This graphic novel is about a man in a small town with psychic abilities abilities, who for some reason has told the town he had them and is shocked and amazed when no one believes him. And is also shocked and amazed people thinks his services are a scam. And that he doesn’t use the internet. When he stumbled upon a series of missing persons because he thinks a cop is cute he gets a vision of someone being murdered and decides that despite him being a middle age shut in he’s going to investigate it in his own. It doesn’t go well.

Midstate #1 we meet the main character who has occasional visions and because of it he is ridiculed by his entire town, including the sheriff. Apparently he’s unable to predict the future or rather every future, and the town does not believe him. We also meet a woman with a man restrained on a table in her basement. what’s going on there?
I thought the art was pretty cool as well as the action scenes. However I just didn’t find the characters that likeable and pretty much underdeveloped. It’s a shame as I did see potential…
