she is summoned back home after fleeing to her grandmothers to not get married to Don Rossi, only to find out her father is marrying her off to his brother, Saul. Allegra struggles with doing the right thing by her family but doesn’t want to have anything to do with the Rossi family to escape ever having to see Gian. The reason is hidden until you captured by Gian’s offer of marriage with an escape clause in one year and a newfound freedom that Allegra always desired. Get ready for some sizzling scenes, betrayal, discovering a new family and a whole lot more!

Great book

Allegra just wanted to live her own life but her father had other plans for her she was to marry the Don but she ran away
Her father brought her back home and she was to marry second in command since the Don found him a wife
Gian was the other brother they have a history no one knows about so Gian went to Allegra and they made a deal. Saul was upset but Gian gave him is baby in return his business in Vegas so over time he was happy
Allegra tired one last temp to get on her father's good side but it didn't work. So now she has her own family and she is happy with the new life she has chosen
